its a nice small hotel compared to some of the others in the vicinity - i like that, comfy beds - clean rooms BUT no fridges in rooms terrible noise from construction that starts at 6 am across street restaurant doesn't open until 630 - so if you are an early bird forget any food or coffee etc, and nearest 'bucks is a schlep i would prob stay back at Hyatt close by next time

I had a brief stay at the Westin while I was in town for a school reunion. It's kind of a strange thing to stay at a hotel when you're visiting a town where you used to live. The room rates were good and so was the location. The room was clean, albeit a bit worn. The bathroom had a nice, modern design. The Westin has a great location, near the Crystal City Metro stop and a close shuttle ride to the airport. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and in a good neighborhood. The restaur... Excellent location near transport, restaurants and Crystal City. Modern large rooms with very good bathrooms. Very professional and efficient staff. I particularly appreciated the running map provided and the proximity to one entrance to the Mount Vermont trail for my morning jogging + the complimentary towel and water when back at the hotel. What's missing is a gym. Also, would have preferred a buffet breakfast.

We were visiting DC for the first time over the Memorial Day Weekend. I prefer to pay cash for my rooms and not have the incidentals turned on because I don't like the hold placed on your credit card. I have done this at other hotels and this hotel would not do that without me talking to the supervisor first. I waited over 30 mins to talk with a supervisor only to be told no & still having to give a credit card. She was not very friendly during the check-in process. Made no conversation or... Read more

Great location within nightlife district, though some construction project is going on for some time. Rooms very clean, kudos to smart cleaning personnel.Coffee/tea maker in room but no fridge. Stayed in room 1404- very nice, view all right on Rt1 but interrupted sleep from around 5am because gym is located just above. There is always early riser practicing on the treadmill (banging sound).Overall, good experience.

I had a bike race early on Sunday, before the kitchen opened at 6:30 am. The kitchen staff offered to make me a breakfast sandwich early, so I could have breakfast before the race. Greatly appreciated!

I've started at many Westins in the past and this one is above average. The proximity to the metro stop is very convenient. You can be to DC in 10-15 minutes. The shuttle to DCA also is a nice touch. We encountered two issues during our stay. One was partly out of hotel control, but we had two different sets of neighbors who very loud each night. We had to call the front desk multiple times. Our was also not serviced as of 4 pm one day. We called the front desk and they took care of it r... Read more

We stayed here and the room was ok a bit dark but very clean and the bed was comfy. We didn't park here bc it was so expensive. We decided to use parking panda and we parked directly next door at the Marriott for less than $30 for our whole stay. It is extremely close to the metro which was very nice. The room was quiet and had a really large window. I would stay again.

Great hotel. Less than a mile from Reagan Int'l. The Metro is around the corner, across the street - very close. Also, inside the Metro station are shops and places to eat. There's even a CVS drugstore, and a small market next door with a fresh salad bar. There is shuttle service to and from the airport however, I had a 6 am flight going home and I asked for a 4:15 am shuttle back to the airport, and was informed the hotel shuttle does not start running until 5am! The room was great. It was ... Read more

We had a very comfortable stay at this lovely property. The room was quiet, elegantly furnished, much more than the usual room at "a nice hotel". Very lovely colors, details like a reading light at the bed's headboard, (on each side of course), lovely space for cloths (also a rarity these days) and a feeling of safety in the place.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and have had a great experience each time. Staff was helpful, beds are comfy and it is very convenient to the metro. Only downside is parking is $32 a day but street parking is free on the weekends if you can find a spot.

This hotel is located just outside DC area, costs around $10-15 per Uber ride to reach DC but there is also a nearby Metro station that you can use if you prefer (10 minutes walking distance). I really liked the wraps offered for breakfast at the hotel restaurant; very tasty. Overall breakfast is on the pricier side though. So is overnight parking ($32 per night). However, rooms are big (way bigger than our hotel in NYC), beds are so comfy, and staff is mostly friendly. Good option when choosing... Read more

Only minutes away from Reagan Airport, this hotel offers an airport shuttle, but it's also just a couple of minutes away by Metro. The Metro station can be accessed from this hotel by walking about a block behind it and across the street, or you can walk next door to the Marriott and go through the underground shops to get to it. This is a very convenient way to get to the station to go into DC or when coming back at night. It's very safe. Also, there are several restaurants in the shops, a Dunk... Read more

I was recently at a conference hosted at the Westin. Very friendly staff and great place to hold a conference. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Lots of room actually. Group rate was amazing for this hotel I thought. Location was convenient. I ate dinner at the hotel a few nights and the food was very good, interesting choices, not your usual. Not ridiculously expensive considering this is a big hotel right outside of Washington, D.C. A quick walk to Crystal City Mall/Shopping. Very n... Read more

And based on my previous experiences I love the Westin concept. The Westin Crystal City hotel had it all. An excellent service understanding my needs. A happy, smiling, fast and helpful check-in giving essential information. A nice, quiet room and excellent bed with cozy bedlinen. All necessary equipment available. Typical Westin with a great bed, and quiet room very near Reagan airport. Nothing extraordinary... The two things i noticed were more 'service' issues. First, at check in....the agent took THREE PHONE CALLS while attending to registering me as a guest. REALLY? This is a practice that really disturbs me from a customer service standpoint. When you check someone in...you should give them your attention, and get them to their room. You should NOT answer the phone, let alone do it 3 times. ... Read more

Just outside of DC, near DCA is the Westin Crystal City. Shuttles available from the airport that run every 30 minutes at baggage claim door 9. Call when you land and they'll let you know when the shuttle will be back around. May want to take a taxi if you've missed it. Hotel is clean, comfortable, and has a good bar and restaurant. Walking distance to the Metro and great options for other restaurants as well.

This review and 5 star rating is not because the Westin Crystal City is perfect. As with many hotels there are good and bad. There are things that affect people's experience that are actually not within reasonable control of the property. The hotel is located barely a block from the Crystal City Metro Station. Very convenient. Parking is over $30 a day. Not so good but there is very little parking available in the area. The Hotel had made a reservation error and I was not happy at all. I had... Read more

The fitness center is on the 15th floor. One can look out and see the sun rise over the hills across the Potomac River. Its location is perfect, a short walk to the metro. The menu is pricey. Without the knowledge of the area one is trapped eating overpriced food.

The Weston Crystal City hotel stay was great getaway for our two day stay. The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the decor and the way the room was designed The location was close to all the sights and close to DCA. The staff exceeded our expectations in every way,We had trouble signing in to the internet and a wonderful staff member came to the room and helped us sign in. We will be back soon.

As a Platinum SPG member and having stayed at this location (when it was the Sheraton) previously, This Westin is a newly renovated property. The rooms have been updated and have a modern feel. The lobby is similar to what used to be there but somehow feels more inviting. I really loved this location !! We had to fly out early due to bad weather so we only was here one night. It has an airport shuttle and is in the midst of several restaurants, not to mention that in order for the elevator to go up to your floor; you must enter your room key . I loved that extra security.

Stayed recently at the Westin for 1 night for business. The rooms are big and the bed was extremely comfortable!! The hotel has room service and the food is good but is pricey, as well the charge for room service delivery. The staff at the hotel is very nice and I was even allowed a late check out at 4pm for free!!! Which was amazing, since I did not need to leave the area until late afternoon. I would definitely stay in this hotel if I were in the area on another occasion.
