Great newer hotel in a great area. The staff was awesome and very accommodating. Especially Mizane at the front desk. Breakfast could have taste a little better, but the convenience of eating at the hotel was worth a little extra money. Will definitely stay again.

The Hilton Garden Inn is a clean, well-maintained hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice. The location, convenient to the King Street Metro and the shops and restaurants on King Street, is very good. The only negative was that they do not offer a complimentary continental breakfast-- but we took advantage of the Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks located just around the corner.

This is a small neighborhood hotel offering services par excellence! Staff are courteous, professional and friendly. The Breakfasts are amazing with a large variety of offerings from eggs , breakfast meats, pastries, cereals, fruits and more. My favorite remains the Jalapeno Omlettes. For those who like to start their day with some spice for life - this is strongly recommended!

quality as expected for a HGI. The location is fantastic, can walk to dinner in Old Town if you don't mind a 15 minute stroll. Walking to Whole Foods, which is great since there was a fridge in the room. Hotel staff were all extremely helpful, especially when I lost my wallet and they helped track it down. be sure to check out the rooftop seating area! I didnt discover this hidden gem until my last night at the hotel; it's great for late night working sessions during nice weather.

The Hilton Garden Inn in Old Town is in a great location:it close to King's metro station, close to Whole Food store and not far from the shopping on King Street. It is a quiet area! The beds are very comfortable plus the rooms have a refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker! I would go back again!

Beautiful hotel with many restaraunts in walking distance. Very convenient to Reagan National. Was unable to enjoy the breakfast this trip...next time. Use the rooftop terrace on 6th floor! A little expensive but I used points/ cash through honors. Parking is $32.00/night, which was the only thing I didn't like.

The hotel staff located at this Hilton is top notch. The entire staff is friendly and it is evident, customer service is their number one priority. The room was clean, comfortable and modern. The location is both convenient to great food /drinks in Old Town Alexandria, as well as located nearby the King Street Metro Station. I will stay there again.

We stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn because it was convenient to Old Town and the Metro to DC. Also, we traveled by train to Alexandria. The Garden Inn was a short walk from the station. Our room was modern and clean. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The area is quiet and has mostly offices near it. But you are not far from King Street, where you can take a trolly up and down the street for free. The only room we saw for improvement was that there was no breakfast included. They had... Read more

Ended up staying here recently due to some training in the area. The hotel staff were friendly from the get-go and always seemed to be very helpful, regardless of the time of day. The rooms are actually quite large and there is self-service laundry in the building. The cleaning staff was also very attentive and my room always felt like it was cleaned to check-in standards. This hotel is in beautiful Old Town. A lot to do within walking distance. I'm a repeat guest due to business travel and the associates always go above and beyond. I travel 2-3 weeks a month and this is definitely my favorite business hotel. The rooms are clean and quiet. The in room refrigerator and microwave is handy. Overall enjoyed staying at hotel. The entire area is expensive, so their cost relative to other hotels is pretty good. Very close access to the DC metro, which gets you anywhere you want to go. There is also the King Street trolley (which is free) that takes you straight to Alexandria waterfront and will stop along the way. The only downside to the room, there is a very bright green light from their smoke detector that won't turn off. It illuminates the entire room at night when trying to sleep.

This is a hotel at the "top" of the main roads in Alexandria, VA. That means it is away from the "heart" of the King and Prince Street shops and Restaurants and inland from the water. That being said, the hotel does have transportation over to this area for free. (One CAN walk to the downtown area, but is IS a ways by foot.) The hotel is clean and well maintained. Note: There is no onsite self parking and no pool.

