We stayed here to do some sightseeing in the DC area. It is close to the Eisenhower metro stop, and offers a free shuttle to pick up/ drop off. Parking is free....big+++. The room was very modern and clean. No complaints. It also has a coffee maker, small refrig, and a microwave. It has a free buffet breakfast, in a roomy, well lit breakfast area. I really donâ??t like this type of hotel, they seem more like motels; I guess that most outfits would refer to this type of establishment as an â??Inn". I would typically never stay at one except that we were here as part of a group for my sonâ??s school trip to Washington, DC. This one seemed newer and cleaner, and the bed was slightly better than most of this sort of Inn. My stay didn't start off good, but because of the swift actions of Christian and GM Cindy Rivas, my stay turned out to be wonderful and I was able to celebrate my son with my family. Thank you both! I'm sure we will be back.

I stayed at this hotel last week. It was very comfortable, clean and friendly staff. Had okay breakfast. Shuttle service was very convenient. We used it all the time to get to the Metro. Never had to wait long for the shuttle. Only complaint was that the shuttle operating hours on Sat and Sun are 8am to 8pm. Wish it was til 10pm.

Our family and a family friend traveled to view some sites in Washington D.C. , a total of 5 adults and 3 children. We booked 2 rooms, 1 for the family of 5 and the other for the remaining adults. The rooms and hotel were very spacious suites decorated in a contemporary, but 70ish decor, great job on making that work. I loved the colors. We stayed at that this hotel for five days in late April and enjoyed our stay. We ran into a problem when we called the shuttle from the Metro station in Huntington the first day. They sent the shuttle twice but they forgot to tells us the shuttle was shared with the Holiday Inn Express. The shuttle had both names on it but the Springhill Suites was only in small letters at the bottom and if you weren't looking for it you wouldn't notice it. Staying for the busy Memorial Day weekend. What a helpful and informative desk agent...CHRISTIAN. He helped us with a complicated check in and remembered small details. He was delightful, hoping there is one of him in every hotel I stay in.

We stayed here for nearly a week during a family vacation to DC. This was the most reasonable Marriott property (i.e. Like 1-2 the price of staying closer to the city) with access to the Metro. It is right near the Huntington stop, which is the last stop in the Yellow Line. Pros: The hotel itself is great for the price, considering all it offers. Free parking. Free hot breakfast. Ok, I enjoyed the fact the hotel was 5 mins from Walmart, Friday's & more restaurant, shopping center, 7 miles from metro train, Tanger outlets 8 miles. The hotel shuttle was great dropping and picking us up from Huntington station.. But the two things I did not like was the poor choice for breakfast & the pool does not open until 5pm!!đ??ˇ Why would a hotel not open a pool up earlier then 5pm? I conducted a 2 day meeting in the Hotel and stayed one night in the rooms. Loved the room. Big, clean, comfortable, and quiet! All important features in my book. The meeting rooms are downstairs and as such WiFi is rather weak for your phones etc. No issue in the rest of the hotel. Very clean hotel inside and out by the way. Nice clean rooms with space! Too bad the beds were so hard! Staff was ice and helpful and location was convenient. Breakfast was good - eggs and breakfast meat, oatmeal and various cereals and breads. Laundry facilities had 1/2 of the machines broken. Made doing laundry with other travelers difficult at best.

Our room was spacious, clean, well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was lovely! Even the choice of convenience foods was terrific. A great place to stay and very close to the family we were visiting.

We had a horrible experience with the clerk at the Springhill Suites Alexandria. I made the reservation onmy Marriott app and received a confirmation number. When we went to check in the clerk told me he had no rooms available to accommodate our stay. He said you cannot rely on the Marriott application because it supposedly doesnt keep up with the reservations.
