I came for work but brought the family along. We have come here about 4 times in the past 6 months and each and every time we had a great experience. The rooms/suites are spacious, comfortable, contemporary and most importantly, clean! With our latest visit, I did notice a mildew/standing water smell in the bathroom which was unexpected but I think it's just time to change the curtain. The room itself was spotless. Our family of four stayed at Homewood Suites for a week in mid-June while we visited DC on vacation. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, always smiling and helpful. The room was well appointed, clean and quiet and the complimentary breakfast was really done well. The kids loved making waffles with the waffle makers! Recently stayed in their one bedroom suite. It was a little small compared to others we have stayed at. But it was clean and fairly quiet. The breakfast was typical, waffles, eggs, etc, but the free all day coffee and hot chocolate was great! Their shuttle van policy to to wait until the van is completely full before taking off, even if we were arranged for one "on request". This resulted in our extremely exhausted family waiting in a stuffy, smelly van for 30 minutes...probably would skip ... Read more

Room was fine, although one bedroom of the 2 bedroom was suite was very loud through the night with what sounded like water turning on and off every 15 minutes. Location was disappointing, between Arlington and Alexandria, but not really in either. Nearest metro stop into DC was a challenging shuttle ride from the hotel, instead just chose to drive into the city. Overall, fine, but certainly should not have been a top rated hotel in the area.

Hands down the best hotel experience! Great rooms, comfy beds, tasty breakfast with large assortment of hot and cold items. Shuttle service was wonderful, check in / out was quick and easy. Every hotel staff member greeted me each time we saw each other in the hall or over the counter. Truly an incredibly well run, clean, safe, friendly place to stay. I will not stay anywhere else when I'm in Alexandria.

Wow - felt like home. Beds were comfy, rooms were large and well equipped, staff was friendly and helpful. Check in/out was quick and easy, location was great. Free shuttle to King St Metro saved us parking hassles, driver was extremely helpful with maps of the area, tourist suggestions. Breakfast was the best I've had in all my years of travel. I will book here every time I'm in the area and recommend it to everyone I know.

Good hotel with lots of space. The rooms were large, two room suite. Kitchen area was more then adequate. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows, which is rare for me to say. If I had one issue, it would be the sofa in the living area was not the most comfortable. Other wise, we thought is was great, and additional note, plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from!!

Upon returning from a day of sightseeing on the second day of stay at the hotel, we could not locate the baby's sterlizer anywhere. We searched all the drawers, cupboards, closets even our bags in the room. We searched 5-6 times. The housekeeping either removed or misplaced it and did not even inform us. Breakfast was good and plentiful but they do not offer the complimentary evening meals over the weekend.

I am an HHonors Diamond member with more than 160 nights in Hilton family properties over the past few years. I stayed at the Homewood Suites DC/Alexandria Pentagon South while on a family trip in July 2016. As with most Homewood Suites, this is a great property to stay in when traveling with family. Suites are large, and multi-bedroom suites are available. Suites are also equipped with pull-out sofa beds. Complimentary free breakfast is included. This property has a nice pool and hot tub.... I really enjoy my stay at this hotel. I stay here often when I am in town for work. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are very clean and give the feel of an apartment. Which I can appreciate if I am in town for a few days. The hotel is basically across the street from Skyline Towers which is a government office building so its pretty convenient if you are here for business in that building. The only gripe I have with this hotel is that it is that close to the building I work ... Read more

This hotel makes you really feel at home. The mini kitchen in the room is perfect. But then again, who needs it? Breakfast is served every day and also light food is served in the evenings from Monday through Thursday so having a kitchen is simply icing on-on-the cake! The hotel staff...from the room service to management are very nice and accommodating. The rooms are very clean and the amenities are perfect. Great place! I will definitely recommend it to family and friends!

Great location for accessing WDC, Old Town Alexandria, Arlington, Shirlington areas. Plusses include free parking and free 24/7 coffee/tea. Rooms are clean, the breakfast buffet is plentiful, and the staff are professional and attentive. Stayed for 2-weeks on business and while I was ready to leave by the end of the stay, the hotel certainly made it bearable.

This is a great place to stay when you go to Washington DC. Close to the Pentagon and only 5 miles to town. Breakfast is excellent, light meals are tasty. Close to a variety of restaurants and shopping. Alicia, a desk clerk is a very special person. She will make your stay taking care of your needs. The evening meal staff make you feel at home. I stayed here 11 weeks and felt at home. Well worth your stay.

I would enjoy visiting Homewood Suites again. Besides Old Town Alexandria, which can be reached by H. S. shuttle, there is Schlesinger Concert Hall at the Northern Virginia Community College. Veterans day provided us reason to visit Arlington Cemetery, and the Air Force Memorial. Another place to visit was the Weenie Beanie in Arlington off of Four Mile Run Drive.

I am a Hilton diamond member, so i stay in Hinton quite a lot. Manager's special: never seen one without alcohol (not even for purchase). Food options were carrots, celery, lettuce (for salad) and pasta. The first spoonful pulled a long hair from my pasta. Disgusting... Room: bathroom was not clean. Walls were paper thin, so I could hear everything our neighbors were talking about. After every bathroom flush pipes were making terrible whistling noise. I woke up many times at night. Hotel cle... There is a ton of room for people to stretch out. We drove to Virginia and we stayed at the homewood suites and it was great. I was very happy with the amount room inside of our room. There was a kitchen, a living room and a bedroom with two beds for everyone. A pull out couch is also available for you to use. The front desk employees are very nice and friendly as well. Great hotel to stay at.
