I really don't do reviews, especially negative ones. However, I was very disappointed by the hotel staff at SL City Center. My sister had reserved the room and when we arrived, she gave her credit card to the girl at the counter and she smugly informed her that her card was declined in front of other customers. As we didn't want to cause an issue, I then took care of the room so that she could call the bank and inquire as to the issue. Ultimately, there was no issue with the card and the rea... Read more

I am a Hilton Honors Member and am very pleased with the Brand. I stay at Hilton brands at every opportunity. This hotel was convenient to the Salt Palace. The room was very accommodating and clean. The housekeeping staff was attentive and perceptive, stocking my room with the items I used most. This will be my hotel of choice when i return to City Center.

If this hotel were a Super 8, or Motel 6 or similar class hotel, I'd given it a 4 - 5 star rating but not for this class of hotel. This is one of the worst Hiltons I've stayed, (I belong to several hotel rewards programs and am Gold level at more than one, including being Hilton Gold). My room: The refreshment cabinet had a mini-frig in it, a lamp and coffee maker on top, cups, ice bucket, etc. on the shelf. The cabinet is right in front of an outlet that the lamp is plugged into. I have stayed here for business and was very impressed by the quality of the property. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast is a little expensive but very good in the restaurant. The location is central to downtown and walking distance to several dining options. I will stay here every time I am in SLC.

For our business week in Salt Lake City to attend a conference at the Salt Lake Convention Center, just two blocks away, this Hilton rates a top-tier grade for room comfort, brunch, and for providing excellent information regarding local sites, restaurants, and easy ways to get around town. The staff personnel, while always expected to be good at Hiltons, where themselves, excellent. Our state could not have been better.

We had such great service at this Hilton for two nights. We would highly recommend! The staff was very helpful and there were so many walkable, fun activities close to the hotel. For being a downtown location, the room was very quiet and spotlessly clean.

Standard quality Hilton in a great location. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Nice workout rooms. Just 2 blocks from a 2.50 light rail ride to the airport. Clean, fairly expansive lobby and multiple large conference rooms. Ideal for business meetings. Stayed here many times and I'm sure I'll be back.

We checked in for one night as part of an organized tour. Got a great room on the 17th floor. Very comfortable and clean. Location is close (walking distance) to several nice breweries and restaurants so that was a plus as we were hungry, and the concierge provided us with a marked map of the area. Breakfast buffet was fabulous and included a made to order omelet station and belgian waffle station. Servers were fantastic!

This hotel has excellent service and amenities. It is walking distance to the convention center and to any number of good restaurants which include varied cuisine choices and price ranges. Also, at least our room had a really, REALLY good shower. We were attending a convention and the staff handled all the people with efficiency and good humor. I didn't hear ANYone complain about the service there.

Really frustrated by this hotel. As a Holton Honours member who stays regularly at their hotels it was very frustrating to be subject to so many additional charges; $1.50 for a small water in the room, $15 parking per day and $9.99 wifi per day. The only saving grace for this hotel was the pool but having looked around Salt Lake city there are better hotels with better rates that include all of the above free of charge

Great place. Lots of amenities, although the food on premises is a bit expensive. I had some students with me who regularly did not know how to act in a nice hotel, or any hotel, and the hotel was consistently accommodating, longsuffering, and polite. It would have been nice if the cleaning staff knew what they were doing a bit more ("This is my first time doing this.") and if we didn't have to ask for replacement shampoo and conditioner the week we were there.

Checked in on Wednesday and out Sunday morning. Express checkout was very convenient as I had a very early flight. Uber was convenient to and from the airport. Trax Station was one block over and made it easy to hit Smith's Market for supplies for the week. Great proximity to the Salt Palace Convention Center - the reason for my visit. This was a good size clean room with a queen bed. The bedding was firm but comfortable, it would have been better if there were some extra pillows in the room. The bathroom was an average size but with a larger sink bench, good for holding all your travel toiletries. The shower head was suitable for taller people. There is free wifi and coffee/tea making facilities. There were no extras in the room but it was suitable for our short stay.

This is a rather good Hilton with all the big-city Hilton extras including Executive Lounge. We stayed here for a family vacation. Our room was up on the 18th floor. We could walk easily to Temple Square and I ran up around the capital building for my morning jog. The indoor pool was nice and surprisingly unused for the size of the hotel. The fitness center was attached to the pool. The cardio room was one of the nicer ones at a hotel. We were on a Caravan Tour and this hotel was their choice. The hotel is clean, maintained and is in the city center. Our Tour had our last nights dinner together in a private dinning room and the food was excellent. The breakfast the next morning was also outstanding. Our room was large, our beds were very comfortable and we rested well. I would return.

Easy parking in the garage ($16), easy and friendly check-in, fast elevators, and a very nice room. The room has everything I look for, clean, well kept, comfortable, good wifi, furniture showing very little wear, and a spacious bathroom. Definitely a great place to stay when in Salt Lake.

The room was large, clean and quiet. Located downtown near everything. Very comfortable bed. Liked the view from our room of downtown. Nice restaurant on the premises. Great valet service. Only minor complaint- the bellhop seemed to double as a 'concierge'. He wasn't old enough to drink, therefore had no personal experience with the nearby brewpubs. Would definitely stay here again.

There are three things I look for in a hotel -- 1) cleanliness 2) comfort 3) location. The Hilton Salt Lake City Center received a positive check mark for all three! No, it's not the newest or fanciest in town, but it is clean. The air conditioner and hot water worked, and the bed was really comfortable. The room wasn't overly spacious, but it was adequate and quiet. The bathroom could use some updating (specifically the tub/shower) but the vanity was huge. It is conveniently located (wi... Read more

I arrived 5 hours before normal check in time and the staff were able to get me a room within the hour. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and rooms clean. The toiletries were good quality. Pool, hot tub and fitness center are easily accessible and good size. The fridge wasn't plugged in when we arrived and then was so cold that it froze my items. Temperature control in the room was very good and the room was quiet with no outside noise penetration.

The staff at this hotel are extremely helpful and friendly. From the bell staff to the front desk to housekeeping...all greeted me with a smile. I was there for a conference, and the food (except for breakfast and pastries) was horrible. We were served salmon and chicken for out banquet, and the chicken was seasoned with an odd spice. I think it was nutmeg, but whatever it was it overpowered the dish. For our luncheon we were served tasty roast beef, but just 3 tiny slices, most of which was fa... Read more

The location is pretty central and the Hotel enjoys all of the good things that come with being a Hilton. Wi Fi was free if your a frequent Hilton user, breakfasts were included in our rate and good value. The room was spacious and well presented and the staff trained to provide a generally high level of service. Overall we got Hilton value for money. Dealing with problem... Read more

This hotel is conveniently located to the Salt Lake City Convention Centre. City Creek Mall is within walking distance & is steps away from an Olive Garden restaurant! The hotel also has two restaurants in it. The staff was great, rooms were clean, internet service was good, and the staff went above and beyond to solve any problems we had. ie: needed more towels, more hangers, needed a fan in the room - can't sleep without one!
