First I must say that the staff was the best - giving lots of info about parks and restaurants Nice clean hotel in a great location for canyon parks - Zion and Bryce others we didn't have time to visit King bed comfortable nice breakfast It would have been great hotel for value except for below con. Con was that the walls are so thin that we were watching tv one night 10:30 pm after hiking in parks all day and someone from room next to ours banged on our door yelling to turn off tv (turn off???)... This is a nice, comfortable hotel with friendly desk personnel who are readily helpful with making plans. There is a hefty load of taxes on the room so you might want to check total price before committing. They changed the computer login code during the night so we had to call the desk in the morning in order to use our devices. Why not change it at noon? The breakfast Is adequate but somewhat limited with no fresh fruit or waffles for example. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable.

We've stayed several times in Kanab and this was our second multi-day stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The hotel has just been redecorated and it's attractive and comfortable. The staff is friendly and very helpful with providing tips on places to dine, where to park oversized trailers, etc. Our room was comfortable and the furnishings and western style décor very pleasing. The shower was good and hot water and towels plentiful. The only complaint with our room is that the refrigerator didn't h... Read more

Restful and beautiful surroundings. The staff made us feel comfortable and cared for. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The quaint little town provides us with nice meandering walks. Nice little bookstore. Close to National Parks and hiking trail. Only issue. If you want wine for yur room, buy it before arriving. The state liquor store is small and limited in variety.

We stayed here for five nights and used it as a base for hiking in the parks. All staff were friendly and helpful any request received a positive response. Our room was quite spacious and comfortable but lacked a fridge, however, ice was available. There was a reasonable choice of food on the breakfast buffet and it was constantly refilled.

Hotel staff was so incredibly friendly and nice. This is an ideal location if you are going to Zion National Park. The breakfast was really good and the room was clean. Sheets were pretty worn and there was no refrigerator. Would recommend this to travelers visiting the National parks in the area

It's been a long long time since I've stayed in a Holiday Inn and this one in Kanab Utah made me rethink my feelings for Holiday Inn again. I've been staying at Hiltons and Marriotts and there was nothing open here in Kanab so we tried HI. It was clean, very very polite staff, food was good, clean rooms and people very helpful. I was truly impressed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Kanab or its surrounding towns.

Stayed one night. Property seems fairly new and is well maintained and managed. Holly, at the front desk, was very helpful in answering my questions about areas to hike nearby, provided a good ATV outfitter and best restaurants. There were 2 other women working the front desk that were also helpful, but I lost my notes with their names. The beds were comfortable. The room was quiet and nice size. Breakfast was well stocked, including fruit, though the pancake machine was not working (some... Read more

Just finished a two night stay at the HIE with another couple. Used it as our hotel for the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Long drive, but unless you stay in the park there are not many choices. Looks like a newerish place. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is okay, but not exciting. They do not have hot oatmeal. You have to add water to a packet or cup. Eggs were better than average as was the turkey sausage patties. Only complaint was the internet. Does not stay co... Read more

Kanab is quite small and this hotel is well situated. The rooms are clean and the sink is in the bathroom and the water stays in the sink, as this is not always the case in hotels. The breakfasts are good. The TV and remote are easy to use. It has a good pool. Only downside is that there is no fridge, bar or restaurant. Otherwise a good place to stay.

We stayed for 5 nights June 12-17. 2016. From check in to check out the service was excellent. The room was spotless, the breakfast was excellent, the pool area immaculate. This hotel should be used as the gold standard for all Holiday Inn Express properties. The location for touring Zion/Antelope Canyon/Bryce and Grand Canyon North...perfect, nothing more than 90 min. to 2hrs. Plus many things to see locally. I would highly recommend this hotel! The staff were ALL extremely helpful and friendly; the rooms are updated, large, and very comfortable, with free wifi. The free breakfast is good and filling (eggs, meats, biscuits, pancakes, fruit, etc). Centrally located to lots of national parks. Also a small indoor pool.

As a dog rescuer I liked the fact that Best Friends has a site next door and this place is dog friendly. Aside from that, the downtown location puts it near restaurants and shops, so there is no need to get back into the car once here. The people were friendly and the rooms were very nice and clean. It is also much more affordable than hotels in Hite or Springdale.

