The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately the fan in the room was very loud. The shower was pointed at the wall and not able to move it. There was also a tile in the bathroom that was coming up. Kind of feel like it could use a deep clean. The price was good and I'd probably stay again if I have to come back and need to stay in this area. But I'd rather find another place that's cleaner.

I was so pleasantly delighted with my entire experience here! I was greeted warmly at Check In and enjoyed a quiet, clean& very comfortable room. The breakfast that was included in my room price was consistently fresh and the Belgium waffles are a don't miss treat! I was absolutely stunned in the most delightful way by the lovely people that kept my room immaculate and greeted me throughout the day with a rare joy & honest feeling that I was truly appreciated...SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO MISS MAREE.... This hotel is centrally located, has free parking and is in the 'Free Zone' of the UTA Rail TRAX. It's very close to the Interstate and situated on a busy one way street. Our room fortunately was in the back. It was roomy, clean and relatively quiet. Check-in was professional and friendly, we were let in our room early which is always a plus. The bed was very comfy and the room had the usual fridge and micro. Breakfast was the typical fare for Comfort but the room was situated on the second ... Read more

Evening buffet and breakfast were terrible. Don't even bother..low class and served poorly. Couldn't find cheaper food even a school lunch program would not have served the junk. No shower curtain in the room and room and plumbing in general disrepair. I grew up in SLC and the parking lot is situated to be dark and lonely not a good set up as it is bordered by seedy motel parking lots on all sides. Bottom line ICK and not a bargain.

While driving home from Arizona we had had a bit of car trouble so we ended up needing to stay overnight in Salt Lake City. My wife had stayed here before and said that it was a good place to go to. From the time that we checked in everything was great. The staff was wonderful. I went to get an ice cream bar out of their cooler and the front desk gal gave me one free for my kids. They were happy to receive it. The room was spacious for us. The beds were comfortable. We slept well and let the str... Read more

The staff is gracious & efficient, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are pristine, the water is plentiful & the showers run hot, the pool is nice, breakfast is excellent & the location is convenient. Did I mention that the price was very fair. We highly recommend this hotel to those traveling.

The staff at Comfort Inn were really nice and helpful. If you're looking for somewhere that is comfortable, spacious & clean, this is a great place to go. The room was large and had lovely big windows that let in lots of light! An alright breakfast is provided and it is in a great location with plenty to see, do and eat nearby. It was a little expensive (for me, I'm travelling on a tight budget), but that's just a downside of travelling in summer.

I will preface this by saying this is, indeed, a Comfort Inn. If you're looking for a super fancy hotel, look somewhere else. But as far as Comfort Inns go (or budget hotels in general) I was pleasantly surprised at just how pleasant my stay was. When I checked in, I got a little goodie bag with a water bottle and a snack, for being a Choice Hotels rewards program member (I highly recommend joining, by the way, as you can get a really nice room rate). Another pleasant surprise was the manager's ... Read more

The room is spacious and tidy. The bed is very comfortable. Even though it is not right in the middle of the down town, it can easily be reached by free tram. Most importantly, they provided complimentary breakfast and airport transfer. The staff are nice. They do look after the needs of travelers. Will stay there again.

This is an older facility in ned of some updating. The location is good for going downtown and since it's only two stories it was easy to get to the car for loading and unloading. There is a guest computer and printer in the lobby but the printer was out of ink and had been out several days. The bathtub needed to be replaced and the carpet needed to be cleaned. The window in the bedroom opened (with difficulty) but there was no screen. It looked like all the windows in the hotel needed to be was... Read more

We checked in about 4:30, tired from a full day of driving. We were invited to a social hour at the hotel and were expecting caffeine free soft drinks, this being Downtown Salt Lake. What we found was a very nice wine and beer happy hour with a nice little spread: vegetable tray, pulled pork BBQ, dips--very nice. Our room was quite roomy and extremely well cleaned. The front desk helped me figure out the free train system nearby, saving me parking costs. Breakfast was also very good! We wil... Read more

My overall stay was fine but the young lady that checked me in. I believe her name was Tatiana was very rude. I was a distressed passenger from delta due to delayed flight. I was originally assigned 338 but it was the last room on the floor next to the stair exits . I am a 4'9 female so I felt uncomfortable being all the way in the end all alone. I called down as soon as I got to the room and asked if they had any rooms closer to the elevator as I felt uncomfortable . The agent told me she can... Read more

upon arriving in my room i found it pitch black with curtains drawn. When i opened the curtains i was looking down at a trash area from the hotel in the alley. The sheer curtains were shredded. I used the toilet, and it didn't flush. When i called to get someone to fix it, i asked if they had a room i could move to that had a desk. He said that was a lot more expensive and acted irritated. Since the room price was inflated for what i got, i kept the room. Location was not within close pro... Read more

