While I like my room cooler than most, I never could get the room to a temperature comfortable for sleeping. The Maintenance person told me to drop the thermostat down to 60 and opened vents, but it still didn't help. The restaurant staff was trying to drive everyone to the breakfast buffet and at one point when asked for syrup for a waffle, pointed to where we could get up and go get it ourselves.

I stayed here during the last week of April for a conference at the Grand America Hotel about a block away. When I arrived, management came out to greet me and actually carried my bags to my room once I checked in. I've never had that happen before. Can't complain about that level of service! The Doubletree is a converted Embassy Suites and you can tell by its design where each floor consists of a collection of suites that completely encircle that level. If you've ever stayed at an Embassy Su... Read more

This Doubletree, which I think is a recycled Embassy Suites is a good not great hotel. Front desk was efficient, room was clean and comfortable. My only objection was the fact that the lounge charged $12 for a standard cocktail. That's Ritz Carlton pricing not Hilton/Doubletree.

Good value for dollar. Huge rooms. Good location. Used this as a hotel before early AM flight, I would definitely recommend to friends and I would definitely stay there again. Parking was a bit of an issue which is only downside. I was double charged. About to call and try to get it corrected though.

We visited this hotel as a family, but I was stating for work. The rooms are large and clean and have everything a family needs for comfort. This used to be an embassy suites so having two separate rooms is great. The breakfast is great and they serve dinner as well which is excellent but a little pricey with a family. The staff are very courteous and helpful. Great location too!

Overall a good experience with this hotel. We got warm cookies when we checked in that were so delightful! The shuttle driver (John may be his name) deserves kudos. He was so friendly during our stay. Super friendly while driving my friend from the airport to the hotel, and he always said hi to us when we were downstairs, and he even offered us free water at the front desk when we were checking in. I was expecting a DoubleTree, but this is basically a re-branded Embassy Suites. And that's a huge plus. The suites have so much room with the extra seating area in its own room. That really makes a long stay so much more enjoyable. The AC didn't work as well as I'd hoped, but it was still enough to keep me happy. Salt Lake City is ok, there is not loads to see but you can spend a day there on route to Death Valley. This hotel is perfectly situated and the rooms high quality. Overall value of the hotel was excellent, but only exceeded by the friendliness of staff and the constant demonstration of excellent customer service from cleaning staff to front desk staff. Top marks all round!

The only positives that I can think of are: it is in a convenient location and the room was clean. The carpeting needs to be replaced. The pillows were super flat. It was a king suite but the bathroom was tiny. The room temperature constantly fluctuated from freezing to uncomfortably hot. There was a bedspread but no sheet which was a horrible combination with the fluctuating room temperature. The customer service was average. Inviting hotel with large rooms and nice amenities. Very comfortable all suite rooms with separate bedroom and living room make this hotel a great place to stay with kids of just adults. Great common area in the center of the hotel with space to meet and greet, nice restaurant, pool and bar. Staff were helpful and friendly. Prices were reasonable.

our was fine claimed they have trailer parking referred us to park on street, street signs NO PARKING, said if we got a ticket they would pay. They hotel next door was kind enough to let us park our truck and cargo trailer in their parking lot. Room was not cleaned the whole time of our stay Sun-Thurs. Housekeeping would come in every morning before 9am wake my daughter up that was sleeping on couch, then they would put the do not disturb sign on the door.

This is the perfect place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The place is clean, quiet and most accommodating to any needs. Perfect for us. We enjoyed a 2 room suite so I could be up early and not wake hubby. We requested extra coffee pods and they were provided without hesitation - along with a couple of extra cookies. They also have a nice restaurant which is perfect after a long day of driving. Well worth it.
