Hotels in Washington DC are very expensive. Thus, I was looking for hotels with reasonable price and near subway station. This hotel offers shuttle service to the subway station and not far from Washingto DC. This is business hotel, not family hotel. There is railroad and train station near the property, so it is a little bit noisy. The indoor swimming pool is really small. There are no shopping malls or drug stores within walking distance. However, the property is clean and well-maintained.

This hotel is in Crystal City, very near Reagan airport, an area filled with hotels for that reason. I attended a conference there so cannot judge the price/value. The hotel is sleek and comfortable, offers a shuttle every 20 min. to the nearest Metro stop for ready access to Washington DC, and I found that convenient. For conference/business travel the Renaissance is fine but I would never choose it for a trip to see Washington. Paying more for a DC hotel is worth it. Pros: comfortable room, a ... Read more

Stayed here on business while in town for a government meeting. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel as I don't typically stay at Renaissance properties. The lobby is clean and modern. The front desk staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. And they even found an available room for me when I checked in at 11 AM! The room itself was modern and extremely clean. If time permits I recommend visiting the indoor pool, gym, and outdoor garden terrace area which are lovely amenities not offere... Read more

First I would like to say that I've stayed exclusively at Marriott hotels for the past 12 plus years and I've never had an experience like tonight. My husband surprised me with a surprise get away for the weekend and decided to try a different hotel for us. My favorite hotel to stay at when we visit is the Crystal Gateway. After having a beautiful day we headed back to the hotel. We'd previously eaten at a restaurant earlier that was also a surprise so I could try the world famous Maryland cra... Read more

Only good things to say about this hotel. I stayed only 1 night - the location is very convenient to go to DCA, and the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle. The room is amazing! Spacious, with new and modern furniture! Although the price be a little bit expensive, I highly recommend. Definitely would stay there again.

This hotel made it easy to get into and out of dc. We took ubers in most days. There is free parking right around the corner if you can find a spot. Rooms are really nice, they have a pool and they have a rooftop spot when it's nicer out. There is a coffee shop and a bar downstairs with fairly decent food also.

The hotel was nice, clean, in a great location. The only thing I thought to be crazy was you have to pay for wifi and parking daily and it was ridiculous! I won't go back to this location because of these fees. I was on the eight floor and the rooms aren't very sound proof you can hear everything outside the hotel on the street and in the hall.

The helpful Global Services rep called the Hyatt Regency Crystal City and made me a reservation, which the Hyatt apparently could not find. We had a wonderful stay at the Renaissance Arlington. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to stay in Arlington, book into the Renaissance. BTW, when we were there, two Kings from Africa were staying there. The first thing you notice is how clean the room is, a very good impression. It is a good size and is fine for an overnight stay, especially if you have a flight from National Airport. There are two issues to be aware of. First, the hallways are really loud, which is pretty annoying. Second, there is no door to the sink side of the bathroom, so good luck trying to sleep when sharing the room. If you can put up with these annoyances it is a decent place to stay.

We visit Alexandria every year or two, but we had never stayed in Arlington. We got a great rate at the Renaissance Arlington, and we were very pleased with our room, the lobby, the restaurant, and the staff. The Renaissance is one of a whole long street of big hotels. The only downside was inadequate and expensive parking--the Renaissance shares an underground garage with the Residence Inn next door, and there just isn't enough parking for everyone, even if you've prepaid. The breakfast in the lounge was well stocked and maintained even for a slower morning. The hotel is very close to the airport, close to DC and Alexandria. There are restaurants about a 10... This has been my third year staying at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View for a conference. And it was even better this year! Pedro provided excellent assistance from check in to check out. The staff was friendly, the bar area was modern and offered a range of wines and cocktails. The hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants (Legal Seafoods, Ted's Montana Grill, etc.) and is a 10-15 minute walk from the Crystal City Metro stop. I recommend this for business travelers especia... Read more

Unique urban oasis among many office buildings adjacent to Crystal City, this is a real gem! Trendy vibrant lobby, on-site Illy coffee, lovely decor and views, and a terrace off the fitness center pool, with a balcony above the city is the perfect place to unwind before and after hectic meetings or simply enjoy!

I was there for a conference -- the rooms were relatively quiet, and kept very clean (kudos to housekeeping). Food services and bar were excellent. Very convenient to Crystal City and a walk to Pentagon City. The fitness center equipment was well maintained. And the shuttle was convenient either to the Metro or to the airport. I would stay there again for a future business or personal trip.