I've stayed in many Comfort Inns and been very satisfied, but NOT this one in Downtown Salt Lake City. And I'm not to hard to please. Upon our late arrival in the wee morning hours, (too exhausted to go back to the front desk and ask for another room) we were given a room (room 154) with exterior entrance (Motel like, not Hotel) that was handicap accessible and had no doors in the bathroom, so no privacy. The air handler was very loud and the on/auto switch inoperable so sleeping was very diffic... Read more

Didn't quite live up to all my other comfort inn stays. A little old and outdated, the cooler in the room made so much noise you could hardly sleep, when you walked across the floor, you could hear the window shake.

Great location in relation to Mormon Square. Free street car a few blocks away to take you to downtown Parking lot full at night as shared with other hotels so don't get back late. Hired guard watched over parking lot at night with huge powerful lights 2 queen beds, microwave , refrigerator with no freezer so had to have management put our blue ice in special freezer Huge 4 to 5 lane street outside window--a hazard when taking car in and out. We were there on a weekend so noise not a problem. ... Read more

The rates double during retail convention week....$150/night to $295/night and for a old un-renovated hotel with loud a/c and international visitors arriving at 3;00 a.m. it would be wise to change your dates around this time of year. This city block has older properties and the lot next door is a transient hangout.

This hotel met our needs perfectly. The free shuttle from the airport was great -- although it is best to make sure you check in at the desk by the baggage claim to let them know you are waiting for the shuttle. The beds were comfy, breakfast was good (your typical hotel free breakfast) and the front desk staff was really helpful. What made this hotel really great, though, was its location it is only two blocks from the free tram that will take you to downtown SLC. Perfect!!! Overall, a good ... Read more

Sitting in the room trying to watch TV and only a few channels were available. Notified the front desk who sent maintenance to help. Maintenance said there was nothing he could do because management was in a dispute with Direct TV and the hotel was not being provided 100% of the channel service. Very disappointing stay. Additionally, the TV remote did not work very well and maintenance did not have a replacement. If you want to watch TV, do not pick this hotel.

Made reservations a year in advance at Comfort Inn Downtown Salt Lake City. You gave our rooms away. Four travelers from Michigan having to find somewhere else to stay at midnight when the LARGEST CONVENTION EVER is starting tomorrow. Our trip cost just doubled. Originally arriving Tuesday but revised it to Wednesday a couple of months ago. Other room, she called on SUNDAY! Room is supposed to be available until 7am the next morning.

A colleague and I spent a Sunday night at the Comfort Inn Downtown in mid-September 2016. The motel is relatively near the airport. It's about a 20-minute walk from the Temple area, and two blocks from the light rail system, so we didn't have to worry about where to park our car when we visited the Temple area for a tour. We were pleasantly surprised to have an extra room attached to ours which contained a refrigerator and microwave. More attention could have been paid by the staff to the ch... Read more

Super little very good priced hotel a few minutes walk from downtown. Dawn the check in lass was great, friendly and gave us a few helpful tips. Manager has a "social" a few nights a week from 5.30 to 7.00 pm. A bit of nice food and a couple of beers or wines. A really nice gesture. Breakfast was better than I expected and free too. Good size room with all the bits. My only negative was that the carpet in the room could be better.

I deleted my original review because I didn't think the manager actually would respond and I can't make additional comments. I made a reservation a year in advance at your hotel. This would have been my THIRD time staying with you. Four travelers from Michigan were turned away because you gave our room away. You ran a pre-authorization on my CC, which it says NO WHERE IN MY EMAIL RESERVATION that you will do this. I had also reconfirmed this reservation a couple months earlier when I changed my ... This hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Salt Lake City and offers the usual amenities of large hotel chains: ample and free parking, free toiletries, wifi, and free breakfast. The cleanliness of the room, however, was barely adequate, and the mattress was too soft for my tastes. Time to get rid of the stained wall-to-wall carpeting, and to replace it with a floor easier to clean. The hotel staff was extremely polite and efficient.

this hotel is at a nice spot, approx. 5 blocks south of the convention center and 1-2 blocks away from a metro train stop. I stayed there for 4 nights and enjoyed breakfast every morning. it has typical hotel breakfast foods like toast, bagels, pastries, yogurt and a waffle maker. plus it had a hot egg (either scrambled eggs or warmed up premade cheese omelets) and a breakfast meat (bacon or sausage links).
