Was in the DC area on business. Hilton is next to the King Street Metro Station in Alexandria. Easy trip into the District. Staff was great, food was good although there are a lot of options in Old Town Alexandria. Would stay there again.

We stayed in a clean, well appointed room that was quiet and comfortable. Room looked brand-new- which I think the property was just renovated. It was a short stay, but just same, it was good enough to provide a positive rating. Stay here-super close to METRO and dining/shopping at old town. Will stay again.

Had my assistant book the Hotel thru an OTA. Unfortunately, since it was done thru an OTA, my Hilton Diamond Award didn't pop up in the system at check-in or at anytime during the stay. Total mistake! Long story - short, I was treated like a new customer. OUCH! From the moment we walked in, to getting a Handicap accesible room (didn't need a handicap room), all was downhill from there. Ive stayed at this property over 10 nights a year. This time it wasn't nearly as enjoyable as others.. All be... Read more

We were very happy at this hotel. First of all, the access to the Metro was fantastic. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, it was great to get off the train and just cross the street and be there. Plus it was raining most of our trip so we doubly enjoyed the proximity to the transportation. Being in Old Town was a nice way to end the day as well. Walking on a lovely street with many choices to eat was a plus. And the trolley was a nice benefit as well. Having the Starbucks in the lobby an... Read more

Great location right next to metro station. Walking distance to restaurants and waterfront but if you don't want to walk a free shuttle is right across the street from the hotel. Big rooms. The rates at the hotels in downtown DC were astronomically high, so we opted for a hotel that was near to the metro. This hotel was ideal because the station was across the street and we were able to get into DC in about 12 minutes every day. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and professional.

We stayed four nights at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town and we were very pleased with our choice. We had booked an Executive room which was huge and very comfortable- as was the bed. We enjoyed staying in Alexandria Old Town rather than in Washington and found the location, opposite the train station, to be very convenient for the 15 minute train journey. This was my second visit for pleasure with the intent of walking the 17 blocks down to the water with shops, restaurants and the torpedo factory along the way-- and a back up! That was a wonderful experience. The hotel itself is great as all Hiltons are. I enjoyed having Starbucks there, and ate dinner in the dining room. The food was fine. But the number one reason I stay in a hotel is to sleep. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. Enough said.

It's 2016, not 1996. The internet is not a luxury. It is as important as running water and reliable electricity. You don't charge me extra for my usage of them, if I take too long a shower or use too many lights. So why, Hilton, are you charging for internet use? Worse, why are you penalising me for booking through Expedia and not direct. If you only want to offer internet to non-Expedia bookers then stop using Expedia. Your rude check-in staff have ensured I will never stay in a Hilton again.

This hotel was perfect for our stay in Old Town. Very convenient to the metro, shops, and restaurants. We really liked being able to keep our car in the parking garage until 5:00 p.m. on the day of checkout. This gave us the whole day to walk around Old Town without having to find on-street parking, which would have been difficult.

Located directly off the King Street Metro Stop. Walking distance to most Old Town attractions. If you don't want to walk, Alexandria has a free shuttle that runs down King Street between the Metro and the tourist attractions on the Potomac. CIty bikes are available to rent right out the front door. Front desk was friendly and helpful. The only negative is the high room rate.
