Very nice new hotel. Great price and very comfortable. Nice view and good location if you don't want to stay downtown. We arrived late and left early but if we were staying there longer, I would try and get a room facing the front of the hotel for the view.

Took leisurely trip clear across the entire U.S. And found this to be one of the top stays in over 30 days. It is a beautiful hotel atop a hill overlooking the valleys. The staff was superb in giving suggestions for dinner, directions, etc. The room was exception in cleanliness and spacious. After driving all day, needing a good place to stay and sleep is important....this is tops in all ways.

After an initially terrible booking experience, our actual stay at the hotel was very nice. I think it was still off season, so the hotel restaurant/bar was not staffed as much as it might have been, but we received good service overall. Parking for vehicles pulling a trailer is quite difficult, as the hotel is atop a LARGE hill and space is limited. If the hotel was booked, I don't know that we'd have been able to park there. Our room was lovely and very comfortable and the onsite staff was ver... Read more

The Hilton Garden Inn has The Hilton Garden Inn has been the best possible place to stay in Roanoke VA! My condo was flooded by the condo two floors up which had a major water leak. Ceilings, walls and floors are being removed and replaced. I have asthma, so my renters insurance wanted to put me into a hotel close to my condo for a month or two while repairs are being completed. From my first few minutes here at the Hilton, I have felt at home and welcome. The employees have all been amazing and... Read more

The Hilton Garden Inn is a beautiful hill top hotel. We had a wonderful time in Roanoke. Benefits of the Hilton Honors program has become a major factor in deciding were we stay. There were lots of restaurants, Tanglewood Mall and retail stores near the hotel. A Texas Roadhouse steakhouse has opened up within walking distance from the hotel.

The hotel is well placed to get to and from the Convention Center and Downtown Roanoke. But, it is far enough away to feel that you're not in the middle of everything. The facilities and service was great. The view of the city in the evening and at night is worth the stay. We'll gladly stay there again.

Hotel is behind the downtown area but convenient and near the mall, easy access to 591 and on top of a hill for a good view if you book a room on top floors that face the hotel. It lives up to Garden inn standards, which you will pay for breakfast but it is far better than the free ones you get at Hampton or anywhere else. Staff was prompt and room was similar to other Hilton's I have stayed at. If I come back to Roanoke, would be a place I would stay again.

Overall this was a nice hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff was friendly. The parking situation could be better and 24 hour room service would have been nice. There is a breakfast buffet available in the restaurant, but it would have been nice to have the option to order room service for breakfast.

we only stayed in this hotel as our hotel was cancelled due to it not being finished. We stayed 2 nights whilst doing the blue ridge parkway. What an amazing hotel, it's half way up a hill and the views from our bedroom were amazing. I emailed ahead and asked for a mountain view. The rooms were massive and super clean. The service in the hotel from check in to housekeeping is perfect. The pool and seating areas are immaculate. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I never stay anywhere that doesn't have a good review on Trip Advisor and this hotel showed that it was loved by travelers. I so want to give this hotel 5 stars. Staff's great, decor is great, room was big and clean. Everything's great...Except that the walls and floors are paper thin and I can hear every sound from above and next to me. Don't get me wrong, I expect to hear some noise. I'm saying I can hear every footstep above me and literally every word spoken next to me. Just not built well. Shame because, otherwise, this is easily a five star rating. Won't stay here again.

Hotel is nice. Great view but our group price was 216 and Expedia was 115 dollars. Our group said breakfast was better at IHOP. But I did not eat the breakfast. Rooms were clean. Pool looks small. They apparently treat the honors members better than the public.

Great location at top of mountain with great views. Room are clean and well furnished. Bed was extremely comfortable. Odd numbered rooms afford the best view. Real ultra modern lobby. Laundry on premise.Keurig coffee maker allows great coffee in room. We decided to take advantage of their cafe and lounge. Not impressed with value for money spent. It is convenient but plenty of restaurants nearby.

Nice, clean hotel. However they do not answer to local number at the front desk. It forwards to a reservation center. If my 85 year old husband, he could not have called the hotel for assistance. He said dinner at the hotel (by the way, the website never mentioned a restaurant) was good. I was a little surprised. Breakfast was over priced.

