This is really a great hotel. Even though it's quite large, it's easy to get around. Elevators work quickly and efficiently. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed as well as spacious. The one issue I had was parking. It's complimentary, but extremely tight. Don't try to park your SUV here. Our Subaru barely fit! And not in all the spaces. I would stay here again anyway, but be forewarned.

Staying here now...slowest internet I have experienced in years! I cannot load CNN or even FaceTime! Called the Front desk...several times..eventually, after pick up, I was placed on hold for 5 minutes. I explained thie situation and then I was connected to an offsite IT call center! I was on hold for 15 minutes! I gave up, called the front desk, and was hung upon by the front desk manager! I then continued to call and eventually the Manager on Duty came to my room, Nathan. I often stay at Embassy Suites. The overall experience left me cold, feeling a lack of hospitality and below-average general management. It was hard to get helpful info from the hotel staff before arrival about the possibility of early check in. I was told that their policy is to give no info other than the check in time, and was promised that I would get a text as soon as a room was ready. It didn't happen. The front desk seemed to be under-staffed and doing crisis management. The hotel st... Read more

From the grand entrance and images this hotel looked like a nice and affordable option for my husband and I to stay the weekend. We are currently staying at the hotel and thinking of checking out. We checked into our 'suite' to find the carpet all soaking wet with what looked like a leaking fridge. The bathroom has mold on the benches and all the wall hooks and shower rods are falling off the wall. I found little bugs flying around in one of rooms as well. All of this within 20minutes of c... The room was big enough to handle our family with two girls. The breakfast was very good with a la crate omelette. The people in the hotel were very nice. It's located just steps away from the metro, DCA airport is at two stops and the OldTown was very cozy.

Checkin took almost 15 minutes as only one person was working. I'm a Hilton Honors Gold member and the front desk employee didn't care at all. I went to the front desk at 5:15PM and requested change for a $20 bill. The same employee just said "I don't have any". I find it hard to believe she was out of change at that time. She made no effort to help me at all. I wasn't surprised because she had an attitude an hour earlier when we checked in. When we checked out we had to wait about... Read more

We needed rooms next to each other and somehow that wasn't available at the beginning, but they managed to fix everything. After a short wait, we had all our rooms together. The embassy Suites has a great value with a few exceptions. Easy access to metro. Easy access to the Trolley that runs for free to the waterfront and back to Old Town Alexandria. We booked a suite and it was very large and comfortable. The only reason the rating is not a 5 star is the noise of the air conditioner. It worked great but really loud. The happy hour is great and the breakfast the next day is super. The omelets were wonderful.

We stayed here for a long weekend. It proved to be very convenient to the Metro so that we could do all of the tourist type stuff we wanted to do in DC and was also convenient to the trolley for travel to the Waterfront in Old Town. Breakfasts were good. Rooms were comfortable. Would certainly stay here again.

Bigger pools are a must. Separate sauna for adults only. Pool was overcrowded and children were rowdy. Ran out of bacon. Eggs appeared to be instant. Lines were a bit long. Directional signage would have been nice for breakfast. Knowing where to go for omelette station and who to ask for refresh of bacon was a bit confusing.

It is well located across the metro station. But the hotel has already aged. It is understaffed at the front desk, and you may have to wait to get some answers. The rooms are spacious. I recommend the XX02 rooms, which are above the entrance. The bedroom wall of windows is semi-circular - I liked that. Apart from that, it is already oldish inside. Service is OK, they don't replace everything you used. I had to ask for shampoo for ex. If you are staying at 302, you level with the pool/jacuzzi, at... Read more

The room is an Embassy Suites standard with microwave, refrigerator, ironing board, separate room for sleeping. The bed is quite comfy, unfortunately I had a little bit of plumbing issues. The toilet would only flush if I held down the flusher for 3 seconds or more and the tub had a slow drain as well. The manager's reception only had a few bits of cheese, crackers and chips. What a shame this hotel offers a great location next to Meteo and Amtrak stations and with in walking distance to beautiful King Street. Advert for hotel states recently renovated. This hotel has not been renovated or even cleaned in years. The best part of experience was free mediocre breakfast. Hotel was awful, falling apart and beyond dirty!! Don't waist your money here.

We had a king suite for three nights on bed & breakfast, and were entirely happy with every aspect of our stay. Located in Old Towne Alexandria (which is very well-worth exploring - there's a free shuttle bus too) right opposite the Metro station, you couldn't be better placed for a trip to Washington. There is an underground car park, and Happy Hour daily with free (yes, free!) drinks. I know it's all built into the price, and this is not cheap lodgings - it's Washing DC after all - but you ... The best part about this hotel was the location to the Metro. The rooms were average. The biggest issues were breakfast. There were lines regardless of what time we went down in the morning to eat. If you wanted food from the hot line you should expect a 30 min wait. Multiple times the bread or muffins were out, no fruit, etc. Just not a good situation.

Stayed 3 nights at this location. The hotel and rooms were clean, breakfast was very good, and location next to the metro is great. Note that internet is ~$10 per day unless you are a Hilton honors member. The living room part of the suite is dark and a little depressing and can be quite loud at night since it is adjacent to a large courtyard that contains the bar. We had a great trip - This hotel is very a comfortable hotel - The cook provided us with an excellent breakfast and service. we had a comfortable bed, clean rooms, found the staff very helpful. It is a great location outside of D.C. but close to King street and lots of great eateries etc. Quick Check-in and no issues exception for a lack of hot water in the bathroom sink. Everything else was great.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY! Every staff member was helpful, I did not met anyone with negative attitude! I felt right at home if not better! I loved every minute of my stay, Victor is the Front Office Manager and he was very accommodating!

Decent room & location. Staff needs retraining in working in a service industry. They acted like they were upset they had to be at work. We really liked the location & facility but will look for another hotel next time just to avoid dealing with the staff

The staff is friendly enough, but limited in what extras they are able to do (like cleaning room to MY schedule). The breakfast includes cooked to order eggs... Read more

Needed a place to sleep in town during a stressful family holiday visit. Embassy Suites in Alexandria was the perfect location and had the perfect amenities for a solo traveler needing some relaxing down time. Beautiful, comfortable, clean hotel in the middle of Old Town Alexandria, walking distance from many great restaurants and even a Whole Foods Market! The breakfast buffet included in price was definitely a plus! Hotel staff very friendly. I will continue staying at Hilton locations wh... Read more
