We stayed here the last week of April, the "off season". We were ok with that bcause we wanted a quiet, restful week. What we were not expecting was the poor quality of the condo we stayed in. When we entered the bldg, the smell was terrible! The hall smelled like garbage. We opened the door to our condo, and it would not open more than halfway. The flooring was raised and kept the door from opening all the way. The unit was not the quality we had experienced at other rci locations. Floors were ... Read more

However, Wyndham does a injustice, misleading owners that the property is year round. THERE IS NOTHING OPEN THE MONTH OF MAY. NOTHING. POINTS SHOULD BE REFUNDABLE, OR 50 PERCENT OFF. if you want nothing but peace, quiet, from life, May is the month to visit. Transition to the summer from winter takes place end of April to June. Hence everything must be done off site, expensive shopping, eating out.. Brewster s next door is great, burger barn is the best burger possible and convenient wh... Read more

First of all, you can't get there from here! I came up from the south and Vermont 108 was open - with all the warning signs - This would be a great road for a closed course Formula One race! Talk about hair pin turns - with hair brushes planted brush side down! You can come down from the north from Jeffersonville - the only way in the winter -but that is only great for people coming from Canada . My check in was fast and accurate. Oh how I love the off-season at ski resorts! We had a lovely week-long stay tucked into the Tamarack section of Smuggler's Notch. Quiet. Peaceful. Spotless unit with a nice, soft, new carpet, and new appliances. The on-site restaurants were all closed for spring cleaning, but we were within half an hour's drive of excellent breweries, wineries, distillaries, and awesome restaurants. We'll be back!

Okay so I know we went to Vermont in the off season...but boy were the hikes awesome! Happy we visited. Stayed at smuggs via a timeshare exchange. We paid an extra $200 to exchange...1st memo to point out: no free Internet! My timeshare always has FREE WiFi and I was using my timeshare plus paid an exchange rate and smuggs still charged for WiFi. Unsure why, it's already there. These are some of the nicest condo options I've stayed on a resort. I stayed in a two bedroom unit in Tamaracks. Excellent windows and decks that also provide privacy. The second bedrooms sleep four - that is really nice for bigger groups. Plenty to do at the resort like hiking, disc golf, pools, live entertainment, bonfires, and close to local attractions. The mountains are gorgeous.

We (two adults, two teens, one tween) stayed for two nights, and wished we had been able to stay longer. The pools are great, although I wish they all had snack bars. The condo we rented was lovely, but rather inconveniently located - we pretty much had to take the shuttle or drive to any activities. The shuttle was pretty convenient, but I would have preferred to have a closer unit, so we could walk. It was disappointing that we had to call maintenance the first night due to nasty mold spit... We would definitely return to the resort for the camps alone....our kids who generally don't love camp did not want to leave. The counselors and amenities/activities were fantastic....I can only imagine the ski school would be the same....we hope to get back to experience it. The employees I spoke to on the phone were super nice, and they got in touch with me right before our stay to confirm everything and get the guests' names. They even managed to get me an early check-in (super appreciated). When we got there, we only had time to get changed and head out for the rehea... Read more

Last year when we stayed here the tv reception was snowy. It was perfect this year. We had a great time, watching the leaves get a little more color each day. However, right away we noticed the carpet really needed shampooing. It was very stained. We had a 2-br for the two of us and several days after arriving I saw the 2nd bathroom overhead exhaust fan was filthy. Then I saw the living room paddle fans' blades were dirty on the edges. Otherwise everything was fine and I didn't complain b... Read more

Spent two nights here. Unlikely to go back. Pros: friendly staff, beautiful faliage; Cons: $15 for wi-fi per day, $5 to renew daily. Paying for wi-fi is quite abnormal these days already, but the registration process is unprecedented. You use a device to make the payment, and have to add all other devices manually by adding their MAC's. - Didn't even know what MAC was before this trip. Thanks for opening eyes. Breakfast at Grille on site was slow and the cost was not quite reasonable either.... Read more

Accommodations were more spacious and better appointed than I had expected. The resort is beautiful and there's lots to do there for kids and adults alike. Only downside was that certain facilities were closed for renovations. There is a massive new FunZone being built which meant that a lot of the inner "streets" were dirt-like. Other than that, I have only praise for the resort itself. Proximity to Stowe (via Smuggler's Notch Pass -- which is spectacular in this season) and Burlington are a ... Read more

Our timing was perfect and the leaves were at their peak while we were there! The resort was nice, but you can tell it's mainly a summer and winter resort. There are things closed in the fall that are open at other times of year (including the pizza place!) We ate at the more casual of the 2 available restaurants and the food was great. We traveled with our 4 year old and 8 month old and they attended Treasures for a day and seemed to have a great time after settling in. The main standout for me... Read more

