The staff was accommodating. My wife uses crutches and we asked for a room near the elevator and they obliged. Limited parking with a a few handicap spaces ($20 a night). The Starbucks was a few blocks away but a nice walk. WiFi was excellent. Overall it was a nice stay.

When my husband and I arrived we saw that there was valet parking available. We drove to the station where the attendant promptly left and never returned. We self parked and went for check in. The hotel itself is clean, if a bit out of date. The beds need an upgrade and so does the fitness center, which cannot truly be called a gym. It is a great central location for trips to DC and for historic sites in the area.

Room was clean. Stayed on the 7th floor. With the airport close by, never heard the planes or outside noise. Shuttle bus ran every 15 min to the airport to catch the metro. Some great places to eat in walking distance.

I am here for work from May until July and I have to admit the staff bends over backwards for me! Amazing~ the location is great as I can see the Potomac from my window and I can walk along the beautiful paths by the river after work. It's in a quiet part of old town but I can still walk to some nice pubs and restaurants plus Trader Joes???

I expected a bit more out of a Crowne Plaza location to be honest. The front desk looked tired and was somewhat messy upon both visits. The side door to the parking lot wasn't functional; however, the room was clean and functional, Wi-Fi was free and parking is provided.. The location is about 3/4 of a mile to the Old Town restaurant and shopping district, so a bit far to walk when the temps are above 80 and you are in business attire. Given the title I had thought the hotel to be in the hea... Read more

This hotel was very disappointing overall. The facilities were clean, the room well maintained and we had a lovely view of the river. However it was quite small and had the thinnest walls I have ever had to endure. Each time someone walked by in the hall and shut their door it was like a cannon booming. I have read reviews of people complaining of noise before but have never in any hotel experienced anything like this. The first night or rather early morning our neighbour decided to turn on ... Easy walk to Old Town Harbor. Great restaurants, shops. take water taxis or tours on the river into Washington. Free shuttle rides to the Metro and Reagan Airport. Easy to get to Washington sites. Safe to walk around at all times of day or night. Personal staff. Dated hotel but in OK shape. Will definitely return to this area if travelling to Washington.

The room was nice and clean, if a bit dated. Airport shuttle was quick/on time, and they also have a shuttle into other area of town but I did not try it out. The food was reasonable prices/quality. I don't have any negative comments, but nothing stood out as overly special either. All in all, would stay at again if I was in the area.

The guest rooms are nice and clean, rather quiet. The location of the hotel is ideal as one can walk down the shore to the old town in about 10 minutes. It's a very nice walk that leads to the old part of Alexandria with good restaurants, which I strongly recommend as the food in the hotel is not so good. Staff is friendly and wifi works pretty well.

Located in a beautiful, quiet town called Alexandria, truly picturesque. The hotel is clean, open and airy. The only way to get to your room is in the elevator, which can be a bit hectic when there are a larger group arriving at the same time. I booked this hotel when visiting friends over Independence Day weekend. It was under $100 and a great location.
