I won't get into every, single detail as I did that with the survey the hotel had me fill out, but bottom line is I would not stay at this hotel again. My husband and I were told we would receive parking credit and SPG points for being put in an extremely small room compared to all other rooms during our weekend stay for my graduation at GWU. Upon checkout the manager, Doug Osbourne told us that their computer system was down and they could not print out our invoice. He assured us that the parki... Read more

The hotel was very contemporary. The room was nice and clean. It was a bit small, but sufficient. The refrigerator did not work; however, we did not ask for a replacement. I liked the fact that if you chose not to have housekeeping come to your room, a donation would be made to "Shatter proof"--an addiction support resource. The restaurant had good food. I enjoyed the outdoor sitting area. The staff was very accommodating and professional. The location was wonderful. Right outside of th... Read more

The rooms are very nice and spacious, which is rare in this area. But this place doesn't really feel or look like a hotel. I think it was a time share which was converted to a hotel. The lobby is non-existent, on the ground floor anyways. It's usually unmanned on the ground floor. You need to go to the 4th floor, which contains the reception desk. I have mixed feelings about this place as you can see. The rooms are clean, nice and spacious, but this place just doesn't seem like a hotel. Quite va... Read more

Room was nice, not sure why there was an elliptical in there... There was a sock partially underneath that should have been picked up by housekeeping but i called the front desk and they quickly sent someone up to take care of it. One lamp was broken at the top and so the bulb was leaning against the back of the lampshade and causing burn marks. I let the front desk know about this when I checked out the next morning. I booked two meeting spaces at the hotel and both were great rooms. Only ... Read more

The hotel is fine and if you get the right room you will have a very nice view of the river and DC area. However, not much activities around the hotel and you will need a Taxi to go to other areas in DC.

Upon arrival, the front desk personnel was enduring a verbal lashing from a customer who booked through a third party but the third party wasn't releasing payment to the hotel - thus it's the hotels fault?? At any rate, the team on duty was professional, courteous and diplomatic. Once it was my turn to check in, I was thanked for my patience and upgraded to a jacuzzi suite - which was clean and comfortable. The room service delivered promptly. The food exceeded expectations, and the nice l... Read more

When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was how formally dressed most of the other guests were. We were only doing a quick getaway and were in 'extreme casual' mode i.e. Jean shorts, t-shirts, sneakers. Adeel at the front desk made us feel comfortable immediately and although our room wasn't ready he showed to the restaurant where we were allowed to eat our take out (normally not allowed). During our meal he brought us our keys and when we went to get our luggage he informed us that they wer... Read more

I have stayed in many hotels around the DMV area , and I'm not quite sure how I missed this beauty. When you arrive you must enter the elevator and check in on the 4th floor, that was a little weird to me and dangerous.Overall I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat.

It's great location if you are in the DC area. You can easily walk to Georgetown from the hotel, and just up the street is the Rosslyn metro station and the bust stop for he DC circulator bus that gets you to DC for $1. My less than stellar rating of the hotel has to do with a lack of recognition of my status with the Starwood Preferred Guest program. as a platinum member, I was expecting a room with a better view which is what I'm usually provided at other Starwood hotels (Westin, Sheraton, W)... This a good hotel if you are in the area for business which is, I believe, their primary clientele. In any case, the hotel is close to a Metro station and across the bridge from Georgetown. The front desk service is excellent (if possible, ask for a river facing room). The rooms don't have coffee makers so you have to go down to the lobby for coffee in the morning. It has a restaurant on site which is good since there are not many places in the area to eat. The rooms are very comfortable and cle... Read more

The "Le Meridien" name is not a standard of the hotel you'll get. We were sorely disappointed with this hotel but were told by our driver that Le Meridien" took over the previous hotel at that location. The amenities were few. The food stale. The common areas small and dark. We had one king room and I with two singles. We opted for outside downtown DC but that was a mistake-the views were underwhelming on all four sides of this hotel. There was nothing in walking distance which was ok as we hire... Read more

In general, the Le Meridien Arlington is a nice hotel: had a huge room with a large bathroom, and even an elliptical trainer in the room. The location is perfect: although not exactly in the city center, but everything (Georgetown or The Mall) are quite close. My major complaint was, however, that our group occupying 10+ rooms had to learn at check-in that we do not have a room for the last night... So how does that happen? We reserved the rooms, provided the credit card numbers, and then we are... Read more

In town for a work meeting. The room was booked by the meeting organizer as the meeting was at the hotel. I flew into DCA and used the Metro. Unfortunately the blue line was closed and had to take the yellow line into DC and then switch to the orange line to get back to Rosslyn station. The metro station is about 2 blocks from the hotel and was nice for getting around. This is our third visit in about as many years and it is sad to see that such a newer property is getting worse after each stay. The attention to detail is lacking. The attention to cleanliness in the room is to be desired. Both of which would explain the steady decline. Only the front desk staff seems to be consistent since our last stay. Consistently disinterested. The manager chats loudly with her staff while guests are checking in. The room key is handed over while the receptionist is on the... Read more

Great check-in (and chat) at the front desk with super-friendly and extremely accommodating staff member (I'd inadvertently booked a king room and needed two queens). After reading mixed reviews of this hotel I was pleasantly surprised. We liked the decor, the staff was plentiful and attentive. In the near future they will have bikes to checkout which would be a bonus. The only downside was the bathroom. The shower lacked pressure and needed to be grouted plus the water got all over the floor. Our room was small but very clean and nicely decorated. Upscale hotel in Arlington, Le Meridian is close to central business district. Large comfortable rooms, nice fitness center, friendly and responsive staff. So if Le Meridien is supposed to be an elite Starwood brand, why is this hotel among the bottom tier in Arlington, Va? That's easily explained by the awful service culture displayed by the hotel's top management. Gave this place another chance after a horrendous experience a year ago, but Calvin, the current manager-of-the-month, seems determined to maintain the standards of an EconoLodge.
