Location was near interstate after long drive and late arrival. We are not dog people, and there were a fair amount of k-9's visiting as noted by several other TA commenters. Also popular with a tour bus overnight. Was ok, but not as clean as we had hoped. Not many other options along this long stretch of highway. Breakfast was crowded since tour group was on their way out.

Staff were very friendly, facility was very clean! The only downside is they have a small eating area and their breakfast is very good. Get there early if you want a seat, or just take it back to your room.

We stopped here on our way to Arches National Park. The rates are cheaper than in Moab and it's just 45 minutes away. The breakfast was normal free supplied by all hotel chains. Pet are welcome here which is good for people with pets. Not so much for us. Limited eating places in town.

This hotel is old and poorly maintained. It might be one of the nicest places to stay in Green River, but that is quite a comment on Green River. The front desk staff was stiff and unfriendly at check in, but not when I checked out. So it's hit or miss for service. I am not sure how it rates compared to other local hotels, but we were not happy staying at this hotel.

Clean, newer-feeling hotel. Front desk was great - called a bit after I checked in just to make sure I was satisfied. When a snow storm was forecast and my travel plans changed, they were great about adjusting the reservation midway through the stay. Standard HIEx breakfast. I would stay again next time I'm in the area.

If Holiday Inn Express wants to compete with chains like Hampton Inn and even Marriott's Fairfield, it needs to upgrade its properties in places like this one in Green River, UT. This motel isn't terrible, but it is terribly overpriced ($150+ in the off-season) for what you get. This property is much like one of those old mom 'n pop motels your parents used to stay in. The rooms have cheap, dated furnishings, there is only one small elevator for the building, and the hallways are narrow and hot... Read more

We just did a Baseball tourney in Vegas and stopped here for a stay, needless to say very quite, clean and worth every penny. The breakfast was off of the chain and kept us going for the drive. Loved the pool as well.

We booked at the Holiday Inn Express in Green River for 2 night at the Government Rate, which is a standard rate for many Holiday Inns. However, upon check out, we were told that the rates change per night depending on occupancy or vacancy. This seems to me to be such a corporate and local SCAM!!!! The front desk clerk was very nice and cordial, however, never did we talk to the manager--only she did by phone. The manager was incognito and not to be located nor did she care to please a custo... After being on the Interstate all day, this motel was a welcome sight. Rooms were of a good size, very clean and very comfortable. The area was very quite with no distracting noises. Good breakfast bar. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced.

First, if you can avoid Green River, that might be a good idea. Secondly, this Holiday Inn Express does not care if you are high-value customer with tens of thousands of points and dozens of stays. Our preferred room is always on the top floor. They gave us a ground floor room while giving tourists who appeared to be from overseas priority on rooms and then telling us all the top floors rooms were already taken. When we got back from supper, the bus tour was just checking in, so it appears t... Read more

We didn't like the hotel where our original reservation was (River Terrace) and found a King Suite at this HIE which was a GREAT relief!! The accommodations were clean and there were well delineated areas for smokers, non smokers and pet owners. This is one of the few places in Green River with an elevator but we had a first floor unit (which we generally do not like) which was quiet and clean. Breakfast was typical and plentiful. The only thing I would correct is the entrance sign. It is very ... Read more

Of the many hotels that you pass by when cruising through Green River this is the hotel to stay at. The rooms are clean, very comfy, great water pressure in the shower, and a nice cold AC. I'm not a breakfast person but they had so many choices for a continental breakfast - bagels, toast, omelet, sausage, bacon, and even - hot cinnamon rolls. Nice!

We needed to be in Green River as a halfway point, and because it's fairly close to Capitol Reef -- but it sure is isolated. Because of that, there's not much choice for good hotels, and the price reflects the fact that there's not much choice. The room was average size and cleanliness; positive points were that it was quiet, and the blinds (no curtains) were probably the most effective on the whole trip at keeping the room dark in the morning. The key card would sometimes work, and sometimes... Read more

This hotel is located along the main road with the other hotels in Green River, but it's hard to see it only because there isn't a large Holiday Inn express sign that grabs your attention (especially compared to the other hotels in the area). I can't say it's the best hotel we've ever stayed in only because our room seemed dated and smelled a little strange. That's the only negative. The beds were comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was fabulous (a huge plus for me!), and breakfast w... Read more

Holiday In Express was a good choice for overnight stay at Green River Utah. The selections in many towns more remote can be bad--so it is best to look for a Holiday Inn Express. Breakfast choices are very good.

We had car problems and were stranded in Green River for 2 days. We lucked out by staying here. It is pet friendly, the rooms were clean, spacious and the free breakfast was a nice surprise. The staff was understanding and extended a late check out to us because of the car problems. We would stay here again.

