The beds are comfortable, the rooms quiet. I paid the modest extra fee to book the bed and breakfast rate, and the kids were extremely pleased. They vow never to stay at a hotel with continental breakfast again. My only complaints are these: First, one kid forgot a toothbrush. Most hotels have those crummy complimentary toothbrushes. This Hilton Garden Inn did not - I had to pay a dollar (not a big deal, but still) for a crummy travel toothbrush. Second, I needed some change for a tip, and... Read more

Overall its a pretty good hotel. they do appear to be doing some cost cutting though (IE the restaurant now has cocktail napkins instead of linen...salt and pepper shakers on half the tables,,,could use a more diversified offering for the restaurant room service menu (its all strictly kind of high end...need more "everyday" food type offerings)...the eggs in the buffet were very watery).

Was here on business with a coworker. I was in 240 and my coworker was in 243. 240 was a mess. There was mold all over the shower tile. The thermostat did not properly work. Trash was sticking out from under the bed, and the housekeeping staff came in my room regardless of my putting a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. Also, my key card did not work. Had to reset it. When I reset the card, I complained about all of these issues. I was told the DND card often falls off the door, yet when I returne... Read more

Stayed three nights. Fantastic location with all the new business development, movie theaters, restaurants, espresso shop, pub. Newer two year old hotel. Lots of upsides but downsides make this a 3.5 on 10 pt scale. Downsides are: bed was way too firm mattress, all pillows to soft, stayed in room 346 that is along Washington Blvd-DO NOT LET THEM BOOK you on this side (Washington Blvd) due to LOTS of street noise until 3 AM. Garage is covered but always was 5-10 spaces short.

Great location, lots of restaurants and activities to walk to. We walked across the street for lunch and dinner, it sits in a safe, nice little shopping area, with a movie theater, restaurants and activity center near by. The kids can safely walk over to a giant arcade with bowling and flo rider surfing. Super fun, would stay here again!

I booked the Hilton as I got a good deal online and wanted to be close to Salt Lake City without paying Salt Lake City prices for more than one night. Hiltons are always an excellent standard but I would go as far to say this is one of the best I have experienced. I'm not sure when the hotel was built but it felt brand new. Not so great experience, wouldn't go back. During Check in the staff was aloof. Room itself was fine, clean, no issues. My family was tired because we drove 12 hours and this was a stopping point on our way north. Have stayed at HGIs (especially in LaJolla CA) several times before and always had great experiences so we expected the same. Not so much. I was celebrating my anniversary with my wife of 16 years and we were excited to return to this hotel. Upon our arrival, we found the corridor carpeting unstretched and looking unmaintained, the bathroom wallpaper damaged in various places with broad scuffs (someone must have had a big night there prior to us) and a large stain on the armchair. The hotel overall is clean and the more tenured staff are knowledgeable and helpful. I wouldn't count on the dining services if you arrive late or if you're stay is more than 2 nights, your meal options are limited as the menu is limited and over priced for the area. The bar requires that you purchase a food entree (no bar meal snacks available) if you would like more than one glass of wine or beer so don't plan on stopping if you want a simple night cap to end your day or just want to decompr... This must be a very old hotel. We only stayed one night because it was the halfway point to our destination. Parking was awkward. You can park on the street in front of the hotel because they only check the 2 hour parking from 9am to 9pm. The hotel itself is poorly laid out. My eighty-two year old mother and I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Ogden, Utah for the night of Friday, June 3rd, 2016. Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Ogden was a disappointment. We had been on the road for more than two weeks when we stayed at the Garden Inn. The room was as expected for a Hilton Garden Inn. The free cookies were terrible --- dry with fake flavoring. They did not seem to be paying attention to green practices --- no recycling bins in the rooms or visible in the halls or lobby. Coffee maker in the room produced plastic waste and the coffee cups were paper. The toiletries were provided in small plastic containers creating more waste. We did not purchase food so I can't comment on their food service green practices.
