The breakfast at this Inn is not complementary but boy is it good. I had the standard eggs your way, and the fruit bowl. The bowl of fruit was large and fresh and everything was really good. That's rare, isn't it. Our server, Mauricea was as helpful as good be. Way beyond the norm. Other than that, things were pretty standard and mostly good. Room and lobby clean. Folks helpful in an ordinary way. No fridge or microwave in the room. Couldn't use my HDMI device on in-room TV (automatic ... Read more

Overall, I would still book this place again knowing what I know now. It was a very comfortable hotel and my family all had a good night here. However, light sleepers may have an issue with the noise from the interstate which is very close by. All night we could hear trucks driving by, my kids are heavy sleepers and it didn't bother them in the least. I slept fine and my wife did too but if you're sensitive to noise you may want to ask for a room further from the highway. Overall, nice hote... Read more

This holiday inn needs remodeling! The lobby and halls had a stale smell. The rooms were outdated and needed new furniture and walls needed painting and redecorating! There was no complimentary breakfast! The desk clerk had an appearance that was not neat and professional.

We booked a great room through Expedia for our family and 2 pups. The hotel was very accommodating for our needs and for traveling with pets. We did not stick around for breakfast, but they had a full restaurant in the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Most of the hotel choices in this general area of TN/VA were low budget hotels/motels. We wanted and were willing to pay for just a little more luxury and we got it here at the Holiday Inn in Bristol VA. Terrific, helpful staff. Restaurant and bar has a limited menu but everything we had there was freshly prepared. Didn't taste like it was microwaved or sitting around. Bar had a nice offering of beer and other drinks. Everything was very reasonably priced. Spring for the $5 each breakfast ... Read more

We normally stay at the Marriott next door but decided to give this place a try. Big mistake. The room was nice but had no microwave or refrigerator unlike next door. The a/c unit is very noisy and kept clunking all night. We stay in the area a few times a year and the choice is clear. Not only is the competition better but is a good bit cheaper.

I did not stay at this property but attended a six day church conference. The staff was very nice. The food was often cold at the breakfast meal but average at the other meals. The conference room was clean, the lighting was good but the Mikes kept breaking down which caused problems during presentations. The property is in a great location.

Absolutely the worst experience ever. Cockroaches over took my room. When I told the manager, she replied "Welcome to Tennessee darling". Stay as far away as possible. Room smelled like smoke as well. The Ac unit was very noisy and if you try to ask the employees for help, nobody knows anything. One thing they do know is how to make sure you will never go back again. This place needs to be shut down!

The Holiday Inn is conveniently located just off of route 81 and has a good selection of nearby restaurants including Olive Garden, Outback, and Ruby Tuesday. Walmart and Cabela's are also nearby. The hotel is clean and the staff was friendly. The rooms are only average because there is no mini-fridge or microwave and the bathroom is small. The hotel is apparently pet friendly as I saw several people with dogs.

Room was nice, staff were nice, clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Ate supper in the restaurant and the sandwiches were excellent, and wait staff were attentive and quick. But, I can only give this hotel 2 stars - I wouldn't stay there again. There seemed to be many people staying there that were traveling and there was no breakfast buffet on a Sunday morning! Food had to be ordered and paid for. Never have heard of that at a holiday inn. My son and I went in the restaurant and ... Read more

We stay here once a year because it is pet friendly and has an outdoor pool. The hotel is very outdated and in rough shape. Pretty nasty. The pool area is huge and pool itself is huge but every single time we come, it is filled with bugs. The furniture outside is filthy and the pool deck itself is awful. We would love to see the pool area have a remodel bc it has a lot of potential. We love Holiday Inns but this needs some work. Staff is friendly which is a plus.

Stayed at this Holiday Inn the last weekend of July for a Convention, and highly recommend it. Rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The pool area was well kept, and clean. They have a in house restaurant and the surrounding areas have plenty of food options. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good clean nights rest.

Pretty nice compared with other Holiday Inns we stayed at. We stayed a night on our way to SC. Remodeled, clean and front desk very helpful and accommodated our room preference even though hotel was pretty busy. Loved that it also has a bar with karaoke where we had a drink and some fun before going to sleep. (we got at hotel at 11:30pm; bar opened until 2:00am) Pretty good location (I would say 8 on a 1 to 10 scale). I would stay here again if needed.

