I do the Ogden Marathon every year and this is the best place to stay - close to the bus loading and finish lines. Across the street is a new area with restaurants and movie theatres. The hotel has been remodeled and the rooms are VERY nice. Free parking and wifi.

We enjoyed this hotel in downtown Odgen, UT. It was within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Check out the marble staircase going all the way to the top floor! Although the building is historic, the rooms were very tasteful and newly decorated. I was traveling with my daughter across the country after her graduation, and this hotel was a great rest stop.

The rooms and amenities are nice. The staff was friendly. The free continental breakfast was nice. The doors of the hotel lock at 10 pm and dont unlock till 6 am, so you have to be back to the hotel by 10 pm since it's downtown Ogden and they lock the doors to keep the hotel secure.

It was a usual great stay with Hampton inn's. I had a difficult time finding it downtown for there is no visible markings. My only concern is the open garage parking, I felt it was too accessible to the public which made me feel uncomfortable. Staff assured me of the safety and cameras in place.

This historic downtown building had a major facelift and looks great. Handsome lobby, cookies and beverages to welcome guests. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The bed super comfy, reliable WiFi, excellent breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good restaurants within a short walk. The exceptions - noise and parking. Parking is in a garage all the way around the block. Valet parking is available, but if you want to do some "in and outs" or forget something in the car, it is ver... Read more

We were immediately greeted by the front desk manager and promptly given everything for our room and parking. Everyone on the staff was excellent. Very clean and comfortable bed. Staff was great. We had problems with parking our car , she solved our problem immediately. The price of the room per night is competitive. Parking the car, if you have wide car is a bit challenging since the parking garage is small and narrow . Overall the hotel itself is exellent. Breakfast was very good quality also.

The rooms at this hotel are great! They are comfortable and clean and I enjoy staying at this hotel. However, the parking situation is nearly enough to make me choose a different property. Yes, valet parking is available for $12 p/day...its worth it! But you will still find yourself standing on the side of the street unloading your vehicle into traffic. This isn't NYC! I do truly appreciate the certain charm of the old building, and the comfort of the rooms though, so you have to decide if you... Read more

Beautiful hotel and the staff was wonderful. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast choices but was abundant, hot and very good overall. Unfortunately for travelers not familiar with the area locating the hotel and parking is quite frustrating. After understanding the layout and realizing that this is an old historic building and section of Ogden, we adjusted to the situation. Hopefully someone from Hampton will come up with a solution that makes the negative comments about the parking go away. ... Read more

The Hampton Inn in Ogden, Utah, occupies a magnificent building centrally located in town. Fittings are classical and comfortable, and there is plenty of space. It is a pity, therefore, that our service experience at the hotel did not match the setting. Our check-in was awful: one of us waited for valet parking while the other stood in line at reception. The one worker on duty then told us that to check in we had to bring the car key to reception, for which we needed to join the back of the ... Read more

We stayed here for two nights on a recent trip to Ogden. The staff was courteous when we arrived and generally helpful during our stay. The room was a bit on the small side, though it was comfortable and clean. The bed was a king size and was very comfortable. The pillows were not my favorite - down pillows that barely lift your head off the bed - but that is personal preference. The bathroom was large enough for two people to get dressed. The tub was small (for those who like to soak), but the ... Read more

This Hampton Inn has a higher price point than most properties in the chain. It is newer, and bigger, but not necessarily better. Renovated in 2013, one can see original ceilings and marble walls by the elevators. That being said, inconveniences such as parking a block away and small rooms and bathrooms are frustrating.
