This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. It is very clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We find it to be quiet compared to the hotels in the busier area of Williston road. Even with the exchange rate (Canadian dollar is so low) it is still great value because of their reasonable rates. I had a billing issue this time that was quickly and efficiently resolved by the manager, Stacy Germond. We would definitely plan to stay there again.

We have always stayed at hotels in Portland, ME that were at least $40 higher a night than this, but I decided to experiment at a cheaper line that included breakfast. Having never stayed at a HHE, I was not sure what I would encounter. Check in was quick and done by a friendly employee. Our room was next to the elevator, but the room was very soundproof and we didn't hear it at all! The room was perfect - very clean, and looked like it had been recently remodeled. The entry area was done in a m... Read more

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel, staff, and amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful with my questions. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. They offer bath and body works toiletries which is always a nice touch. There even was a make-up removing disposable cloth to use! I was also pleasantly surprised and happy to see how handicap friendly the hotel is. There is a swing/chair to use to access the pool as well as aided help in the bathrooms. There is free wifi and... I stayed at this hotel during my first trip to Burlington, and after a very long drive I was happy to discover a very smooth check-in process. The front desk staff got my friend and I situated right away, and there were even free cookies and candy at the desk! We were able to get a cart for our multiple bags without any issues. The room was super clean and comfortable with two double beds. My friend and I were elated to discover the water closet/shower is separate from a second sink and mirror, ... Read more

Booked two nights. Light bulbs needed replacement in our room. Two sinks both significantly clogged. Two bathroom areas with one area barely li. Rug in room was disgusting. On the positive side, beds were comfortable and breakfast was good. Ice machines only located on two of four floors and quite away from most rooms. This is an old and outdated hotel that needs significant upgrades and renovation. It is not up to a Holiday Inn Express. Rate was fair for the area at $135 plus tax, but the exper... Read more

This is a nice place to stay. The Continental breakfast was great. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, rolls, pancakes, bagels, toast, fresh fruit, cold cereal. All in all a great breakfast. The place was clean, kept up nice, the 3 dings I have against them is lousy internet service kept kicking me off about every 5 minutes, the second is the lousy housekeeping service. We left our room at 9:00 am and came back at about 2:30 in the afternoon and the room still hadn't been made up. Nee... Read more

The Holiday Inn is a very pleasant place to stay. Check-in was quick and easy and our rooms were comfortable, large and clean. The breakfast area was well maintained and the choices for breakfast were good. The staff was pleasant and the location was central - close to highways and places of interest. Some reviewers thought the rooms look dated but mine, while certainly "hotelish" seemed up to date and not worn or tired looking.

This is an older hotel. Staff is friendly as one would expect. Everything is good just not great. Pool was clean but could use some updating. Bed was comfortable but again it's the little things. Headboard could use dusting and there was a blood stain on the blanket we noticed the next morning. Varied breakfast. Pancake maker was something new I'd never seen before. Person handling breakfast food I thought should have had gloves on when touching the food. I'm hoping they washed their hands regul... Read more

Starting with the poor signage outside and later with poor signage inside, I was skeptical almost from the beginning. But the desk staff were friendly and eager, so even when I had to come back for better directions to find my room I was still willing to be impressed. When the windows of my room opened on the AC units on the adjacent roof they bumped me to a suite which sounded great but the room was simply a very large room with a sofa facing a hutch in the middle of the room and a table an... I've been visiting at this hotel for the past few years and it has always been pretty good. On my last visit I had a room which had an unpleasant smell in it. The hot tub by the pool was lukewarm at best and also smelled bad and appeared unclean. I hope these problems aren't a sign of decline as this hotel has been my number one choice in the area.

First the good. Pleasant front desk staff, large rooms with good linens and a comfortable bed. The bad. The room and the entire hotel smelled musty, very confusing to access the different floors, breakfast items were not replenished. I should mentioned one feature we loved was the restaurant that shares the HI parking lot. Great daily specials and lovely staff. We sure to seek out Kay.

We had a few problems. First, when we went to investigate the pool to see if we wanted to go swimming, we found that the hot tub was just barely warmer than the pool. There was a family at the pool, and in the short time we were in the pool area, we were treated to someone holding the door open to the outside to smoke (no smoking allowed in the hotel), and also using the f-word. As a result, we didn't go back to the pool. The front desk clerk explained that they had contacted the service com... Read more

I would not be at all disappointed except that on arrival, and getting a room right outside the air conditioning machinery for the pool, they 'upgraded' us to a suite which was simply a very large room with a sofa smack in the middle and an armoire that had seen many better days, a 'kitchen' with poorly cleaned microwave and frig and a bathroom more suited to a Motel 6 in age and size and equipment. Room was clean, staff was exceptionally friendly and extremely helpful, breakfast was great and it was located close to Burlington and I-189.