Do not stay at this hotel. Filthy ! They do not clean the rooms and do not change the sheets. Stayed one night to find bodily fluids of some previous guest. Their management is aware and takes no action. Thanks Gary Avoid this hotel

We planned a trip to visit our daughter at Roanoke College for Parents weekend and were looking for a nearby hotel. We've stayed at many Hilton Garden Inns so we knew we wouldn't be disappointed. The drive to the college was only 10 min which allowed us more time to spend with our daughter.

Loved the views of Roanoke and the mountains from this Hilton Garden Inn perched atop a hill! Thanks to Trip Advisor reviews, I knew to head up to the top floor to peak out the lounge for a great view - but then realized I had the same great view from my 3rd floor room! Breakfast was great, rooms were very clean and quiet, perfect for business travel, great staff and they take care of their honors members! Also awesome fitness room! More than just the basics!

This hotel was nice for us to stay at for a family wedding. We had 4 rooms. The staff in the restaurant area were very friendly and helpful since we had several children. The only thing that was bad was the leaking elevators because it was raining and the doors to the rooms were big, heavy and very loud. Someone could get hurt easily with the doors, we were worried about our grandchildren. It was a enjoyable stay!

After a long day's travel, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel and its staff made us feel welcome and the room was spacious and spotless. The breakfast selections and service are to be commended. A nice variety on dinner menu but food quality could have been a little better. GPS couldn't find location but Google Maps did.

The hotel was everything you'd expect a Hilton Garden Inn to be: spotlessly clean, comfortable and friendly receptionists. We had a room at the back and it was very quiet. The hotel is set up a steep slope and I'm not sure I'd like to drive up there if it was icy, but for a summer visit it was great. Very easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

My parents just moved into a community nearby and I need a "go to" hotel for my visits. I've already stayed here a couple of times and have been very pleased so this will be it. The rates are reasonable, the hotel is nearly brand new, the staff is friendly, and the view is fantastic if you get a west-facing room.

Thank you so much to the breakfast staff for making our little girl's day. She can be very damnding and put them to the test by asking for a smiley face pancake. They exceeded her requests all with smiles etc. Such a nice change of pace as we found VA in general to not be as welcoming to children as other places we have visited.

Room was fine but staff not so good. Reception was unable to explain Wifi procedure. Bar maid took my order and then served people who came in after me because she knew them. The breakfast room/restaurant is fine for breakfast but dinner felt like a school canteen. My steak was not great, the cook had a friend lounging in the kitchen who probably distracted him. Breakfast and breakfast staff were fine.

Nice rooms in general but pick carefully to have a valley view. The hotel was clean and service as expected. Appears relatively new. Because of a power outage in my room, minutes after checkin I had to move. The clerk was helpful and "upgraded" me to a suite (a room with a living room and bedroom). I wish I had not been upgraded. The living room had no window and was dark. The bedroom view was blocked by other rooms. It was an accessible room. I would avoid it. I was only staying one ... Read more

Given the noisiest hotel room in the world and not offered an alternative despite it being my birthday! Also they denied that I was a gold elite member and offered only an apology when they clearly knew what the room was like. Also one bed had not been cleaned. Do not take room 102!

Really nice hotel set on the top of a hill, with good views and above the traffic noise. Staff are really friendly and helpful and the service and food was very good ( I would have liked Biscuits and gravy for breakfast as an option). The pool was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfy and the rest of the room was clean and well maintained.

For what I paid, I was a little disappointed. The bed was not made well, and there was still trash. I paid for the premium tier internet, and it was quite slow and disconnected frequently. The breakfast was wonderful, and the breakfast crew was very wonderful and helpful. Best part of the stay here.

This Garden Inn is certainly up to Hilton standards and if we hadn't stayed at another Garden Inn the night before I would have given it a top rating. To give everyone there credit it was close to maximum capacity as there was a race the next day at the Martinsville track. There was one person who shined above anyone we have encountered on any trip in the recent past. Shauna checked us in, served us our drink ( which we took outside to watch the sunset over the mountains ) and then was also the ... Read more

I was very pleased by the welcome. Mimi was quite nice and I felt right at home. The departure was equally nice. Comfy bed and clean room made for a fine stay.

This was a nice hotel and most staff were friendly. A little pricier than some when you add on the $12 breakfast. The location is decent. The bed however was so horribly hard that I would never be able to stay here again. I like firmer beds but let's just say this one was so bad, the chair was a better option. We had to spend two nights here and it was the worst out of our 3-week trip.