We stayed there for two nights and could not be more pleased. The hotel is situated in Arlington ten minutes walk to the metro station, but the hotel offers a shuttle to and from the station. Modern and very well appointed it is definitely an excellent option when visiting the Capital. There are many restaurants in the área and a small supermarket at the metro station.

I normally stay at the Hilton hotel at DCA but thought I would try here - wow, very nice. Shuttle driver from airport was awesome - I think her name was Tiffany - check in was easy with friendly employees and room was very nice. There was a train across the street but it did not wake me. The one thing wrong with the room was the Ac panel is so bright at night it looks like the moon in the room - I covered it with a towel but bad design flaw! Other than that everything was great and I am glad I c... Read more

As most know, the Renaissance brand is a good one. I enjoyed staying here for a recent conference right across the street. Rooms are great and the staff was very welcoming. Only about a 10 minute Uber to downtown.

I stayed here for a conference for 4 days. I chose the option of not having my room serviced and get bonus points. It made me feel more at home. I got fresh towels and toiletries at my request. The room was clean and quiet. When I checked in my room choice was only available in a handicapped version. I got to the room and realized that it was not acceptable and was given the option of a higher floor and double beds with a great view. The food at the conference was good and fresh. Overall good ex... Read more

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Renaissance in Arlington. The lobby to the hotel is beautifully designed and very open. The staff at the front desk were all very welcoming and we're always trying to go out of their way to help. My room was quite large and had a very cool view of National Airport and DC. My room was very well mantained and was spotless. Quick Bites was good and very fast. The hotel offers a shuttle to both Reagan National Airport and the Crystal City metro. It ru... Read more

This Marriott brand is upscale and I like it...a lot! We stayed at this hotel about a year ago, also for a getaway weekend. Again, the stay was GREAT! Couldn't have picked a better fall weekend to get away, as it was in the upper 70's all weekend. Gorgeous! The mattresses at the Renaissance are to die for. The bathroom and Aveda products were very nice. We did not eat at this hotel though the restaurant/bar seemed nice and stayed pretty busy all weekend. We love this hotel! Couple of d... Read more

This is a very good hotel. The lobby is smallish but attractive and opens into a spacious restaurant/bar. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The view from my room on the 10th floor was also quite good. Everything worked well here. This is a Marriott property and they treat their Gold members very well. They provide a club room with a great view and also snacks and a decent breakfast. They also provide their members free WiFi, which was quite fast (no need to upgrade). The air-conditio... Read more

I found this to be of the caliber that I expected as a Marriott Gold member. The staff was most friendly as were the Airport and Metro Shuttle drivers. Nice comfortable room with access to the 14th floor executive lounge made for a pleasant stay I would highly recommend this Hotel!

This hotel is fairly standard within the Marriott brand. It is well maintained, clean and comfortable. I had a nice sunny room overlooking Reagan National. My room was fresh, clean and comfortable. The concierge lounge was above average and really enjoyed the desserts. The food throughout the complex was very good. The large workout area had the usual equipment but everything worked. My only complaint here was that they kept it too warm. The location is a bit far south but still the wa... Read more

This hotel is solid. It's clean, it's in a decent spot, and the staff is more than often very helpful. This hotel probably has one of the best gyms I've ever seen in a hotel. I'm not sure if it's because it's connected to a Residence Inn, but it's great nonetheless. There's also a laundry room, most likely because of the connection. The beds are always so comfortable and the showers have pressure and hot water. I look forward to this hotel every time I visit, and if you plan on visiting the D.C.... Read more

Where to start? Reservation says free internet but come to find out thats only in the lobby. Club Room? Dont bother. 0 benefits.. no club access like other hotels. Laundry facility? Where is it? Oh yea its in the gym. To bad there are 0 signs on where its located. This is one of the worst hotel experiences I have had.

This hotel lives up to its reputation with nice rooms and luxury line toiletries (Aveda). On cold nights, treat yourself to some hot apple cider. There is a shuttle from Reagan AIrport so you can leave your car there in the Economy lot for $17 per day instead of parking at the hotel which cost much more. I noticed that there are bicycles for guests use but am not sure if they are complimentary. From the hotel, it's about 5-8 minutes walk to McDonald's, and 15 minutes walk to a restaurant area....
