My wife and I have stayed here on several occasions as a "couple getaway" weekend and we've always enjoyed ourselves. The rooms are large and spacious and we enjoy the fact that the bedroom is separate from the "living" area. We were greeted with warm cookies and were quickly on our way to our room. Since my wife and I like to "do nothing" on these get aways, we can't really comment on things like the room service or other amenities. However, I did use the exercise room for a bit, and it ... This is an old Embassy Suites converted into a DoubleTree. Nice large rooms. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. This was my second stay at this hotel and I will go back again next time. Hotel has been remolded and the rooms all redone. Nice facilities. Has a good breakfast but an even better bar for after work. I ate dinner in there two nights and watched the large flat screens. Real good bar food. You can also order from the main menu if you wish. Highly recommended.

I was not happy with my stay at this location. I never complain but feel it is necessary that I am vocal about this stay as we visit salt lake very often. We stayed 6 nights and our room was only services 3 out of the 6 days. We left late morning normally because we have three young children and I would mention to the staff that we needed our room serviced. Sometimes it would get serviced, sometimes not. Every day around nap time there was drilling and construction work being done that was so ... Read more

I am a Hilton Honors member and have been for many years. I obviously prefer Hilton properties exclusively and usually enjoy Doubletree's. Until this week. The Doubletree's Suites in Salt Lake was a huge disappointment. From the single-ply, gas station quality toilet paper, the jerryrigged iron and the fact they shut down the water to the entire property in the middle of the afternoon, this property had none of the Hilton touch that I've grown accustomed to. The room was clean enough, but the h... Read more

Stayed here while passing through. The rooms are huge and very clean & comfortable. Great staff & service. The gentleman working the night shift on 6/19 should be rewarded for how friendly and helpful he is. It was my first time in the city and he made me feel welcome and not only gave me a great impression of your hotel but also your city. Just by simply asking "is there anything I can do to make your stay the best it can be" and genuinely meaning it makes such a difference. Thanks for the grea... Read more

We were here for 8 nights for the a work week. The room is very large and gave us plenty of room to spread out. There is no door between the sitting area and bedroom. It means therefore means when one person is up everyone is up. The beds were comfortable and the front desk was helpful at checkin. I was there with students and they were very kind to give my students cookies on several nights. My only complaints are the room did not get cleaned every day and we were told we needed to check ... My sister was having a heart pump installed at University Hospital so I spent most of my time there. (My visit was 6/14-6/17/2016). Thursday at 11pm I returned to my room with clean sheets (supposedly). The sheets were stained and my coffee was not replenished (my mess was still there). The coffee was brought up and mess cleaned up. They brought clean sheets and said "here". I had to make my own bed at 11:30pm!! Problem was noted and resolved the next day, I received a medical discount. they coo... Read more

Arrived just before midnight after a wonderful rail trip from Denver. Good welcome at reception and a free cookie each. Our room was excellent with loads of space, although there were no facilities to make a cup of tea. Breakfast was available as a buffet for just over $17. We were shown to our table and an order was taken for tea. We waited. Another server turned up and we explained that we had ordered tea but it had yet to arrive. She duly went off to get some and we headed for the buffet. ... Read more

Great amount of room for family of five. Pull-out sofa for the fifth child. Did not try the breakfast, would recommend the Pig and Jelly Jar. Staff was helpful and accommodating. Areas of improvement include updating carpet, more parking for oversized vehicles ( or at least reserving the over sized parking spots for oversized vehicles. Both nights mid-sized cars occupied the spots for oversized vehicles).

Over all the the hotel was okay. The front desk staff was extremely helpful. There was a stain on the rug in room. The water in the shower was extremely slow to drain, which the fixed promptly once we notified them, Breakfast in the restaurant was hit or miss. The first morning everything was great, the second morning they tried to seat us at a dirty table, twice. The second table she just walked away and I had to ask someone to clean the table. Thankfully it was a buffet because no one ever ... Read more

Not sure about other reviews, but my stay was perfect in every way. Ample towels. Lovely, large suite (all for very low price on the weekend). Great service with calls to the front desk. A little further from central down town than you may want, but just a few blocks. Honestly, a great experience.