Spent 4 days in the Presidential Reserve unit. 4 br/4ba, huge kitchen, massive living room. 2 master suites and 2 rooms w/ 2 double beds. Jacuzzi tubs, showers with dual heads. Great balcony with lots of chairs and a table. Fireplace on a timer - great way to warm up a chilly fall evening. Full sized washer/dryer. The views were spectacular. Catch this resort in the fall when the leaves are changing (we were there the third week of October). Plenty of space for plenty of people to stay.... Read more

Visited Smugglers for a "daycation" while in Stowe during the summer and were extremely disappointed with what they had to offer vs. what they claim to have on their website. They have the word "waterpark" in TWO LOCATIONS on their webpage but unfortunately they don't come close to being a waterpark by any stretch of the imagination. What they offer are multiple pool areas that were overcrowded, very little pool deck area, few to no lounge chairs, one body slide at one of the locations and one... Read more

Online I read multiple reviews on Smugglers Notch as a ski resort, ranging greatly. I'd first like to say that the place is not quite for everyone. There is no bustling base lodge, there aren't hundreds of dining options on the mountain, the chairlifts aren't the fastest, and the place doesn't have ALL the amenities that a modern ski resort like Stowe, Tremblant, or Whistler has (now please, if you've read up to this point, please continue until the end). This is all because Smugglers Notch is u... Read more

Came to Vermont for the fall colors at Smugglers Notch so have no comment on skiing or the water park. Our condo floor plan was comfortable & the kitchen well equipped for 4 adults. Housekeeping was very prompt when in need of additional supplies. The only down side was we found the pillows uncomfortable. You will want to stop at a grocery store before arriving but the onsite store had a much broader selection than anticipated.

We had a spacious room with a beautiful view. Overall, though, it was shabby: the decor, furniture and appliances were dated and very basic. Mostly the place was clean, except for the fake plants which had years of dust on them. The staff at the front desk were cheerful and pleasant but didn't seem to know much about the resort besides how to get to our room. The pool area and hot tub were great--very clean, very well staffed, also well stocked. Our experience was fine for the shoulder season ra... Read more

We have been to Smuggs the past 2 summers, a week-long vacation each year. It is beautiful up there, my 12 year old daughter loves the pools, slides, camps and we both love the activities like bingo, karoake, bonfire. The onsite restaurants are good too. Only problem I had was that the condo I had the second year was not as nice as the first one. I complained but felt like you get what you get.

We loved everything about smugglers' notch. The location, the accommodations and the resort - everything was superb! The condo was spacious and had everything we needed. And we were steps from the pool. The staff was helpful, thoughtful and accommodating. A great family trip!

We just got back from our first visit ever to this resort. The location was absolutely beautiful. The staff was friendly and welcoming. This is a Wyndham time share resort, however, much to our delight the staff was not at all pushy or tried to upsell. During this time of the year there's not a lot to do, which was fine for us as we were looking for a relaxing weekend. The indoor pool and hot tubs were excellent and all we needed. There's a store with just about any supplies you may need and a c... Read more

As may be noticed, this resort is made up of many different types of lodging. Timeshares, Condos private and resort lodging. We visited the last week of October, had a great three bedroom condo/timeshare trade. Checked in on Friday, had eight inches of snow Saturday night and rain for the rest of the week but really enjoyed our stay. The only real bummer is the $30 cost for internet access for the week (or $5 a day). Had only one bar of strength and even though the place was very empty, ver... Read more

This was our 4th visit to Smuggs. We love this resort during off season when it is quiet. This time we stayed up on West Hill in a 3 bedroom in Sycamore. There is an outdoor heated pool across the parking lot. Very convenient! There is still lots to do, visit Boyden Valley Winery, Rock Art Brewery, Smugglers Notch Distillery and local shops. It is not a far drive into Burlington where you can hit Church Street for some great shopping. The Notch Road was closed early this year so it wasa bit long... Read more

We fell in love with this area of Vermont after our RCI week at Smugglers and can't wait to go back! The resort is large with multiple condo complexes. While there is a family friendly main area, we wanted something a little more out of the way and quiet. The Sycamores section we were assigned is actually out of the resort proper and up a peaceful hill, and it was perfect! We had a huge 1 bedroom suite with a bathroom that was larger than our kitchen at home, complete with whirlpool bath and was... Read more

My wife and I and our daughter and her two friends spent a delightful Thanksgiving week at Smugglers' Notch resort this year. We stayed in a beautiful, large, well-appointed and super comfortable 2 bedroom/2 bath condominium through an RCI exchange. We were very pleased to see that our unit also had a large well designed kitchen, because we were preparing our Thanksgiving dinner in the condo. The kitchen appeared to have every kitchen accessory, gadget and utensil that one would need to prepa... Read more
