A little disappointed when after checking in I drove around to the back door, D entrance to find people working on a car. Car was on jack and a tire was off. Shower drain was slow. No complimentary breakfast.

Isn't the Holiday Inn supposed to be more upmarket than the Holiday Inn Express? The express versions were so much nicer than this place. The front desk staff were friendly but dishevelled. Shirt not tucked in with shared blazer over top or the next day no tie and skate shoes! The rooms were not sound proof and, while they were well vacuumed and the beds had good linen, there was a patina of grime on everything.

The lobby was welcoming, the indoor pool looked clean and inviting and the front desk staff were very accommodating. The bedding & bed were very comfortable and hotel was quiet. The bathroom was small but still well appointed. Yes this hotel is old, so the overall structure needs some TLC. But this hotel has it all, complete with a restaurant which was reasonably priced ( for a hotel) and quite good with nice service. The heat & AC worked fine in contrast to other reviewers comments.

Booked back in Jan, for me, my sister and my nephew for my nieces graduation. Was able to secure rooms and accommodate our weird schedule. Checking in diff days, diff duration and room setup. Booking was easy. Received confirmations and had nothing but awesome customer service from the front desk and reservation teams. Rooms were adequately appointed. Clean, comfy beds decent storage for clothes and bags. If coming for an event at UVM it is really close and convenient. Had a buffet breakfa... Read more

Hotel is very convenient to to highways and shops. Nice and clean appearance and rooms were nice also. It was quiet and cozy. Indoor pool was definitely nice and larger than average. The outdoor pool is nice as well. The gym was simple. Few machines but had a nice view of the pool so you could watch your kids if they are able to stay pseudo on their own. Breakfast want included. But wasn't too pricey and was decent.

Very convenient to the highway and downtown! There is an indoor and an outdoor pool, with a small fitness center! The rooms were quite and comfortable. I was there over a holiday weekend and there were some kids making a lot of noise join the hallway, but once in the room we could not hear them!

We stayed this week end at the Holiday Inn Burlington as we do most years for the Vermont Stars hockey tournament as this is a great place for a hockey team with the indoor and outdoor pools- this year the tournament was a couple of week early and the weather was not very nice. Usually we would have a year end BBQ at the property and the kids would swim in the outdoor pool, but this year we were unable too, so we moved the party for 45 indoors to the restaurant at 6:15 on Saturday night. As this... Read more

We needed a place in Burlington for my Daughter's orientation at UVM. Since there were 500 or so families coming into town for orientation, and it was the annual Jazz Fest, affordable rooms were difficult to find. I found the Holiday Inn to be a very good option. Our bed was very comfortable, it is close to UVM, and while not in the heart of Burlington, probably less than a mile ride or so. We also liked the bar in the hotel! The elevator smelled pretty bed and needed to be cleaned, and the... Read more

We checked in here in early Spring. We noticed the room seemed hot, but expected it to cool when we turned off the heat. We returned to 88 degrees. Mechanical staff said the only solution was to open the windows. That brought the temp down to 77 degrees where it stayed for the duration of our three night stay.In addition, the hotel is difficult to enter from I-89N. The good stuff: staff is friendly and helpful.

We've been to Harper's Restaurant several times and EVERY TIME, Andrew - our waiter - has been extremely courteous, helpful and overall one of the BEST servers in the greater Burlington area! Andrew goes above and beyond to ensure we have a delightful dining experience EACH AND EVERY TIME! Thank you!! - Andrew - for your attentiveness and professionalism!

Hotel shows its age and it wasn't a great nights sleep. Large compact refrigerator in room, articulated modern shower head provided above average experience. Loud AC, and some hallway noise. Good location relative to highway. Restaurant in lobby wasn't tried. Pool off lobby was indoors.

Perfect hotel if you do not want to spend the high prices in downtown Burlington VT. Me and my family make a yearly trip to Burlington for the 4th of July. This is the 1st year we have not stated right on the waterfront downtown... Just too expensive. The location of this holiday inn was perfect. Quick drive to downtown.. Quick to the Vermont teddy bear factory.. And all of the great breweries in the area. The hotel was clean. Pool was great. And a nice breakfast included in your stay. Highly re... Read more

The staff was perfect, went out of their way to offer suggestions for our visit to UVM. One front desk person had just graduated and was particularly helpful. The hotel is clean and what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. I was surprised at the close distance to the highway but did not hear it in the room. Beds were comfortable but the bathroom was tiny. It was a tight fit with the tub right up against the toilet. On the up side, shower was hot and there was great water pressure. Overall, thi... Read more