Beautiful hotel! We enjoyed our stay. Our favorite part? The warm cookies!!!! I tried finding them online :( so good. The staff was friendly and professional. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. Later, we took a dip in the pool, but wish it could have been bigger. I was in the hot tub while my boyfriend was in the pool and four men entered the hot tub while I was still in there...The water started to overflow and It was just plain awkward.. haha Good for a weekend get away.

Fantastic experience. I go to a lot of hotels and this has to be the best experience that I can remember. We were amazed the entire stay: we could not believe how great our experience was! From the airport pickup, to the nice room, to the breakfast, it was fantastic! I would absolutely stay here again. Heck, I would travel to Salt Lake City just to stay here again ;)

Warm cookie at check-in but charged an additional $26 to check in 2 hours early (check-in is at 12pm). Got a nice corner room on the 4th floor with a view of the front facing the mountains. Looks like a Embassy Suites the way the hotel is laid out. Rooms come with a living room and separate bedroom. Unfortunately only hilton honors guests on levels 7-9 get a microwave/mini fridge. The room was clean and modern. Some stains on the carpet which wasnt too much of a big deal. Might be a bigger is... Read more

We enjoyed the hotel and were impressed by he welcome at the reception. In addition we loved the suite we were in. The rooms were clean and bed comfortable. Really impressed. The location is very central and took 15 minutes walk to the main shopping areas and temples if you plan to visit. The gym is small but we enjoyed using what was there. The only negative is the restaurant. We attempted to use the restaurant but it was simply awful both service and food. There is a free shuttle to go to oth... Read more

After a lot of research, I rented the Presidential Suite for my husband's birthday. We're a fan of the Doubletree brand (except the one in Park City...trust me) so it seemed like the best option. We got to the hotel right at check-in and were informed that our room wasn't ready. We had all of our bags and food, but planned on getting coffee anyway, so we said it wasn't a big issue. The hotel manager was at the front and apologized profusely, but we said it was ok, took our bags back to the car, ... Read more

Looking for the best at an excellent price point, this Doubletree is it. Very clean, friendly staff, great cocktail lounge for relaxation and fast internet service. Centrally located to other parts of the area. Many freeways to get you to your local destinations with little inconvenience.

This facility has transitioned from an Embassy Suites to a Doubletree Suites Old and run down? I hardly think so! Exceptional value? Yes. I know we all have our opinions but my opinion of this hotel is excellent. There are new beds, new televisions, fresh paint, and other touches to continually refresh this hotel. The lobby is currently undergoing modifications to elmininate the Embassy feel. I was HUGELY impressed with front desk manager Anthony and front desk clerk Geoffrey. I contact... Read more

I enjoyed my stay downtown DoubleTree. It was close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel was clean; the staff friendly. I do recommend staying on the higher floors on the North side. They are quiet and away from busy streets. I highly recommend the room service menu. We tried 3 different meals and they did not disappoint. As for the conference, they know how to take care of the guests--fruit, veggies, water--always available on breaks. Great stay.

Decided to rest a night before arriving at Yellowstone National Park. This Hotel is located right off the freeway in beautiful downtown Salt Lake City. We had a wonderful view of downtown and the suite was roomy and clean! My boys love the cookies and Hilton breakfasts never disappoint. Next time we will stay an extra night!

This was my first visit with this hotel, but not the last. I found the staff service to be the BEST I have ever had in a hotel. They were always cheerful, and asked if there was anything else I needed. When I first arrived my room had recently had carpet cleaning done, and with my lung issues the smells did not agree with me. I was cheerfully given another room, and an employee helped me move my things. The restaurant also had great service; I ate dinner and breakfast there.

The room smelled a little musty upon arrival but it reminds me of an old embassy suite hotel (suite rooms, open foyer, indoor hot tub and pool, restaurant, and bar), the location is great for a short walk to downtown. The lobby restaurant was great food for lunch.
