Extended Stay had really lived up to its name in being a place of extended stay for me last year. I stayed between two Extended Stay location for about 3 or 4 months while working in Washington and I enjoyed it. Though this one was the least of my favorites considering the bus route ends going in this direction at a certain time, my living experience was the same. Very pleasant receptionist' and room servicers. Onsite washing and drying facilities, although pricey, it is convenient. Just about... Read more

Spent 1 night driving back to NJ from FL. Outdated everything. Not even the front door is automatic. The bed was fine and the room was relatively quiet. Enough grass to walk a dog. Breakfast is grab n' go muffins, bananas and apples. The coffee is pre-made and had to use Coffee Mate creamer. At least the room was clean.

My family stayed here during a weekend visit and I was quite disappointed by many aspects of the hotel. Definitely did not live up to the 4/5 star ratings I've seen here and on other websites. The only plus is that it is relatively cheap (for the area, which isn't saying much) and the staff, depending on who you come across, can be friendly. The room was standard, outdated furniture, it smelled bad (musty and smoky), and there was a hole (burned?) in the comforter/blanket on top. The kitchen h... Read more

I get to the hotel after working a 12 hour shift, I walk up to the front desk and their's no one there. I'm waiting and waiting before I see a sign saying use phone on right hit 0 to call for assistance. I call they say hello and I say how's it going? I'm here to check in. She comes out from the back and says "key?" I say I'm checking in i dont have a key, she replies with checking out? I said "no in". She said you have a reservation, I say yes she said did you look online I said what? She said ... Read more

We were visiting relatives in Alexandria and found this location perfect. Easy to get to and from. For this price, you have to realize you are getting basic hotel services. For many things, like kitchen items and room cleaning, you must ask and follow up. Staffing is minimal, but everyone is helpful and polite. The room was clean, and the mattress covered to prevent bedbugs (we liked that). A bit noisy in the morning with workers at local businesses staying here, but safe and clean. Another not... Read more

My company put me here for my 13 week work contract in D.C. and my experience was so terrible I checked out after 4 days and moved to a real hotel. The front desk clerk was non caring and about as helpful as a box of rocks. The first room they gave me was disgusting and filthy from top to bottom, Dirty toilet and shower, the carpet was sticky and the kitchen area was also disgusting. The second room was better until I tried to get to sleep. Constant loud drunk patrons banging and shouting in the... Read more

Very nice rooms and customer service was good, except the desk personnel was working alone on Saturday evening and the desk was unattended and we had to wait to check-in about 10 minutes. Value of rooms were very good and the set up in the rooms were excellent. Bathroom was not disability accessible though (toilet low) not high for disable person.

I would first like to start by saying the staff on the front desk was quite courteous and friendly. The young lady named London was excellent. The room itself was a bit outdated. The stove was dirty from previous customers. Although I was in a non-smoking room, cigarette and cigar smoke was coming from other rooms into my room. I didn't realize that the entire facility was not a non-smoking facility.

It's a bad sign when other guests are standing around dissing the hotel while you're waiting to check in, but unfortunately my subsequent experience was in line with their comments. I had been promised a non-smoking room by the hotel manager, but that had not been entered into the system, so I stayed in a smoking room that reeked of smoke. The room was tired, shabby, and only clean-ish. There were uncollected bags of trash and piles of dirty laundry in the corridors. Few services or amenities, m... Read more

The room was relatively quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff were polite, but seemed to lack leadership and coordination. The "grab and go" breakfast was forgettable. The cost for an extended stay was reasonable, and the location was convenient to our needs.

I booked and paid for a room 1 month in advance through Hotels.com. Upon arrival they did not have my room, even though I had the confirmation email. The HORRIBLE customer service ruined our vacation.

We stayed overnight here as our mission team had an early morning flight out of Dulles. The rooms were clean, very basic, but not what we would have chosen if we were on our own. The staff were cordial but not very friendly. No bottled water in the vending machines, nor was any offered in the morning. Continental breakfast was sufficient to grab a prewrapped muffin and a cup of coffee.

For the most part that hotel was accommodating. The internet service you have to pay for each device to connect to receive high speed and that is something I think you should pay one fee and be able to connect all devices to.

We checked in on 7/8/16 for a getaway weekend in Alexandria VA. Have never stayed at Extended Stay America before so thought I'd give it a try. Big Mistake! The outside of the hotel looks decent, but, for the price, it is not walking distance to anything. Nice girl at check in, Sophia. Got to room, opened the door, and overwhelmed with a nasty sour smell. ugh! Well, it was after 6pm and we were tired, so...start unpacking, check the kitchen only to find NOTHING. No utensils, pots, pans, ... Read more

This three-story extended stay hotel is about a mile (and a couple of turns) right off the interstate highway. Because this is an extended stay hotel where people can live for a weeks to months, it appears that the reception desk is only open during business hours; I went down to report a minor issue with water running in the bathroom and found the desk dark and unattended. The hotel doors are locked in "off hours" but you can easily obtain entry with your room card/key. While washers and dryers... Read more

If you went by the last couple of reviews, this place could've easily sounded like it belonged on Elm Street. So when I ended up with this Hotel, I wasn't feeling as enthusiastic as I was with the price I got it for. But hey, you get what you paid. First, let me begin by saying the hotel wasn't that bad. Check-in was rather quick and the front desk pleasant. I didn't have much interaction with them for the rest of the trip except over the phone and while helpful, they didn't go out of their wa... Booked on Priceline to attend a funeral. Arrived at 9:30 pm after the viewing to check in. After checking in, but before I left the front desk, I asked to confirm that I had a non-smoking room and had two beds. Staff said it was neither. I said that when I booked the room, I requested non-smoking and two beds. Staff said it was the last room--sorry. Went to the room and the bed was ruffled as if someone just crawled out of it. Room smelled of smoke. Staff accompanied me back to the room ... Read more

This place is ok for a longer term stay. I expected kitchen items to be in the room, after all this is an extend stay hotel. You have to ask for any item that you want i.e. plates, glasses, forks and knifes. The nearest restaurant or coffee shop is a 20 min walk. There is nothing around the hotel. Your best bet is to call a cab and have them take you to the ‚??Old Town‚?? Area. Do not count on the breakfast; coffee, packets of oatmeal, and granola bars is about the limit. The rooms are ok. A large bed and good price are to be had a Extended Stay America (ESA). Checkin is fast and friendly. This is a great place to stay for a reasonable price when visiting the DC area. There is also a close off-ramp to the 495 Beltway. I think that you find ESA a great value and place to stay next time you are in Alexandria and the DC area.

I booked the night before, drove 3 hours and was told that i had no reservation..luckily, it was a weekday and i got to make a new reservation for that same location while in the parking lot. The front desk was nice. Accommodating. Room Was clean.. Only issue was they did not have enough wash cloths for everyone. We had 3 for a family of 4 when we needed 8. I used a knife to cut a hand towel in 4 pieces. Lol..ahh well.. Nonetheless, for the first time I can say I had a pleasant stay at an Ext... Read more
