This Hampton Inn has had a recent refurbishing and it glows! No kidding. The breakfast area has been enlarged but the guest rooms are the real gems. The rooms now have wood-like tile in the entry way and bathroom and coordinating carpet in the sleeping area. There is a new beautiful countertop in the bathrooms and tons of storage space on the countertop, a ledge above the countertop for more stuffand these nifty new pull-outs for even more. It was a great stay with a wonderful staff. Right next to a variety of restaurants with a Super Target and Barnes and Noble nearby. The breakfast was the typical eggs, yogurt, cereal, toast, etc. The only problem is that you shouldn't expect to be able to do your laundry. They only have one washer and dryer however the staff said they are working on getting another one. Other than that, it is right off the freeway and is very nice.

Enjoyed our 3 night stay in a very nice King Bed room. Everything you need to fulfill a comfortable stay. Our room was clean, fresh and met our needs. Only suggestion would be for housekeeping to empty ice buckets and coffee pots daily and to make bed in a professional way. Seemed like there wasn't a lot of care put into. It wouldn't sway my decision to stay at this property again. It was very nice and meets my wife's very high standards. On a good note, the treats left by housekeeping wa... Read more

I stayed at this property during the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah. The staff really went out of its way to make me feel at home. I have stayed at a number of Hampton Inns across the country and what set this one was apart was the genuine interest by everyone I encountered to make sure I enjoyed my stay.

The rooms were dirty. I had to clean the tub before I let my child take a bath. There was hair in the tub. The floors needed to be vacuumed. There was also a brush left from the previous customer left on the floor by the window. The remote controls had crumbs all over them and some of the sheets were stained. We stayed two nights. When we came back to the hotel after our activities the second day, we had to request housekeeping to come to our room, as they hadn't been there to spruce it up whi... Read more

this is was truly an excellent experience from arriving at the front desk to our departure... Not often can you use a facility and not find something that you would wish was just a little better in one way or another. This was not the case here it was 10's across the board & if anyone is in the area you cannot miss with this facility & it's staff..

made a quick trip to Layton Utah to visit My brother-in-law who was staying in the Davis County Hospital, the first night I stayed at the Holiday Inn across the street and was totally dissatisfied with the room and service I received, I called the Hampton Inn directly from the Hospital at about 12:00PM they had a room ready for me in 20 min. and I was able to check in early so I could get some needed sleep. The staff was great and so were the cookies they brought out to the lobby at 7:00PM I wil... Read more

My wife and I stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Layton for three nights and I can only describe our stay in one word: Fantastic! The room was neat and clean, the food was good and the staff was great. Especially the staff. We felt more than welcome. We have stayed at this Hampton on several occasions and it just keeps getting better. The manager, Kerrie, the check-in person, Shantay and Lisa of house keeping, actually remembered us from our previous visits. What better compliment th... Read more

I stayed here for a week for business. This is a very nice hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. It snowed one morning, the hotel provides brushes and scrapers, the person at the front desk offered to clean the car off for me. That is service. The welcome reception at nite is awesome, I had dinner at the hotel a couple of nights. The reception is offered Monday through Thursday. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable. I stayed in a 2 queen room and it was very sp... Read more

Overall my stay was very good. Indoor pool. Complementary breakfast. Free WiFi. Large rooms. Next to lots of shopping and restaurants. Who could ask for more? Only complaint was the availability of the front desk staff.

This Hampton is my usual choice for a couple trip to Layton per year. Made the reservation using the Hilton website; worked well. First time with first floor room; had walk-in shower, which was nice. Be aware, though, room 129 had a spot light right outside the window that the curtain mostly blocked. Noise from rolling luggage and vehicles was prevalent. Back to the third floor next time!

Hotel staff was efficient and friendly. Made for easy check in and check out. The room was clean and very comfortable, the bed was firm (I like it that way, my wife not so much). Only downside to our visit was breakfast. Recommend that you skip it and eat out at nearby restaurants (close and convenient).

We had a great time over the Thanksgiving break. We stayed at Hampton in Layton and enjoyed it very much. The staff was good to us and the rooms were excellent! We will definitely be going back again!
