We stayed here to do some sightseeing in the DC area. It is close to the Eisenhower metro stop, and offers a free shuttle to pick up/ drop off. Parking is free....big+++. The room was very modern and clean. No complaints. It also has a coffee maker, small refrig, and a microwave. It has a free buffet breakfast, in a roomy, well lit breakfast area. It is the "yellow" metro line....easy access to Old Alexandria, Reagan Airport, and DC mall sites. We stayed with free vouchers, but the rates I fou... Read more

I really donâ??t like this type of hotel, they seem more like motels; I guess that most outfits would refer to this type of establishment as an â??Inn". I would typically never stay at one except that we were here as part of a group for my sonâ??s school trip to Washington, DC. This one seemed newer and cleaner, and the bed was slightly better than most of this sort of Inn. The room had a small refrigerator and there was a little shop to buy bottled water (none given for free). Internet was ... Read more

My stay didn't start off good, but because of the swift actions of Christian and GM Cindy Rivas, my stay turned out to be wonderful and I was able to celebrate my son with my family. Thank you both! I'm sure we will be back.

I stayed at this hotel last week. It was very comfortable, clean and friendly staff. Had okay breakfast. Shuttle service was very convenient. We used it all the time to get to the Metro. Never had to wait long for the shuttle. Only complaint was that the shuttle operating hours on Sat and Sun are 8am to 8pm. Wish it was til 10pm.

Our family and a family friend traveled to view some sites in Washington D.C. , a total of 5 adults and 3 children. We booked 2 rooms, 1 for the family of 5 and the other for the remaining adults. The rooms and hotel were very spacious suites decorated in a contemporary, but 70ish decor, great job on making that work. I loved the colors. The space was used wisely in maximizing the livingroom and sleeping space with smaller space for the kitchenette and bathroom. Very clean. The breakfast was goo... Read more

We stayed at that this hotel for five days in late April and enjoyed our stay. We ran into a problem when we called the shuttle from the Metro station in Huntington the first day. They sent the shuttle twice but they forgot to tells us the shuttle was shared with the Holiday Inn Express. The shuttle had both names on it but the Springhill Suites was only in small letters at the bottom and if you weren't looking for it you wouldn't notice it. The front desk should have mentioned this fact when... Read more

Staying for the busy Memorial Day weekend. What a helpful and informative desk agent...CHRISTIAN. He helped us with a complicated check in and remembered small details. He was delightful, hoping there is one of him in every hotel I stay in.

We stayed here for nearly a week during a family vacation to DC. This was the most reasonable Marriott property (i.e. Like 1-2 the price of staying closer to the city) with access to the Metro. It is right near the Huntington stop, which is the last stop in the Yellow Line. Pros: The hotel itself is great for the price, considering all it offers. Free parking. Free hot breakfast. Free shuttle to and from the Metro. Staff are helpful. Micro and mini fridge in unit. Water dispenser. Computer w... Read more

Ok, I enjoyed the fact the hotel was 5 mins from Walmart, Friday's & more restaurant, shopping center, 7 miles from metro train, Tanger outlets 8 miles. The hotel shuttle was great dropping and picking us up from Huntington station.. But the two things I did not like was the poor choice for breakfast & the pool does not open until 5pm!!đ??ˇ Why would a hotel not open a pool up earlier then 5pm? I'm on vacation with kids and we can't go for a swim in the am and I couldn't get in the jacuzzi and ... Read more

I conducted a 2 day meeting in the Hotel and stayed one night in the rooms. Loved the room. Big, clean, comfortable, and quiet! All important features in my book. The meeting rooms are downstairs and as such WiFi is rather weak for your phones etc. No issue in the rest of the hotel. Very clean hotel inside and out by the way. Very pleased with the pricing of the rooms. Very fair in my book for the quality. Morning breakfast is included and the eating area is spotless! My one critique would be ... Read more

Nice clean rooms with space! Too bad the beds were so hard! Staff was ice and helpful and location was convenient. Breakfast was good - eggs and breakfast meat, oatmeal and various cereals and breads. Laundry facilities had 1/2 of the machines broken. Made doing laundry with other travelers difficult at best.

