My husband and I wanted to visit DC for the first time and invited my in-laws to join us. They advised staying in Alexandria because they fell in love with it 10 years earlier. The location was right off of the famous King St., a short walk from the Metro and several restaurants and grocery store. Hop on the free trolley right outside the property to several miles of dining and shops ending at the Patomac. Visit the church and restaurant frequented by George and Martha Washington. There's a farm... Read more

My husband, adult son and I stayed 4 nights in a 2 BR unit while vacationing in the D.C. area. Location is perfect! King Street metro station is across the street. We will return and next time we will fly. It's an easy metro ride from the airport to the resort, and a car is not needed!

We had a wonderful, clean room in a fantastic location. We were able to park the car and leave it in the garage the whole trip! We read complaints about noise from the subway at night, but we didn't hear any noise from the subway at all and we were on the same side.

We stayed here because I am a Wyndham owner. It is very difficult to find the place to turn in so we ended up at the Hilton and he sent us through to the parking lot. Got up to the lobby and one of our 2 rooms had been cancelled. Have no idea how because I had just talked to them a couple of weeks earlier about our 2 rooms being close together because of children in both rooms. We got a room finally but on a different floor. I was aware that the rooms did not have their own washer/dryer whi... Read more

We felt right at home at this Wyndham Resort. My husband & I and our granddaughter & her fiance' had a wonderful D.C. experience with this beautiful resort as our anchor. We had a two bedroom condo which was very clean & offered all the comforts of home. The entire staff was very professional and friendly. We were warmly welcomed & our luggage stored until check-in time. The concierge was extremely knowledgeable & assisted us with all of our inquiries to make our tours & side trips as eff... Read more

We had a 3 bedroom presidential this time. There are only 2 of these rooms at the resort so it is unlikely that unless you are an owner you can get one but very very nice. The staff is very professional and always speak to you when encountering you in the hallways. I arrived not feeling well and before check in time and I feel they tried their best to get me into my room as early as possible. Really super front desk. Thank you Wyndham Old Towne Alexandria

Convenient location close to Metro... Service great!!! Bring ear plugs and clips for the curtains. Train is REALLY loud in room. Not your typical Wyndham Resort. Lemonade night, wine night and desert night were like the sample counter at a supermarket. Wifi connection was horrible....

We are owners with the Wyndham time share but they do have some limited rentals here through rental companies. We stayed in a 2 bedroom which had a full kitchen and 2 full baths. Plenty of room to stretch out. No laundry in the room but there is laundry on site that you can use for free. Across the street from King Street so very convenient for transportation. Free trolley stop just across the street. Many restaurants in walking distance. Great overall stay and nice touches such as movies ... Read more

We just returned from a family vacation in DC. We stayed at the Wyndham Old Town. It was all that we hoped for and more. Plenty of room. It was a 2 bedroom deluxe. There was a kitchen, living room, dinning area. Slept 7 people. Two full baths. It was comfortable, affordable and a 2 minute walk (if even) to the King Street Metro. I parked my car when we arrived and didn't touch it until we left. It was absolutely perfect. Great location. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Only bummer was n... Read more

We are Wyndham owners. This was a great location for exploring the D.C. area. The BEST thing about this resort is it's location to the Metro. The worst thing about D.C. is trying to drive into town and find a place to park!!! This resort solves that problem with it's next door location to the King St. Metro station. The rooms are nice enough. We stayed in the 3 BR. There are several restaurants in close walking distance from this location, and the King Street Trolley stops very close. The Trolle... Read more

Great place to stay in the DC area. Friendly, responsive team. Close to Metro and Amtrak (5 min. walk), so you can actually get here and enjoy the area without a vehicle. Free Trolley in Old Town very convenient. Whole foods very short walk. Rooms are decent size and comfortable. Kitchens vary by unit size, but are decently equipped. WiFi is typical sketchy Wyndham in room, but better in the atrium. Resort is well kept. A lot of afternoons there is some sort of food related treat social. ... Read more

Wyndham Alexandria is on the METRO track, so traveling back and forth to DC is easy and no traffic/parking problems. Eligent accommodation with partial kitchen, laundry and activities every day you stay in Alexandria. Free Troll to downtown and water edge right out front Wyndham.

The Wyndham is right across the street from the Metro. Very easy to make home base and great restaurants in Old Town at the end of the day. Also liked that Whole Foods was 2 blocks away. The room was big enough to spread out a little, even with 2 grown kids.

This was my second time staying here in the past two years and I have already made a reservation for next summer. That says it all. You cannot beat the location. The hotel is one block from the Old Town metro station. It is only two stops from National Airport and a ten minute ride into DC. It is also on the free trolley stop. The rooms were comfortable and the property is kept very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. My one complaint is that this hotel tends to run out of supplies quick... Read more

We stayed here on our honeymoon trip. The location is absolutely perfect. You can walk to the metro in about 30 seconds and get to any tourist location in the DC area. There are some decent restaurants in Alexandria if you want to eat nearer to the hotel in the evenings...but really the best food is in DC of course! Just make sure you make reservations the day before! Restaurants in DC are always booked. There is no room service here, but in the mornings one of us walked across to Dunkin Donuts... Read more

I've stayed in a lot of Wyndham properties over the last few years, and they are generally very nice, upscale and attractive. Not so much with Wyndham Old Town Alexandria. I found the room to be a bit, well, just worn. It was a decent suite, and the location could not be beat, but I've come to expect more from Wyndham. The carpet was torn and frayed in a couple of places, and the mattress on the bed was frankly uncomfortable. The property itself had just gone through a, well, a disaster. I... Read more

We arrived at the Wyndham and were told they were experiencing plumbing problems and they put us up at the Hilton next door. I didn't get a chance to stay at the Wyndham but the staff was very polite, considerate and immediately got us in other accomodations in the area we needed to stay in.

There are things that I really love about this Wyndham: the location, the layout of the suite, 2 TV's even in a single, and the quiet side (facing away from the trains), the proximity to the DC Metro and being on King Street. That being said, they do need a little improvement, though it won't stop us from coming back again. As great of a place as I think it is, the mattresses could use some improvement, and toilet plumbing could use an overhaul. Another oddity this time around is the lack of pub... Read more

I have been a Wyndham timeshare owner for almost 10 years now. I visit 5+ resorts a year and I now have a new favorite! The resort is beautiful, very classy. The units are complete with everything I expect to have (Wyndham spoils you). It's the location that really knocked my sox off. Steps from the Metro with a Starbucks in between. A beautiful high-end grocery store just 2 blocks away. I can't wait to go back!!!!!

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I still avoid the people that want to give me an owner update; had a very bad experience at a different location but the person kept asking when I would like to schedule a meeting and didnā??t get it when I told them several times that I donā??t have time on this trip. I was here to enjoy the area and not spend time talking about the timeshare program. The room was comfortable, but the building apparent is having some mechanical problems with the water... Read more

We stayed here a week or so ago with friends. This is a GORGEOUS place to stay in Old Town Alexandria. Walking distance to several good restaurants and shops...Across the street from the King Street Metro, taxi's, buses and Old Town Trolley is even available to get where you want to go. A short Metro ride into DC and museums and a couple of miles down to the Potomac where you can board the Dandy for a cruise. The Wyndham has a beautiful lobby with very efficient and friendly staff.
