Thru phone conversation the friendly staff placed us in an outstanding room convenient to everything we had requested. Our room had a full kitchen along with a full size refer plus they all worked perfectly. The staff looked after our needs right to the smallest detail and seemed very happy to do so. When we visit SLC again we will indeed stay at the Home2 suites in West Valley.

Breakfast is the worst one we have ever had. We stay at hiltons everywhere and home2suites has the worst breakfast. My kids wanted normal waffles not buck wheat waffles. And there was nothing else to choose from for them. We ended up going down the road to chick fil a. I get that it's a free breakfast, but other Hilton free breakfasts are much much better.

Stayed here a year ago an loved it. Boy how this place has gone downhill in a year!! HORRIBLE pillows! HORRENDOUS breakfast!! I get that breakfast is "free", but there are ZERO healthy options, especially if you have any restrictions. This is the typical S.A.D fare (Standard American Diet). No fresh food in sight. No fresh fruit, not fresh eggs, just processed microwaveable sandwiches, bread and more bread, and they were out of oatmeal (the only semi-healthy option). Also they no longer have re... Read more

Very nice hotel. Would definitely recommend. The only issue is the showers. It seemed as if it was either very hot water or very cold water, never could really just get warm water. Rooms were very clean and plenty of space. Good breakfast.

The staff was exceptional, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The only negative was the Internet access which was far less quality than other hotels we stayed in. It was great to have a couch to sit on and watch TV instead of just a bed.

The staff was very friendly from the moment we checked in til the moment we checked out. They recommended places to eat and places to go (every one was excellent). The fire pit outside was nice to sit around at night and we had full use of the grilling area with no issues. The breakfast was not really spectacular but ok. The pool is semi saltwater so keep that in mind but it is indoor and very warm. They are a pet friendly hotel and although the rooms don't have stoves you can get a hot plate fr... Read more

Overall was a nice facility, but I was forced to stay in a smoking room my first night and the shower did not work properly. I did get to move rooms the next day which helped. The fridge in the new room did not work though. However, the customer service representatives at the front desk were nice. They did what they could to help fix things. I would recommend this place to people as long as they're able to get the type of room they want ... smoking vs non smoking.

On 6/2/2016 I reserved 2 non-smoking rooms and pre-paid at your Home 2 suites in Layton, UT. When I arrived 6/22/2016. You only had one non-smoking room. So I let me collegue stay in the non-smoking room. I find this very disappointing and smelly. The entire floor where both rooms were smells terrible. When I said something to the front desk clerk, she informed me they were booked out, and in her words, "is good for us but too bad for you." Interesting service mode.

Never stayed in Home2 suits before, and honestly I'm not sure I've heard of it before either. There was no rooms available in next door Garden Inn so I decided to give it a try. And it was really, really good! Huge rooms, fully equipped (not that I needed it, arrived late and left early), very clean and comfortable. The gym was in good condition and also very clean. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. All that for less than $120 a night... Great value!!!

This hotel is convenient to Hill AFB and also convenient to the Interstate and restaraunts. Also provides hot breakfast in the morning. After a couple of days of their breakfast you do want to venture out and get something on your own but overall for the price you are paying it is great and the view of the sunset, mountains, and the lake you cant beat it. We have stayed here before and went back because we liked the amenities. This time the hallway carpet was very dirty and could use a good shampoo. Our room smelled like a cat had been in there. This place felt worn out. Also, I was told that our room would sleep 5. It was really just a king plus a very small pull out bead that was comfortable for two. Carpets and shower were dirty. Pool area could have been cleaner. Too many lights in the room. Lots of noise if you have a room avove you. Left feeling pretty dissatisfied. Wont return.

We reserved 2 rooms (paid for in advance) and arrived an hour early to the hotel. I asked about an early check in and was told that 1 of the 2 rooms was ready and the other would be ready after noon. We went out for the day...came back and found out, after trying a new key 3 times to get into the room, they had given away our room to another guest!! We ended up staying in a MUCH SMALLER room. The rooms are great, the hotel is clean but I was VERY upset about them giving away our room!

We were on the 4th floor overlooking a park area. The room had the best layout with loads of special features: huge screen TV, lots of charging areas and plugs, clever pull out desk on wheels, kitchenette with crockery and full size fridge. Barn style doors really help maximize space utility too. Only thing sort of negative was the worn sofa in our room. Breakfast was pretty decent too. Lots of restaurants nearby.

This hotel is more of a long-term stay place for a mix of white-collar and blue collar workers servicing Hill AFB. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a small kitchenette that has a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, sink, and dishes and utensils. No stove, but a hot-plate can be checked out at the desk.
