In a city that everything is expensive and noisy (to anyone who doesn't live in a city) this place was worth what I spent for two nights. This is very close to the airport so a lot of airline employees use this location, so you know its nice and its safe. Had a restaurant downstairs and other eateries within walking distance. Beds were comfortable and it was very clean. Being so close to the airport you would have thought it would be loud but it wasn't. Know that they will charge you for parking... Read more

The room was clean and well-kept. Other than late service one day and a bathroom fan that sounded like a jet engine, there was nothing remarkable. The reception staff was friendly and helpful and the shuttle service was on-time the 3 times I utilized it. The included breakfast was nice but plain. The wireless internet was very good. All in all, about what I've come to expect from a Holiday Inn stay.

There is no honest "welcome" from the staff, no one smile. Everyone we saw seems to be there because no other work was available. Rooms are dark and worn. Shuttle to DCA was on time. Overall impression: an unfriendly spot.

This was a good location due to proximity to airport but not within walking distance of any restaurant besides in the hotel and McDonalds. The weather was raining the night we were there so was limited. We waited at the airport 45 minutes for a pickup and had called hotel 4 times...each time they said the driver was on the way. The person answering the phone could not communicate very well in English and I think that was a lot of the problem. It is too far to walk to Metro but they did provi... Read more

The Holiday Inn worked well for a few days spent in DC. The price was great, and we were able to easily walk to a metro station and get to the attractions in the area. The room was quiet and well kept, and we had no issues during our stay. There definitely wasn't a ton to do right near the hotel, but I think that helped with the price. Nothing stood out as spectacular here, but it suited our needs perfectly.

There are things missing such as no microwave and no mini fridge in the rooms, and no TV in the fitness room if you are using weights (only TVs are on the cardio). But they have excellent service, the rooms are comfortable and stylish, the location and proximity to the airport is great and they have a free airport shuttle. So considering the price at the other hotels nearby, this is a good value.

I stayed at this hotel while traveling for business. I found my room to be small, in need of some TLC, and dark. Still, the location was perfect for me and the parking (self) was easy though pricey. I found the front desk to either be a) understaffed or b) not very interested in being helpful. They were terse, short, and conversations often felt rushed. I'm not sure if it was because they were exceptionally busy that day (I was the only person at the desk when I came up) or just had a lot of ... Read more

My family moved to this hotel after four nights at the Sheraton in Pentagon City while my spouse was home on military leave. It was much more affordable and a better fit for us as a young family. There were more things within walking distance and it was one of the cheaper hotels in terms of parking fees. This hotel is clean and comfortable. We preferred it to the other hotel during our visit.

Room was clean although smelled like mildew. The customer service on the front desk was extremely rude and uninterested in their customers. They would not offer assistance with directions, etc. They assumed you knew where you were going. My family was in town for a Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund event. We extended our weekend in order to spend some time exploring the DC area. Rooms were good size, clean and quiet. Beds very comfortable. Hotel staff very professional at all times. We appreciated the shuttle service which was available on call. The hotel is conveniently located to mass transit, restaurants and area attractions. I would not hesitate to return to this Holiday Inn.

The only nice thing in the hotel is the front office staff, poor guys, they try to help as much as they can, but unfortunately the state of the hotel is so poor that nothing can be really done. The rooms are in a very bad shape, the ventilation is unbearably loud, the AC too. The smell is very bad and the tubs are damaged. not mentioning that the staff move the garbage in the main elevators with the clients, and they touch the buttons with their hands while they are handling the garbage, which i... Stayed here for one night before leaving on a flight through DCA. The hotel has some construction going on, but that didn't bother my stay. The room itself was usual Holiday Inn. The bed was comfortable, things were clean, and the shower was hot. The hotel has many restaurants within very close walking distance of all types. The hotel offers a shuttle to the airport every 15 minutes. The driver was pleasant and put a smile on my face to start the day.

Got stuck in DC on a layover, called around and this place had the best price of all the hotels with airport shuttles. Shuttle ride was quick, Check in was super fast, hotel in general was pleasing. The rooms were spacious, clean, quiet, and the morning shuttle was just as quick and convenient back to the airport. Company picked up the bill so can't speak on affordability. The restraunt they had on site was slow, they advertised that kids eat free with a purchase of a regular meal from the menu but when we got the check they wouldn't accept the kids eat free because we needed a coupon but no where in the details explained anything about a coupon.
