We had a conference for work and stayed at this hotel. This is a very good hotel and they took care of everything for a great conference. The rooms were nice - but pricey! The only suggestion is not to rent a car if you are staying here as its a relatively long walk to the parking lots - especially if it is raining outside. Very nice property! Doc!!

Here several days for a wedding. Staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Pool and business area were never too busy. Great ambiance with trees surrounding the whole hotel. Enjoyed our visit. Breakfast is astronomically pricey but otherwise a good stay.

Where to begin...I called the Westfields Marriott Dulles as a crazy mom who sent her Middle School son to DC on a class trip without the much needed dress shirt for the picture in front of the Capitol! Erin R. answered the phone and instantly had a plan. She put me on hold for a few minutes while she checked the uniform department for an extra shirt, no luck :( From five hours away, panic set in, as it was now 9pm and the class picture was early the next morning. Then, without hesitation she o... Read more

The hotel is a lovely looking property both outside and inside. The rooms are comfortable but a bit dated. The concern with this property is there is really nothing else close by (i.e. restaurants, shopping, etc.) Attending a conference and taking a taxi from Dulles, you are stuck there! Friday night went to the lobby restaurant for dinner (the only place serving dinner in the hotel). There was no receptionist, the one young lady who looked like a receptionist was indifferent and surly and ... Read more

We attended an event in this hotel. It is a large venue and can handle more than one event at a time. The catered group food was quite good -- better than most. Perhaps at times over the top on quantity -- it seemed a shame to serve more food than people can possibly eat. White wine at no host bar was terrible. Rooms were -- typical. King size bed, TV, minimal tub/shower. But the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet. Included a small refrigerator. Nice grounds. But, this hotel is next to not... Read more

I hosted about 100 friends and relatives who came to northern Virginia for my daughter's wedding. Although the wedding was at another site, everyone was treated as if they were the most important guests registered. Westfields Marriott is a beautiful property and often a very good deal due to their oddly low Marriott category rating of only 3. It is every bit as nice as many 6 or 7's I have visited. But most importantly, the exceptional people who work there really do treat you like family; I rea... Read more

I traveled to DC as a group. When we got to the hotel, we were directed to wait away from the hotel for 45 mins due to some wedding being held there. Once we got into the hotel, we were told to go to our rooms and not hang out in lobby. Most of the staff was not friendly. They seemed to be concerned more about the wedding parties than their hotel guests. The food for breakfast was good and the rooms were decent. There does need to be some updating done to the hotel. The outside of the hot... Read more

I wish I stayed at the Hyatt Place down the road. I came here for a wedding and the front desk workers forgot to give out the snack boxes from the wedding party to me and many other guests. After check in I went down to the pool which was closed. I called the front desk from the above average hotel gym to ask about pool times and received a nasty tone from whomever I was speaking with (she would not tell me her name). At the restaurant inside the hotel the service was poor and my food was un... Read more

Was there for 4 days 4 conference. Nice hotel The staff was exceptional. They went out of their way 2 assist me: Front end manager and staff Van driver Valet Lifeguard Waitstaff Bartenders Only issue was that the pool had terrible hours. I swim everyday and it opened @ 10 am which made it difficult 2 go 2 my seminar & swim so had 2 skip out on my schedule 2 swim. Hotel was in an out of the way location but was beautiful grounds.

We stayed on a certificate my husband won at a raffle. The beds were amazing! They have those down comforters with the awesome, soft pillows. My husband and I just loved the bed. The facility itself was beautiful, the staff always friendly and eager to help. We never heard anything from the other rooms, like crying babies or loud TV's, which was very nice. Our stay included the breakfast buffet and all I can say is that everything was FRESH and the staff attentive and friendly. The outdoor ... Read more

Stayed here for three nights while vacationing with my son on vacation. Understood upon arriving that the hotel was noted for it's conference center, and as a retreat for company's holding meetings. It's a bit isolated located in a lovely wooded area not walking distance to restaurants or shopping, but on lovely, manicured grounds. If you're lucky enough to park in the 1st guest lot, the walk to registration isn't that bad. If full, the next lot(s) are further. The building front looks like a so... Read more

I decided to accompany my husband to the Northern Virginia area for a class he was taking for the week. I took a week off of work and figured I would spend the days reading, working out, and sitting by the pool. I rarely get breaks and thought this looked like a nice spot to take one. Unfortunately, I started my day with staff members speaking loudly outside the door, so I decided to get my hour long workout in. Room was as expected for a full Marriott property, beautiful yet dated, inconvenient parking, valet available. Likely a great place for an event or conference. Add on charges for everything, so-so internet, nothing really nearby unless you have a car (including transit). Staff was disinterested (there was at least one wedding party, so I assume they had the focus) but pleasant without really being helpful. Marriott Westfields is an interesting hotel with a gorgeous lobby area, a nice bar, and very tasty restaurant. The hotel often hosts corporate activities in it's large meeting/event rooms. The gym has all you need to burn off some of the additional calories you'll pack on before going out to the pool to catch some rays. Staff is extremely attentive.

This is a beautiful conference facility with a great and friendly staff. The rooms were nice and big and the beds were extremely comfortable. AC works great too! We ate in the lounge and the food was just ok. Nice wine by the glass selection however it is very pricey! Lots of artwork to view in the hotel and lots of trails to run on around the hotel.

We stayed at this lovely hotel when in town for our daughter's wedding. We were in an executive suite which was nicely appointed. The hotel itself is just beautiful. I would recommend it for everyday travelers who are tired of the typical hotel room experience and for special occasions as well. The staff were very accommodating and the brunch in their formal dining room was something special.

The most gorgeous hotel!!! However if you are looking for a peaceful getaway you must check with them cause it's a very popular venue for weddings and they seem to be full up all the time. I was there for one myself so I'm not complaining. For me it was one of my better stays. Spacious clean rooms and excellent service. Very helpful front desk. I was not sure how to title this review because there are so many really spectacular things about this property. What stood out to me the most was that it was located on what seemed to be a former plantation property with mature trees and lots of privacy. So I absolutely love Westfield's Marriott, and have often traveled here on business. It's a true getaway with meandering grounds and breathtaking views. The hotel itself is also gorgeous, and seems a continent away from the hustle and bustle of the city. My only issue, if you can call it that, is that to me the water smells of sulfur. I may just be extremely sensitive to the scent, but it was unmistakable and prevalent. (Again, if you're not sensitive to this smell, then no worries.)

No microwave or fridge, no breakfast, so a bit of an inconvenience for snacks and you have to drive to everything since there are no nearby convenient places to shop or eat out. The Westfield's Marriott is a very good property. It has nice but small and well-maintained grounds that make you feel away from the Beltway. The staff are friendly. The hotel is located relatively close to Dulles airport north off Hwy 28, which makes it attractive for small conferences. While close to Dulles, it is quiet and feels remote.
