Hotels in Washington DC are very expensive. Thus, I was looking for hotels with reasonable price and near subway station. This hotel offers shuttle service to the subway station and not far from Washingto DC. This is business hotel, not family hotel. There is railroad and train station near the property, so it is a little bit noisy. The indoor swimming pool is really small. There are no shopping malls or drug stores within walking distance. However, the property is clean and well-maintained.

This hotel is in Crystal City, very near Reagan airport, an area filled with hotels for that reason. I attended a conference there so cannot judge the price/value. The hotel is sleek and comfortable, offers a shuttle every 20 min. to the nearest Metro stop for ready access to Washington DC, and I found that convenient. For conference/business travel the Renaissance is fine but I would never choose it for a trip to see Washington. Paying more for a DC hotel is worth it. Pros: comfortable room, a ... Read more

I have been bringing groups large and small to this hotel for years. They are meeting stuff is awesome. The guestrooms are great and the hotel is within minutes of Reagan national Airport. My attendees love the place as well. There are plenty of great eating places within walking distance.

Beautiful new hotel with wonderful facilities. Easy access to both DC and Arlington, though very little in walking distance. Lively bar and lobby, modern rooms, some with great views of DCA. Concierge Lounge and workout area, too.

Stayed here on business while in town for a government meeting. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel as I don't typically stay at Renaissance properties. The lobby is clean and modern. The front desk staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. And they even found an available room for me when I checked in at 11 AM! The room itself was modern and extremely clean. If time permits I recommend visiting the indoor pool, gym, and outdoor garden terrace area which are lovely amenities not offere... Read more

First I would like to say that I've stayed exclusively at Marriott hotels for the past 12 plus years and I've never had an experience like tonight. My husband surprised me with a surprise get away for the weekend and decided to try a different hotel for us. My favorite hotel to stay at when we visit is the Crystal Gateway. After having a beautiful day we headed back to the hotel. We'd previously eaten at a restaurant earlier that was also a surprise so I could try the world famous Maryland cra... Read more

Only good things to say about this hotel. I stayed only 1 night - the location is very convenient to go to DCA, and the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle. The room is amazing! Spacious, with new and modern furniture! Although the price be a little bit expensive, I highly recommend. Definitely would stay there again.

This hotel made it easy to get into and out of dc. We took ubers in most days. There is free parking right around the corner if you can find a spot. Rooms are really nice, they have a pool and they have a rooftop spot when it's nicer out. There is a coffee shop and a bar downstairs with fairly decent food also.

The hotel was nice, clean, in a great location. The only thing I thought to be crazy was you have to pay for wifi and parking daily and it was ridiculous! I won't go back to this location because of these fees. I was on the eight floor and the rooms aren't very sound proof you can hear everything outside the hotel on the street and in the hall.

I recently stayed at the Renaissance in Arlington over the Memorial day holiday. The room itself was nice. Mini fridge no microwave. When asking to use the microwave someone on the phone told me yes they have one at the front desk to be used. I come down the front desk says no we dont have one sorry...and referred me to the restaurant and I listened to one of the line cooks disertation on how he couldnt warm my food. Half way thru the disertation the same clerk that told me no came and hastily ... Read more

After sitting on the tarmac for five hours in a thunderstorm, United cancelled my flight. The helpful Global Services rep called the Hyatt Regency Crystal City and made me a reservation, which the Hyatt apparently could not find. Unable to check in, I walked across the street to the Renaissance Arlington, and things instantly began to look up. The amazingly helpful Evelyn was able to find me a room, and then she bent over backwards to get me settled in. I can hear some people asking, "how ama... Read more

Absolutely one of the friendliest and cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in! Beds were unbelievably comfortable and staff was exceptional. I travel at least 60 days a year and I teach business etiquette so I pay strict attention to detail wherever I stay. A definite 5 star rating!

This hotel is very sleek, modern and clean. I had booked a king sized room, but arrived before normal check in for a conference. The front desk staff did their best to accommodate me and get me into a room earlier so that I could change and prepare to go to my conference. I ended up in a double room on the fifth floor. Lots of great light from the large windows overlooking the airport. I ate in the hotel restaurant once and the food was above average. The bar staff was very friendly and I enjo... Read more

The hotel location is a bit far from the metro. The service from staff was good, very friendly and helpful. The internet costs money so that is a downfall. It is close to the airport so great access in and out of the city, good for conference, not the best for tourism.

We had a wonderful stay at the Renaissance Arlington. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to stay in Arlington, book into the Renaissance. BTW, when we were there, two Kings from Africa were staying there. If it is good for Kings, then it is good enough for us. :)

Stayed here for 3 nights, when I first arrived in airport and tried to call the hotel for shuttle service. The line was always busy so I had no choice but to wait in the airport for a while, glad the shuttle did come finally. Well, ok, then I went to check in, the staff was ok but not seems welcoming, that's fine too. Then things began to get worse, while I understand the hotel is near airport, I expected to hear the airplane and traffic noise occasionally, I could hear clearly my neighbors' tv... Read more

I was actually staying in a nearby hotel but the kitchen was still open here so me and a friend went to eat. Half way into my Quinoa burger (absolutely delicious) I bit down on something while chewing that did not belong in that burger(see photo). Felt like a rock or piece of iron from whatever they cooked it on. The waitress sincerely apologized took the plate right away, adjusted it off the bill and mentioned it to the manager(thank you and her service was great. Gave her almost a $20 tip) the... Read more

Loved this hotel ! Stayed for one night and I was very impressed ! Will be coming back ! Room was very clean and no matter what room they put you in both sides has a great view ! Work out room was great and the a la crate has great food and drinks. Only thing I would change is the rooms need trash bags for the cans.

The first thing you notice is how clean the room is, a very good impression. It is a good size and is fine for an overnight stay, especially if you have a flight from National Airport. There are two issues to be aware of. First, the hallways are really loud, which is pretty annoying. Second, there is no door to the sink side of the bathroom, so good luck trying to sleep when sharing the room. If you can put up with these annoyances it is a decent place to stay.

We visit Alexandria every year or two, but we had never stayed in Arlington. We got a great rate at the Renaissance Arlington, and we were very pleased with our room, the lobby, the restaurant, and the staff. The Renaissance is one of a whole long street of big hotels. The only downside was inadequate and expensive parking--the Renaissance shares an underground garage with the Residence Inn next door, and there just isn't enough parking for everyone, even if you've prepaid. There is a lot of spa... Read more

We had to go to DC for visas for South Africa. This hotel was 6 miles from the embassy and it was a very nice part of town. Very convenient. We ordered Jimmy Johns because the hotel restaurant was pricey. Parking is $29 a day regardless if you're staying there. Just be aware. Over all, it was a great hotel!

Stayed here one night after a late arrival into DCA. Overall, a stylish and comfortable hotel at a steal of a room rate. I took the shuttle from DCA, which arrived within a relatively reasonable time frame. I got on the last run of the shuttle (midnight); I never quite understand airport hotels without a 24 hour shuttle. Check-in was polite and easy. The hotel's lobby is modern with nice light. Good style extended to the guest room, which had modern decor, lots of plugs, good light, and lo... Read more
