Stayed here for a couple of nights between a concert at the Birchmere -- several miles away and a funeral at Arlington Cemetery. The hotel is in a complex of business buildings and a Courtyard. Parking is free and convenient. Spring Hill Suites should more properly be called large rooms with dividers. My suite was outfitted with a comfy king bed, and a living area with a work desk and sofa (not a sleeper). There is a small refrig and microwave. The room was very clean and ample electrical plugs... Springhill Suites has been one of my favorite when traveling with my sons basketball team and or Girl Scouts. This property was hidden within a office looking complex and a little confusing to locate. On arrival Erica was very professional and courteous. The lobby was new and clean. The patio off the lobby was a nice touch, thought the view was of the highway. The rooms had sliding doors to the bathroom. The shower area was separate from the toilets (which had a small....very small sink). ... Read more

WE just spent the weekend there for a family birthday. I found it more the adequate. Just enough of everything you need, bear bones but very comfortable. Best sleep I've gotten in weeks. Bed and linens fresh including comforter. I was very pleasantly surprised as I was expecting "cheap" Full of children, i.e. soccer kids, baseball teams ect, but that was to be expected due to the price and the breakfast included. I'd go back in a minute...great for the price. Each room can sleep 4. Theres a p... Read more

This hotel was selected because of its proximity to D.C. so we could attend a graduation ceremony. It is a lovely property, very well maintained. The mini-suite we occupied, as well as the ones occupied by others in our party were well kept, clean and very well organized. Each suite has a refrigerator and microwave oven. There is a separate lavatory room and shower room in each suite. The beds are comfortable. The AC/Heating unit works well. The T.V. which is situated in the area between ... Read more

This is a basic Spring Hill suites. Breakfast and rooms are decent. Hotel shuttle is available but not very flexible in destination choices. Hotel is kind of in the middle of no where on Eisenhower Ave and there is nothing close by without driving. Hotel does offer free parking but there were wheels stolen off one family's vehicle while it was parked in lot. So be aware of that when parking your car. Very limited number of garage spots available, though the garage is not access controlled so... Read more

5 stars in every category. If you don't have a car, you will be using Uber or a taxi to and from the Eisenhower Ave. Metro station on the Yellow Line. The Uber is about $8 one way. The woman, Wilfida, who takes care of the breakfast area is always polite and has a smile on her face. Definitely a good value for any visit to Washington or Alexandria.

It was a great clean and airy modern hotel. There was plenty of space in the room for our family of four. Never had to wait for the shuttles to the metro and it was easy to get to Washington dc. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel and rooms are nice. But being about a mile from the metro puts you at the mercy of their shuttle service. Sometimes you wait one minute for the shuttle. Other times it's 30-40 minutes. Pay the extra money and stay in Alexandria closer to a metro

Funky euro style hotel. Room was a bit small for a "suite" but it met our needs with a sleep sofa. Interesting set up with bath in one room and toilet in another. Quiet. Breakfast was good with eggs etc. however get breakfast early, the line gets long and they don't seem to know how to replenish fast enough. Shuttle service brings you to Metro and Old Town. but ends at 10:30. but it's only a mile walk from metro if you get in late. I would stay there again.

Before we booked our trip to DC, we researched many hotels. It's hard to know where to stay and what is a safe area...We were very happy with this one. Easy access to Alexandria & DC via the Eisenhower metro station, which is about a mile down the road & has free parking on weekends. The hotel has a free shuttle that will take you & pick you up. Stayed one night at this property. The rooms are very clean, comfortable beds, efficient setup. Free breakfast was nice and a plus. This hotel is not without its quirks. Parking is at a premium and very difficult in the evening. The parking garage under the hotel has VERY narrow spots, and you need to find a staff member with access to get into the overflow garage in the evening. This hotel does offer free parking which is a rarity in the DC area. Rooms were nice and spacious but they did carpet cleaning while we were there which left the carpets damp for about 12-14 hours and made the tile floors slick. We (with my wife and 7 year old) visited here a year ago when in town for a family birthday, and we liked it so much we decided to stay here again for four nights. Relatively new. Very helpful staff. Large rooms. BUT odd-numbered rooms are painfully -- PAINFULLY -- noisy, because they face the Beltway and a Metro rail staging yard. Bottom line: you have to be a dead-sound sleeper to make it through the night without interruption, because those subway trains are banging and squealing and horn-blowing during all the times you'd like to be asleeo.
