The room was pretty standard. It wasn't in bad shape but was due for a renovation. I had no problems staying here with my 7 and 8 yr old daughters. The location was close to the highway and about 3 miles from the Expo for the Marine Corps 1/2 Marathon. What really stood out was the exceptional breakfast. They had everything you could think of for a hotel breakfast and the quality was top notch thanks to Susan, she was such a rock star! She went above and beyond to ensure everything was tend... Very clean and the staff was super friendly! The breakfast was also very nice. We were pleased with our stay there and would stay again. The front desk staff was very friendly upon our arrival and we were very happy with the condition of our room.

Was very pleased with my stay at the Frederiscksburg,VA Best Westerrn. I've never stayed at a Best Western but would sure try another time. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Best breakfast of all the hotels I stayed at this trip. Would highly recommend.

For the price we were pleasantly surprised at how clean the rooms were. Not as modern as you upper priced hotels such as a Hyatt or Marriott, but as a couple traveling with a dog, this was a great, affordable option. The pet fee was incredibly reasonable! If traveling again with our dog, I will definitely seek out a Best Western to stay.

We stopped in on our long drive home and found our hotel clean and reasonably priced. Nice continental breakfast. Staff was courteous and got us checked in quick. This is an older motel but well maintained. Parking was just out your door which made loading and unloading a snap. Near the interstate so easy to find for long distance travelers like ourselves.

We enjoyed or one night stay. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed. No complaints with the bath - clean and well maintained. We took advantage of the pool (towels available poolside) and breakfast which had enough hot/cold choices to satisfy our appetite.

This morning we pulled up at 3:05 am tired and exhausted from our across country drive. We were quickly given our room keys and off to bed to a very clean and fresh room. We slept great waking just in time for breakfast which was absolutely delicious! Upon leaving breakfast, one of your employees was out collecting the trash - he deliberately and meticulously picked up every single piece of trash that guests left in the parking lot and then stopped to help a woman struggling with her suitcase! Quite satisfied with room, location, and accessibility to restaurants and stores. Staff helpful and pleasant. Room small but well presented. Good value. Better than pricey hotel at Myrtle Beach. Great stop on road trip on 95. Would stay here when traveling again.

Surprisingly comfortable. A real value. I would stay here again. Friendly staff. We were meeting friends 1/2 between our homes. They picked the hotel. Best Western is not normally a place we stay, but this changed our minds.

My nephew and I took a road trip from CT to SC. Fredericksburg, VA, is about the half-way point. In general, I am leary of motels/hotels that have a direct outdoor entrance. My mind was quickly put to rest when I walked into our room. Security was more than enough, the room was extremely clean, as was the restroom. Actually, the entire property was extremely clean. Even though it is 100% smoke free facility, the parking lot was NOT littered with cigarette butts, or any type of litter for that ma... Read more

We recently stayed the this Best Western in Fredericksburg and was pleasantly surprised with our experience. Cost: First, I love how they offer a AAA discount--this hotel is very affordable. Free parking (and tons of it!) was a huge plus. Free Wifi (although we didn't use it). Location: It's location was fantastic--right off of Route 3 or I-95. Close proximity to tons of restaurants--as someone with celiac/food allergies, I was happy to find several restaurants I could eat at within a 10 minu... Read more

Easy on/off access from I-95. Very nice clean, comfortable room, but a bit on the tight side for two adults though. It is also pet friendly with a large area behind the hotel to walk your pet. Beds were VERY comfortable and the shower head was exquisite after a long day sitting in I-95 traffic for over 2 hours to go 30 miles. However, walls are on the thin side and one can easily hear the next roomâ??s occupants. Many TV channels to pick from, but hotel does not provide a channel guide. W... Read more

We stopped here to stay overnight on a trip to North Carolina. The room smelled like perfume. Not sure if it was because we were in a pet friendly room, but the smell was stifling and very unpleasant. The bed was pretty comfortable but we heard people all night. In fairness, the hotel was completely booked and it was a Friday night, but we did not get a good night's sleep.

Had a nice stay at this hotel, all the employees are so helpful and are very good at what they do. The room was very clean and definitely exceeded my expectations. We experienced no outside noise at all from our rooms locations. The breakfast was decent for what it was (eggs, bacon, waffles etc...) . The pool area was nice and clean. Definitely could not ask for more there. There are a number of restaurants located within driving distance. The only issue we experienced had nothing to do wi... Read more

A stopover on our way to N.Y. Easy off of 95. Good value and very adequate breakfast included. Room was clean. Only complaint, the pillows were horrible, like sleeping on rocks! Staff were very helpful. The woman taking care of the breakfast area did an outstanding job, keeping it well stocked and very clean!!

