DC was fully booked so we ended up here on a quick 4 day trip from Mexico. All in all the stay was fine - of course this is not a luxury place nor is it advertised as one. So with this in mind: GOOD: - room was always clean - microwave and fridge - coffee machine (horrible coffee though) - amenities were fine - front desk personnel very nice and helpful - parking just outside the door (you must have a car if you stay here) - centrally located to restaurants, shopping and of course to DC BAD... We thought the place was decent for the money. It was less expensive than staying in DC with free parking. It is located right across the street from the bus stop to the metro. We took the bus and metro into the city every day. The hotel is old and our floor must have already been done during our stay. Our room was clean and bathroom looked liked it had been recently redone. However, the shower water was backwards. Hot was cold and cold was hot. But this isn't the first hotel we have had... We went to Arlington to bury my husband's ashes at Arlington National Cemetery , we got there and was starving asked about a good place to eat they were very well informed at the hotel , we ended up at the Silver Diner the food was really good. We went back to the motel I had to have a room on the bottom floor I can't climb steps , and my girlfriend and my son were with me so we needed two rooms together , and they were able to provide that , and the price was right I believe they had just refu... My son and I stayed here for one night as we looked at nearby colleges. The price was reasonable so we tried it out. The receptionist was very friendly which was nice and the place is near grocery stores, restaurants and a CVS so that was good but you get what you pay for. It looked like they cut many corners when decorating which isn't a bad thing but it makes you wonder where else they cut corners. Beyond that though I was grateful to find a reasonable and safe hotel near Georgetown and ot... Read more
