Stayed 7 days and 6 nights and enjoyed my stay. Hotel was clean and modern. Every staff member I came into contact was very friendly and helpful. Located a 4 minute drive away from the Metro stop and not much farther than that from some okay dining. Plenty of delivery options too. The bistro was pricey, but a decent selection and quality. The sunrise starter sandwich is very sustaining. The beds are nice and firm without being hard. My one and only complaint is the "fitness center". Three treadm... Read more

First, the good. Clean hotel. Friendly staff. The bad: Exercising is a priority when I travel. The exercise room is on the 8th floor. They do not open it until 6AM. There are no signs posted to that effect. When asked about it (at 5AM), the person said that is policy. They offered to take me to the SHS, but time was the issue They claim that noise is an issue. Next door to the exercise room is a coin laundry room, with no such time restriction. Washers and dryers make significant noise... Read more

We attended a family wedding at Fort McNair and needed a hotel close by. I was immediately impressed by Jonathan Renkiewicz, the operations manager. He greeted us warmly, found a room ready for us, even though we were early, and gave great advice on local dining. In addition, he took the time to give us detailed directions so that we could navigate the area successfully. The breakfast in the Bistro was delicious and the staff attentive and professional. We experienced a couple of bumps with... Read more

Hotel was perfectly adequate for our purposes -- a one-night stopover en route south. It is located in the midst of a large complex of office buildings and is not within walking distance of anything you would want to see or do in Alexandria, other than to attend a business meeting. But the price was fair, the breakfast (included) was ample and served nicely at our table. Parking was on-site and no charge. Old Town Alexandria is a short drive away, with restaurants and tourist bits. No com... Read more

the room was nice and roomy. it had a really cool oval shaped sofa. we only stayed one night but it was relaxing for me. Debbie at the desk greeted us at 5am after our long drive from boston... there was a problem with her computer system so there were some issues with checking in. for our tired eyes and inconvenience, she only charged us for one night's stay and offered complimentary breakfast which we did not use. i left the hotel about an hours later for an interview and my friend didn't like... This is a very comfortable hotel that, although a bit out of the way, was excellent. They provide a shuttle to the metro station; however, it is only a 10-minute walk to the Metro Station. Also, across from the metro station is a cluster of restaurants, and even an IMAX theater. There is a nice, clean, safe, running/walking/biking trail - the length of which I am not sure. In the office complex next door, there was an Aldo's Italian restaurant. Nothing fancy - a bit modern looking. The food... Read more

Had a great experience here. The hotel was recently updated. According to one employee, this hotel had been completely remoderled after Marrioott bought it 2 years ago from another chain. Our room was spacious, super clean and well laid out for business travel as well as other travelers. There were outlets everywhere, especially at desk and night stand. The room had a very small refrigerator, but no microwave. There is a communal micro in the bristo. The self serve Bristo had various food... Read more

I spend a lot of nights in hotels across the east coast of the United States . In Washington DC I have enjoyed staying at Courtyard Marriott throughout the region. Highly recommend Courtyard Alexandria for friendly staff and the crew at the restaurant takes royal care of you. Food is always cooked correctly which isn't always the case at other places.

Our family tries to take trip to D.C. every couple years. We normally stay in Nation Harbor but the transportation availability had changed so we decided to stay at the Courtyard Alexandria Old Town. We are so happy that we stayed at this family/child friendly property! We will always stay at this property in the future! From the rooms's cleanliness to the staff's friendliness, the experience was wonderful from the moment we checked in. Mohammed greeted us and was very helpful with our many ques... Read more

Stayed here for one night with my daughter. The staff is professional, courteous and efficient. Check in was effortless. Our room was a perfectly ordinary double-queen room that could have been in any hotel, anywhere. The large desk-TV stand-storage cupboard takes up a lot of space in the room and should be re-thought when the hotel is renovated. The bathrooms have not been updated other than the showerhead, but it was clean and functional. A big knock on the hotel is the parking. The... Read more

We stayed here before going to Mt. Vernon. The hotel was very clean and had a nice modern atmosphere. We were very tired after a long day of sightseeing in DC and didn't want to venture out after arriving. We ordered burgers from the Bistro and they were pretty good and not too pricey. The staff was nice and it's definitely a place we would go back to of we're in the area again.

Great location, lots around to do. The hotel was clean and readily available upon arrival. Breakfast was included with the stay, as well as all day coffee. The rooms were comfy. The shower area and toilet area are separate; great for families!!! Within 5 minutes of hotel shuttle to the Metro. The shuttle was available every time we needed it. Out side of that, we Uber to other areas. Still within 10/15 minutes to Old Town. From the time we arrive to the time that we parted, the staff was very... Read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Erica Walker! I was lost, driving in circles around Alexandria looking for the Huntington metro station. My gas tank was on empty, I was tired and frustrated... so I finally decided to pull over to the Courtyard Alexandria Marriot to ask for some directions. I was panicky, but Erica greeted with a smile and she comforted me. Erica pulled up directions to the Huntington metro station on her computer. She also walked me through the directions step-by-... I don't usually write reviews, but I just had to go the extra mile and write this one. The property is wonderful and well kept but what added the special touch for me was Ms. Erica Walker, the guest service representative. She really provided excellent service. She helped my family and I get the most of our visit to the Washington, DC area. My little girl looked for Ms. Walker daily when we returned to the hotel to tell her all about her day! Easy check-in!! Our room was on the third floor. Clean and comfortable bed!!! We walked to restaurants and the Metro. There is a shuttle available too!! Nice woman at the desk helped us with questions about the Metro. The Starbucks/Bistro in hotel was our first stop each morning. Parking is in the lot along side the hotel. Good value to stay here rather than more expensive hotels downtown!!

The hotel isn't horrible but it seems run down. I wound up here as it was close to work and I didn't feel like driving the hour and a half home. The staff was courteous and the lobby is clean. My ire started with the parking situation. This place is shimmed in between 495 and Eisenhower. The parking lot is extremely small and oddly shaped for someone driving a full size truck. The elevator looked as if it had been abused during a spring break party fest. The halls to my room were dark and... Read more

First the positives. Lobby staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. Lobby and rooms look to have been renewed not too long ago. The physical condition of the hotel is above average for a Courtyard property. Nice and clean! I checked in with the mobile app prior to arrival and the door cards were ready to be picked up by the time I got to the front desk. Efficient! My family and I decided to visit Washington D.C. for our summer vacation, and because I stayed at this hotel in 2014, my family decided to return. First and foremost, Erica at the front desk was awesome and a very nice person. She made sure that we were pleased with our accommodations, and we absolutely enjoyed staying in Rooms 227 and 228. The rooms were very spacious and clean. We will continue staying at this hotel whenever we are in the Northern Virginia/D.C. area!

I expect that a Marriot Courtyard will have air conditioning units that work properly. When I checked in my room had to be changed because the AC did not work right. The front desk told me that this is a problem for EVERY room on the property. The AC in my new room went bad within 24 hours. It began blowing hot air and the room heated up to 85 degree. When traveling, most hotels are the same. This Marriott went above and beyond. Enough for me to write a review. This is a very clean, well kept property that is a good location to 95/495 and a lot of other places. The lobby space is very large and the parking is a little small in the front, but there is a parking deck at the back of the building.