This isn't the most pristine Best Western. Outdoor hallways, needs a refurbishment, but if you are just looking for a place to stay in Fredericksburg, this place won't let you down. The continental breakfast was standard Best Western style, if you've stayed a Best Western before - it's basically the same anywhere. There was a KFC, Subway, Shoneys, 7-11, and Dunkin all within a short walk of the hotel, so that was a plus. Nothing special, but it served its purpose, I would stay here again for its... Read more

This is a good hotel for getting to the historic sites around town. It is a little dated, but the staff here was great and no complaints with the room. There aren't a lot of eating choices nearby (a Shoney's and Dunkins is about it), so you may need to eat before you return from your trip.

Room was clean. Appreciated a pet room on the ground floor traveling with 2 dogs. Back of the hotel is away from major roads and on the quiet side, so no highway noise to startle the dogs. It is an older hotel that has been renovated, but overall, in good shape.

This a great hotel for an overnight stopover when travelling up or down I-95. It was very convenient to I-95 and a short distance from downtown Fredericksburg. We were travelling with our dog and we got a ground-floor room which was very convenient for taking him outside. The room had 2 double beds which made the room seem smaller. I would have preferred 1 king bed but I don't think that was available in the pet-friendly rooms. The staff was very nice and the room was clean. We will defini... Read more

I usually stay at Best Western and this was a pleasant stay. It's a clean and comfortable hotel and it's in a convenient location. The staff at the hotel are very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area. The only reason that I'm not giving this a 5 out of 5 is because I had issues with payment and I was charged more than once. But everything was eventually resolved. Everything eventually worked out. Again, not a bad place to stay

Stayed here for our 28th wedding anniversary. Staff was very friendly and helpful with area attractions and breakfast was great. Pool is clean and not to much chlorine so it did not dry your eyes out. Location of hotel was great for seeing historic sites in Fredericksburg.

We had attaching rooms, both were clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. The pool was refreshing. Breakfast was better than expected! They offered hot and cold items including eggs, french toast, fruit, and muffins. It was great! We only have two small complaints. The bathrooms felt a little cramped and there were not enough wall outlets.

We stayed one night in July. Check in was quick and easy, the clerk was friendly and helpful. Our room, 114 ($95), faced the pool but was away from the street. Even though our room faced the pool we didn't hear any noise from the area. This hotel features rooms with exterior doors. If you are looking for a clean/safe/good value hotel for a quick stay, this is the place. We came down from CT. to Myrtle Beach and this was our stop over to and from S.C. for one night each way. The rooms are not fancy but clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is amazing! Also it starts at 6 am so you can get on the road early. This was a half way point for us traveling from CT. to Myrtle Beach and from Myrtle Beach to CT. Also for me the first time I ever drove to S.C. myself. My dad always did in the past. So for my wife and I an experience we will treasure. Stopping in Fredricksburg at the Best Western made us feel very comfortable and safe. We plan on going back to S.C. and will not even think of another place in VA. to stay. Thank you so much.

We stopped at the Best Western overnight on our way to the Outer Banks. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the Motel was clean, updated and friendly. We stayed on the pool side and, while slightly less convenient for unpacking the car, we had no traffic noise. Kids did play in the pool until 9:30 or so - but all was quiet throughout the night. As an extra bonus, our room featured a lovely bench outside our room where my husband could enjoy a cigar.

this stay is an average place to stay and I would return again...Felt the exterior in the pool and ice machine area could use a good sudsy mopping.....really not big at staying at places that allow dogs...I like dogs, but am not a dog lover...I was worried when after arriving a barking dog and it's owners checked in....thank goodness they were placed out of sight of where I was and I didn't have to hear any barking.....amen!!!

This is a basic hotel configured old school style with room entry doors to the outside. Although the hotel is old itself, it has been refurbished although I'm not sure when. It was clean and neat although carpet in room was worn more than I prefer and did affect my cleanliness perception. Sorry...I guess I've gotten to be a bit of a snob. Breakfast was good and staff was courteous and on top of things.
