Loved the location in regards to the proximity to UVA. Right on the corner and next to Mellow Mushroom gets some bonus points. Valet needs some work. Both on arrival and departure, the attendant seemed overwhelmed and I was left standing around. In addition, I had to park my own car since the attendant didn't know how to drive a manual transmission. Very clean room / bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. I liked the decor - it had personality without being overwhelming. Checking in too... Read more

The Graduate is a design hotel done right - still cozy, still functional, not expensive, but the decor makes a statement that elevates the whole place. My kids loved the game room - bar and hang out area with ping pong, shuffleboard and foosball - and there is an adorable restaurant on the roof. The lobby and coffee bar were under construction (Dec '16), when they re-open it will be even better.

I stayed here for 1 night at the end of December. I'm assuming it wasn't the busy season since school was out and was around the Christmas holidays. Overall, the hotel is nice and in a good location with many bars/restaurants within walking and driving distance. The rooms were well done and clean. No major wear and tear in the rooms. The hotel also has a nice little bar/lounge area at the top where you can get some food and drinks. The biggest problem I have with this hotel is the Valet.... Read more

A group of our family and friends stayed at the Graduate for a family event in Charlottesville. We also hosted an evening party in the Game Room. Staff was very courteous and extremely accommodating. Very good service all around.

I dined at the rooftop restaurant with a party of eight in one of the two private rooms. It is Restaurant Week in Charlottesville. We each ordered one of the $29/3 course dinners that included a small plate, a large plate and a dessert. Wine pairings were offered for an additional charge and several members added wine to their orders. Everyone of us raved about the meal! Seven of us enjoyed the bacon wrapped shrimp small plate- delicious. Perfectly cooked bacon wrapped around large, juicy ... Read more

This is the place to stay in Charlottesville for all things UVA. Close to everything. The rooms are nice sized with a cool college theme. The second floor "adult" game room is a blast! The staff is impeccable. Manager Don Gathers is the consummate host!

Loved the Graduate. Stayed here during a 3 day road trip to visits colleges with my daughter. The Graduate is the perfect location to UVA'a campus. I wish we could have stayed longer. The only thing that was disappointing was there wasn't any breakfast options at the hotel. I understand the cafe is under renovations so that would explain it.

My wife and I were very pleased with Graduate Charlottesville. Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. Best of all, the hotel was in easy walking distance of the UVA campus. A few hours after we checked out, I realized I'd inadvertently left my hearing aids behind in the room. I feared I'd made a very expensive mistake. But a call to the front desk soon had everything fixed. The staff located my hearing aids quickly and had them waiting when I returned. All in all, a very good exper... Read more

So, first off, the hotel is very pretty and the staff very nice. My review is less than stellar for a couple of reasons. First, the room was lovely, but it was clear there had been water leakage somehow..one of the pictures on the wall had clearly gotten wet. Second, the coffee shop was closed for repair ant this was not noted on the web site. We were given a $10 off for the restaurant, which we could not use and they did provide free coffee, but it would have been nice to know. That being ... Read more