Our room was spacious, clean, well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was lovely! Even the choice of convenience foods was terrific. A great place to stay and very close to the family we were visiting.

We had a horrible experience with the clerk at the Springhill Suites Alexandria. I made the reservation onmy Marriott app and received a confirmation number. When we went to check in the clerk told me he had no rooms available to accommodate our stay. He said you cannot rely on the Marriott application because it supposedly doesnt keep up with the reservations. (A statement denied by the customer service support team memeber that I spoke to later that evening). He refused to cancel my reservatio... Read more

I stayed in this hotel August 19. The hotel is well maintained, well positioned, quiet and service is friendly and professional. Beds are comfortable and room clean and even though I was close to elevator there was no noise (soundproof is professional). When you put the address in GPS the map shows the Holiday Inn that is one block away. No to worry just follow up the directions and you will see the hotel. They offer a free breakfast as well, which is good. parking is free as well. I certainly r... Read more

I stayed in this hotel because the Gaylord convention center hotel was completely book and the Marriott recommended this hotel as the closer option available. I stayed 3 nights. Complementary breakfast was above average. The rooms were spacious, and my bed was comfortable. The hotel faces the Richmond highway and you can hear partially the street noise if you stay on that side of the building. Overall, Place was clean and neat. The pool does open 5-10 not sure why. In general, this is a good plac... Read more

We stayed here for 8 nights while on vacation. This hotel is great. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Room was very comfortable and clean. Absolutely no complaints. Location is perfect. They have a free shuttle to take you to the train station or you can easily drive to DC in about 12 to 15 minutes with easy traffic if you don't go at rush hour. There are lots of restaurants nearby and several that will deliver to the hotel. King Street in Old Town is only about 10 mins or less away and ther... Read more

My husband and I stayed here with our 2 year old son in a king sized suite. The room was wonderful and clean, the ceilings were high which I loved because it felt larger in the room. A/C worked great and felt nice especially because it was 100 degrees when we came. We had free breakfast which was OK. Several options but the eggs and meat were not too satisfying. I used the laundry room one evening while I was there which was complementary. I only paid for soap and dryer sheets. It worked OK, but... Read more

Our family of five stayed here. We were glad to leave the next day. The first thing that went wrong was the cards for the room and the pool etc . . . did not work. We kept having to go back to the desk for help with the swipe cards. The hotel staff did not apologize for the inconvenience but only stated that they have been having problems lately with the cards. Then there is the internal appearance of the hotel which was generally worn looking. We won't be back to this location.

Recently opened, clean and well designed. Not a lot of frills, but certainly everything you need. Plenty of easy, free parking, good wifi. Beer or wine available for purchase as well as snacks. Fast easy check in. Outside of DC traffic but easy to access city and Metro. Easy to find.

This little hotel packs an upscale punch, with very well laid-out rooms ideal for business meetings. The pool area is very nice, and the meeting accommodations are top rate. If you are hoping for a big bang for your buck, and have business meetings, I'd recommend this venue over and over.

We stayed one night and took the metro over to DC. This hotel is a great location close to restaurants and transportation. It had a nice modern look, and very clean spacious rooms. Free breakfast was delicious and good coffee too. We would definitely stay here again!

This place is right on Highway 1 so good location but poor service and the pool was dirty. Parking was easy and the free morning breakfast was pretty good. Overall the only issue was the cleanliness. Also I am a platinum member and they did not acknowledge anything.

Spacious rooms were clean and reasonably well maintained. The beds were uncomfortable but clean. Lovely little indoor swimming pool and hot tub but both were not available before 5.0pm Small but useable fitness room. Free laundry. They also offer a free shuttle into town or to the local metro station. Not much in the way of restaurants nearby so the shuttle into Old Town was very welcome Nice friendly staff.

This was my home away from home for a month the longest continued I have ever stayed in a hotel. Not only was it a nice facility but the staff "the entire staff" were even nicer. There was an excellent breakfast buffet and one thing that helped in my lengthy stay was a large selection of TV channels.