This HGI is conveniently located for the Metro, which is a short walk across the road. From there, it is about a 15 minute ride into central DC. It is also a pleasant 20 minutes walk through to Old Town Alexandria and the Potomac. There is nothing particularly special about this HGI and I thought the rates were high for what it is, but when compared with central DC prices, maybe it is just expensive in this part of the world? The rooms have microwave, fridge, coffee maker, iron & board etc. The location is perfect, not only to stroll into Alexandria Old Town, but it's just a stone's throw from the Amtrak and Metro s... Location and HGI format was fine. Place has a few issues. Entrance is not friendly to handicapped much less anyone with luggage. Stairs are only way in. Bell service helpful but shouldn't be necessary. Used pre check available to members leaving room choice to staff. Diamond member got a nice large very comfortable room on 2nd floor. Only there 3 night but found out on last night room was tight over the loading dock. And they get food deliveries very early. Restaurant in lobby doesn't open till... Read more

This hotel is conveniently located to the King Street Metro station and so access to downtown Washington, DC is easy. Old Town Alexandria has a very safe feel to it & I walked to different restaurants each night. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the desk staff was great.

This is a really nice place to stay in the DC area. Convenient to everything in Alexandria, and only two blocks to the Metro station. The place is ultra clean, quiet, and modern. Sharon and Estelle at the front desk acted like I was an old friend and really treated me like a king. Extremely helpful. I had trouble understanding the digital thermostat, and Chris Simms responded. He was patient with this old guy, and couldn't have been nicer. I have only good things to say about my stay here... Basic room with coffee, microwave and frig. Quiet location. Bed was comfortable. Morning coffee and tea in the lobby. Easy access to the Metro and Old Town. Customer service was a mixed bag, difficulty removing erroneous room charges from my final invoice.

I chose this HGI as it is fairly new. Besides being more expensive than the Hilton, Hampton and Embassy Suites within 2 or 3 blocks, it is noisy (from street noise - I was on 4th flr) and enforced valet parking pretty steep @$32/night. Have stayed at Hampton and Hilton and find them better values.

For a relaxing, beautiful place to stay that's convenient to the Metro into Washington, you just can't beat this hotel. Not as pricey as some hotels, this is a great addition to the area. Valet parking is a must though, so be ready for that... But you can walk to the shops on King Street, and the train is just a block away. Friendly, professional staff and lovely new rooms - what's not to love. Oh, and the food was very good, too! Highly recommended.

Tucked around the corner from the bustling activity on King Street, this Hilton Garden is always on their game. Friendly staff, walking distance to all Alexandria has to offer, and a really lovely facility. The only negative is the $32 valet parking fee. You're rather held hostage to this as close by parking is anything but plentiful. About a 3 minute walk from the DC Metro so traveling in to Washington is super easy and there is no need to Uber or taxi. Even a Starbucks across the street insi... Read more

Walking distance from King Street Metro = very convenient. Walking distance from Whole Foods for take-out food = very convenient. We lucked out on great rates and got the huge corner room for only $5 a night extra. Best thing about this hotel? The Staff!!! Eisa at check-in, Narda (?) giving us very late checkout on the last day. And best of all, Vladimir every morning at breakfast, asking about our stay, making sure everything was acceptable and absolutely remembering our breakfast preferen... Read more

Everything was clean and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful at all levels. During our stay I became ill and needed to have medication called into a nearby pharmacy. It was going to take a bit to get filled and our check out time was nearing. We stopped down and spoke with the manager and he allowed us to have a 2 1/2 hour later check out time to help accomodate us. It was very helpful and much appreciated.

The Hilton Garden in is in a great location. Access from the beltway is easy and it's within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and the Potomac. The hotel was clean and staff were all very friendly. The cost of valet parking was $32, which is high compared to the west coast, but probably not out of line considering the location. I'd definitely stay there again and recommend the hotel.

As far as location goes this hotel is just about perfect. Far enough from King Street to avoid the noise and traffic but close enough to be there in minutes, as well as super easy access to the Metro and Amtrak stations. We were visiting without a car so these were all important to us. We were hoping that we could get one of the king panoramic view rooms (and actually thought that was what we had reserved) but they didn‚??t have one available. The regular king room was more than adequate, if... Read more

Hotel looked new or had been completely renovated. Great location. Valet parking required though - $32 (Ouch!) Getting the AAA package of room and parking when you reserve will save money. Good proximity to Old Town