Everything was fine here. No problems, whatsoever. Not elegant, but hey, it's a Holiday Inn. They only thing I don't care for about this entire chain is, if you purchase from a 3rd party (like Travelocity, Orbitz, Expedia) they'll make no accommodations- even offering to pay extra. What's crazy is, I'm paying at the hotel, I can cancel with no penalty, so what's the big deal? I've never experienced this with any other hotel chain. This has only happened with stays at Holiday Inn. Also, coming up... Read more

The hotel is so old and lack of maintenance. Housekeeping is poorly done. See the photos attached. The bathroom mirror stains, toilet bowl stains and the bed skirts. The reception area looks gloomy even in sunny broad day light. My first room assigned smells of smoke though I was told there is a cleaning fee charged if you are caught smoking in the room. The replacement room though is free of smell is right opposite to the vending machine. It sounds like we are sleeping next to a Slot Machine in... Read more

Very nice hotel with a good pool and nice restaurant inside (we did not have dinner there but had lunch and breakfast several times). Not real close to downtown Burlington and wifi was next to useless in our room - hotel staff not much help there - but otherwise everyone was polite and helpful and I would definitely use this hotel again.

Decent hotel. Not the best location for downtown Burlington, but reasonably priced. Good location for airport. Restaurant prices could be a little better. Decent gym, if you get there when no one else is using it. Young man at front desk could enjoy his job a little better. Lady serving bar was great!

We stayed there on Saturday, August 6, 2016. The first room we were given was loaded with mold in the bathroom. And the ceiling metal bars that hold it together was rusted. The furniture was dusty and the bed skirt was torn...and did I mention that it smelled horrible! The young gentleman at the desk was nice about it and gave us a new room and a coupon for free breakfast/brunch. The second room had mold too, but my husband was so tired from driving and hungry, that he wouldn't let me complain ... Read more

I recently had the displeasure of staying in this hotel. I'll never stay there again. The reasons are numerous but the most glaring reason is that the front desk gave someone else the key to my room. Good thing, I think that I was in the room when an older couple started to enter my room. I was actually lying down and heard someone entering the room at which point I called out that there was someone already in the room. I also got up and met the startled couple at my door. Normally a really good hotel, but this time I was extremely disappointed. Both beds in my room were very lumpy and worn out. It was too late at night to really do anything about it though. Breakfast used to have a really good menu to choose from, now it is a pamphlet with a serving size that left me still hungry.

We stayed here to drop our daughter at school - it's less than half a mile from campus and right off I-89 so really convenient. We didn't stay long so we weren't as interested in the aesthetics. It's dated, but the rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. Not sure I would want to make this a 'destination' hotel, but it was fine for an overnight.

My husband and I almost always stay at Holiday Inn hotels as they are usually beautiful and very well maintained. We were looking to spend our anniversary in a nice hotel and booked the Burlington Holiday Inn without a second doubt. We had requested a higher floor and a room for 2 adults. Well, we got the 2nd floor out of 6 floors and it was only a double bed with only 2 towels. I like this hotel for its location near the airport and the interstate as well as UVM. I also liked the small fitness room, pool and the bar/restaurant in the hotel. I am an IHG gold member and accumulated enough points through my stays at Holiday Inns to earn a free night's stay. I have always found the staff responsive to my requests for extra pillows and a refrigerator. They also have in room service. However, overall, the cost of a stay now outweighs the benefits and I am looking to alter... Read more

By the time I realize that I need another day in Sherlburne Museum(separate review), it's too late and all Hilton properties in the area are booked, after all it's the beginning of the foliage season. So, I grab one of the two hotels still having space, and it's a Holiday Inn. I stayed in several Holiday Inn's this summer and was really impressed by how clean, spacious and new they all were. This Holiday Inn, however, is tired, old and run-down. The staff was very nice and the free breakfast was great, but the hotel badly needs updating. Our room smelled terribly of mold. The location is great, but there are lots of other hotels within blocks, so I would definitely pick another.

The room was standard-clean, comfortable beds, a refrigerator, and a clean bathroom. Could use some updating in the rooms (carpet could have looked better). This hotel is in a great location! The staff was polite and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was alright, pretty typical with no extras like a waffle maker or anything. The pool seems clean although the liner was badly crumpled all through it...so it looked gross on first look. There is a small hot tub too. If your just looking for a clean room for the night, no huge service, this would be fine.