We picked Green River Utah to breakup a drive from Jackson Hole to Scottsdale and we picked this motel based on other reviews. After a long, weary drive, we were very pleased to walk into our large, airy room. Nothing fancy, but big, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The microwave and fridge came in handy. The beds were very comfortable and had a selection of pillows. There was a full hot breakfast that was great. The air conditioning was quiet and cool. All in all we had a great stay and... Read more

Clean and nice rooms. Very nice basic hotel for an overnight stay. They do need a larger sign. We missed the hotel the first time and had to turn around. Overall we recommend for a basic overnight stay between Utah and Denver. They have an indoor pool and a hot tub. There were refreshments available in the lobby for afternoon arrival.

Green River has a few chain hotels. This is the best choice. The hotel is newer and it delivers beautifully appointed rooms, large to boot! The hotel has a nice pool and whirlpool and the guest service staff were friendly.

This was a great stay for us while drove across the country. We got a spacious room with 2 queens and a pullout. The pool was great to play in after a long driving day and the hot tub was delightful. Warm cookies and lemonade upon arrival were a nice treat. Very pet friendly as well. Breakfast was ok and satisfied the kids. They included local, fresh produce.

Stayed here while visiting Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Our room was quiet and the staff was very friendly and accommodating (we requested an early check-in, and it was cheerfully granted). The complimentary breakfast had a good variety of items, and the staff worked hard to keep all items stocked and fresh.

Nice place to stay in Green River. Very clean. Kids loved the indoor pool. Definitely recommend if staying in the area. Breakfast is typical holiday inn express. They also let us leave our duffels in locked space while we were doing a multi day rafting trip. If you get a chance to pick up some local melon would encourage that too!

Came with extended family for visit to nearby National and State Parks. Rooms were clean and ready upon arrival. Nicely furnished -- although an in-room safe would have been a nice touch. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Pool was great. Breakfast is the usual HIE, but offers many choices to please everyone. Breakfast attendant was attentive to items needing restocking. Front desk folks always greeted us. Rooms are quiet and well-appointed. This is one of the two or thr... Read more

It was an expensive hotel for what you get but checking out the other hotels in the area, worth paying the extra. The rooms were still a bit below standard for my liking. Stains on the floor... The staff was extremely friendly and the hotel is very dog friendly with a nice green grass area with tables and chairs.

I wasn't overly impressed with the hotel. The lady at check in didn't seem to be too enthused to be working. She told us we couldn't leave our dogs unattended in the room, which was kind of annoying since we had to drag them with us to go find something to eat. (Green River is a tiny little town, so there aren't many restaurant choices.) Room had almost an ammonia smell to it, kind of like how it smelled when I got my hair permed in the 90s. Beds were ok, shower wasn't bad. Breakfast isn't serve... Read more

Spent an overnight here to continue our National Park travels. I rated it as average because after spending many nights in several HIE hotels in several states, some were better, none worse. The room was smallish but OK. The breakfast area was too small to accomodate the large morning crowd. I didn't like the shower insert. I never saw one like this before. It was flimsy and made a lot of noise when one moved about it. Most all HIEs have room microwaves and refrigerators, but this didn't.

Along this stretch of interstate there is not a whole lot of choice in accommodation and what is available is not a great selection. You can literally go hundreds of miles in either direction and not find a better hotel than this. From that perspective this is an amazing hotel! The accommodations are what you would expect, clean, courteous and highly functional. Definitely a comfortable property but would have to add that driving from coast to coast this was our most expensive night by far.

Closest hotel to Moab that was not over $300 was the Holiday Inn Express in Green River. The hotel was so underwhelming. There was burnt popcorn smell in the lobby upon our arrival. The front desk person was basically there to take my credit card and give me a key, and that's about it. Absolutely zero customer service skills. Room was bare bones - no refrigerator or microwave. Beds were okay but not up to par with most other economy hotels. The bathroom had a nice size vanity so that was a plus.... Read more

They had a room when nobody else for 300 miles around had a room. That's because this room was the family suite. I was traveling along, but had no choice. It was clean and decent. The staff was super friendly and I would stay there again, hopefully in a cheaper room. The wifi needs to be improved. This is a common thread in my experience these days.

Not too impressed with this Holiday Inn Express. They recently did updates but could certainly use more. Wish there were more hotels to choose from in this area but there are not, so you get what you can get. Rooms don't have mini frig or microwave either. Paid a lot for this room and that is frustrating for sure.

We stayed at this hotel during visits to National Parks. It was near the interstate and easy to get to. The hotel was clean and updated. Staff was very helpful and made sure guests were comfortable. There are few restaurants in town so the breakfast is good and important. The price was much higher than is normal for a Holiday inn Express most likely due to the few options in the area.

First of all we had chosen this hotel to enjoy the hot tub after a long drive just to find out that the heater was broken and therefore the adjoining pool was also pretty cold. Then for this rate I was not expecting plastic plates, forks and knifes at the breakfast buffet, not only that this doesn't match prize value, BUT shouldn't the hotels be a bit more eco friendly instead of using this very bad plastic trash? If you are so inclined - they had a terrific grilling area in the back. Next time, I will bring burgers!