This was a key location stop for us in Utah. The hotel provides great access to two key items - Best Friends Shelter (Trip Advisor) and Coral Pink Sand Dunes (Trip Advisor). The check in was without any problems and our room was clean and comfortable after a long day of outside adventure. The lobby and café provided a nice sense of comfort to our stay. The staff was friendly providing us with great dinner recommendations.

The rooms are big and has all the amenities. Stayed there for 3 nights and found only one issue. The night I checked in, the sheets has some hair on it but i was too tired to complain as it was a very late check-in. But besides that house keeping is great although we used it only for one day. The continental break fast is amazing and has a lot of items. Property has an indoor pool but i haven't used it. The internet speed is good and is free. I would recommend this hotel

I have stayed here a few times and it is always clean and quiet. I enjoy the stay each time I go, They are right on the main street in Kanab Utah and have always got my reservation correct. Make sure you book a little in advance as it's hard to get a last minute reservation. :-)

Currently stayed, dirty room as if vacuuming was not a priority for the whole stay I was there. Front desk management are not willing to work with rates to help per diem groups, all our employees are loyal reward members. They say they will adjust but do not follow up. It seems as the front desk staff pass the buck with no follow up.

I was greeted by a large smile and efficient check-in. It was 109 degrees and I needed some A/C, and they had plenty. The furniture in the suite was comfortable, two reading chairs and a footrest. The wireless speed was strong enough to stream Netflix. The spa tub has some spidered cracks/veins that should be corrected. Until it is corrected I would not recommend the spa suite. The mattress was comfortable and my back was fine in the morning. The was an in room Keruig, which was welcomed. ... Read more

We didn't really explore Kanab or this hotel as much as we would have liked. It was a quick pitstop on our roadtrip to Grand Canyon. But, the hotel was very nice. We arrived late (since we missed the new timezone, while driving from LA). Large, comfortable and modern rooms. Cozy beds, good - working WiFi...and complementary breakfast. Right downtown Kanab and you can walk to restaurants and shops. Nice size rooms with modern decor. A little pricey but very nice. Good sized breakfast room so it's a little less chaotic than other hotels. Helpful staff. Pool is a little small for the July crowds. Would stay there again

Upon checking in, I realized that I reserved a room, instead of a suite. Michelle worked incredibly hard to make my family of 5 comfortable. She was able to move us to a suite, making sure we had adequate bedding and bath linens during our 3 night stay. Breakfast was nice, with plenty of options. It's not a restaurant, but there is something for everyone. My kids enjoyed the pool, and the on-site laundry room was useful. We (family of four) stayed three nights and used the hotel as a base for Zion and Bryce. The room was fine, what we expected. They have laundry facilities which are great if you are doing a road trip and are living out of a suitcase. What made this excellent is the staff. I have never met a team that was so friendly, helpful and polite. I would go there again if only for the staff.

The hotel was one of the priciest ones I paid for in Utah. (I didn't realize Western Legends was happening the same weekend!) If it weren't for the clean linens, I would have probably gone elsewhere. The first room I got smelled and the hotel reception came upstairs and agreed - so we changed it. Breakfast was adequate and housecleaning was severely lacking (things not picked off the floor, bed not made, towels not picked up). I stay at HI Express all the time and have never had such a terrible experience as I had at Kanab location. First, I joined the rewards club and stay in HI Express primarily because a fridge in every room is supposed to be standard. When I arrived in Kanab, I found there wasn't a fridge. Because I have dietary issues and planned on hiking and needed to bring food with me, a fridge was pretty mandatory. I had actually brought food with me not realizing there wouldn't be a fridge in the room and I... Read more

We had a rather long day of travel from Flagstaff, stopping at Glen Canyon Dam for a couple of hours on our way. This was a hotel in the midst of downtown Kanab. We ended up walking across the street to eat at this little sandwich/ice cream shop. The breakfast bar here was one of the best - the food tasted so fresh. We were part of the tourist crowd in Kanab but most of them arrived in huge buses. The HI Express was a very nice motel. Our room was spacious with a sitting area, comfortable bed, nice furnishings, and good shower. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub to relax some road weary muscles. The hot tub needed some defoamer but otherwise was great. Kanab is expensive but so close to many gorgeous national parks. We would definitely stay there again.

Arrived late and left early, the story of our short trip to USA, but we had a comfortable stay and enjoyed a good breakfast with slice of ham and scrambled eggs and what we would call a scone, seemed to be a biscuit which had a mushroom sauce that they called gravy.