We arrived late and stayed only 1 night, and the main room king bed was good ( NOT GREAT ) , but the layout of the suite for a family was very unsuitable and uncomfortable. Its a very old hotel renovated, but the rooms to begin with were not a very good layout. They need to take 2 rooms, and make them into a proper suite like their competitors nearby like Embassy Suites, Comfort Inn, etc. We reserved thru Hotwire which of course we were offered those 3 options , but we won the Holiday Inn. Usually I wait until after I check out of the hotel before I leave a review on here, however this hotel has the worst Wi-Fi I've ever experienced. I just got here today and I'm slated to be here for a few more days, and I have no idea how I'm supposed to get my work done. I think it's pretty much understood that when you travel for business Wi-Fi is crucial. This is your typical, no-frills, right off the interstate Holiday Inn. Nothing special, nothing great. But if you're traveling for busine... Read more

We booked this hotel the day of our stay on our way back home from Nashville TN. I havent stayed at a holiday inn in years, but i was pleasantly surprised. The exterior looked dated, however the interior was on part with similar hotels. Our room was clean and there were plenty of towels and amenities. Our only complaint was the toilet seemed to be a bit loose and, as with many hotels, the lighting is terrible and mostly lit by lamps. I honestly didn't use any of the hotels amenities like t... From check in to check out, it was a great stay. Easy access from I-81 and we can't say enough about Judy (checked us in and made sure our rooms were all close together)! The food and drinks in the restaurant/lounge was second to none and the bartender knew her stuff!! Met other bikers there and had a nice casual evening. After a long day on motorcycles, the rooms were quiet and beds were comfortable. Most definitely a stop when we travel that direction!!

Overall I have to say this is a good property to stay. Check in was friendly and quick. I slept like a log so the beds were comfortable. I was surprised how small the closet space was. I packed light so it wasn't a concern for me. I did have an issue with breakfast. I was in a rush and only wanted a bagel and coffee to go. I was directed to get my own coffee from the lobby which was fine. I waited exactly 10 minutes for the bagel which never came. It was due to a rush either. There was only one... Read more

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Very quick to respond. However, just so-so room. Clean, ample-sized room. Comfortable bed. Nice hot plenty-of-water-pressure shower. AC adequate but not perfect. Very slow wi-fi.
Submitted on 20-09-2016
Our room was clean but the AC never worked real well. Our biggest concern was there was no recycling anywhere. We looked on the floors, the lobby and all guest area. We had lots of plastic water bottles and glass bottles that all ended up in the landfill. I will definitely ask about green services before I book again Other holiday inns I stay in have recycling in the rooms, on floors and lobby.

A nice hotel, very welcoming and clean well appointed rooms. The only thing that I have to complain about is the extra charge for dogs that you don't know about until you've booked the room. I guess I understand the up charge except I'm twice as conscientious when I stay somewhere with my dogs to make sure I don't mess anything up to ensure I don't ruin it for anyone else, so it's hard to pay extra when most people aren't as tidy or respectful without pets.

Room was good and well maintained. Close parking was a challenge due to being at full capacity due to conferences and the hurricane. Do not confuse with a Holiday Inn Express. No free Breakfast, we asked and got a refrigerator, no microwave. We were well treated but surprised.

Room was nice, but having to wait for breakfast which you had to choose from a menu ( which wasn't much) isn't worth the $26.95. Being told that they ran out of pancakes at 0830 isn't much better. So it's off to IHOP for a real breakfast. We thought we would try this hotel for a change from our usual but won't be making that mistake again. I only stayed here one night, but I would've loved to have had to stay longer. The hotel had some really nice amenities, and lots of things to do in the surrounding area. The restaurant/bar lounge was really top notch as well. However, the bartender could've smiled more and not have been so bitter. Jon Taffer wouldn't approve of that conduct. If you venture to the hotel bar though, be sure to try out that steak quesadilla. It still makes my mouth water. Some people might notice that the hotel do... Read more

Very glad we did not pay full price. The snack options were a joke. The restaurant was outrageously priced. The staff was mostly oblivious. But the worst part has to be the disgusting carpet in our room. There were stains everywhere and we found an opened "snack" under our bed. We won't be returning.

Being a Bristol native and still having relatives in the area, this is our hotel of choice. It is located in a good central area to downtown Bristol and to Abingdon. There are a lot of stores and restaurants close by. The staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean and they furnish you a Keurig coffee maker in every room.
