Gorgeous hotel, great staff, and excellent breakfast. The suites are spacious and have plenty of room. Perfect location for an overnight or weekend stay!! Right in the middle of everything and the front desk has great recommendations for lunch and dinner!!

The staff here is excellent and provided great service from the welcome till check-out. The breakfast is fair and the environment inside the lobby, breakfast area, and room is clean and updated. This is located within walking distance to the campus and being a college town, it is still possible to travel by vehicle. A nice perk is the ability to park your car here for free. Dining is extremely close and there is a convienant park about a 10 minute walk away if you have small children. All around... Read more

I always like to stay here. It is a super location for doing anything at UVA. Weekends are hard to get reservations. They are usually full. We love the hotel for the location. The breakfasts are very good and they cook popcorn in the afternoons which is so good too. We always try and stay here.

Just stayed for four nights for a wedding. The hotel is modern and updated. Staff is friendly. Disappointed that there was no pool. But the location is fantastic, you can walk to everything, historic mall in one direction and UVA the other. The free shuttle is also a nice benefit. Breakfast is fine, good variety but nothing special. The one odd thing is that we did not get our room cleaned for two days. We were warmly greeted as a Diamond Hilton member and upgraded to a luxurious suite. This doesn't always happen and it was quite a treat, thanks to Ashmar at the front desk. The hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants and just a nice walk near the university, however, they also have a courtesy van. The van will drop you off at the downtown walking street and we thank drivers Matt and Ronnie for their prompt pick up, especially in the unexpected downpour! There is also a free bus... Read more

Recently we stayed here for four nights and this hotel is awesome. Every person regardless off the position is friendly, helpful and had a smile! The first night there was minimal parking available and our front desk attendant gave us a pass to park close. Even if you didn't see a staff member for a day or two when you did see them again, they knew who you were and greeted you like an old friend. The breakfast is well done and laid out and for a hotel breakfast was excellent. The room was sp... Read more

A little pricey, compared to some other Hampton Inns, but an extremely nice hotel. Family was only there for one night, but would definitely stay again. Room was very clean, as was the rest of the hotel, from what we could see. Did not have a chance to see the pool area.

The hotel is situated on the edge of the UVA campus and between the campus and historic downtown. A free shuttle service runs from the hotel to the university hospital. The beds have luxurious linen with at least four pillows per bed. The room includes the coffee pot, a television and a refrigerator. All very clean and quiet.

Needed a place to stay close to the downtown mall so I could attend a concert at the Sprint Pavillion. It was close enough to walk even though it was a bit of a hike in the heat, but not too bad. It is definitely walkable to the downtown mall. Room was comfortable and had everything I needed. Didn't interact much with staff, but check-in was very easy. Parking was not a problem. Quiet comfortable well-managed hotel with the best beds and bedding of any hotel in this hemisphere. We love those fluffy comforters. We stayed here one night after visiting Monticello. The staff was very nice and accommodating, beds were super comfortable, and the suite was convenient. It was extremely quiet on our floor. We stayed here for one night in a double queen fireplace suite which was up to par with Hampton quality with a few exceptions. The one bed by the window is pushed right up to the air conditioner so it is impossible for the one sleeping by the window to get in or out of the bed on their side. While the chair in living room area was comfortable, the sofa lacked in comfort and should be replaced. This was one of the first Hamptons that we have stayed at that didn't have a pool at all. Bummer experience. The hotel is very convenient to campus and thus appears to stay pretty full and is priced on the very high side for a HamptonInn flag.
