Visited in February while on a long drive. The check in staff were helpful and the hotel was clean and secure. The room had basic amenities. The hotel was dog friendly which was helpful. Free wifi and buffet breakfast make this an easy choice.

Still traveling with our three dogs. This must be the only Holiday Inn Express that will allow three dogs. Most max out at two. Found it using bringfido.com. The room was beautiful. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was standard for the chain. Internet good and reliable. The best cable TV channel lineup I have ever seen in a hotel. Good in room coffee. Pretty good location between Bryce and Zion. You could stay closer to the parks, but the dog thing was a limiting factor for us.

Rolled into Cedar City late with the family on my way down to California. I thought the Holiday Inn brand would be a safe bet. Got the last room and paid for it. Even with my AMA I paid a premium. Was told that I would have been better off booking on line on my way in. Lesson learned but a little disappointed by the policy of the hotel taking advantage of the traveller like that. Overall the service was excellent. The young man at check in was great and even though he was on his own manag... Read more

The Holiday Inn Express is about what you would expect. The rooms were clean, and the location is good. It is close to the freeway. The bed is a bit hard. The room does have a microwave and a fridge. The air conditioner works great, and they have free wifi

This was a convenient place to stay on our trip to the southern USA, as it was close to Interstate 15 and was at the south end of the town, near the Walmart and Restaurant locations. Rooms are clean. Service is good. No complaints. Free morning breakfast is always appreciated at HI Express. The place was fully booked, I suspect because of its convenient location.

Chose this hotel because a friend we were traveling with said the breakfast was great. That it was, with eggs, sausage/bacon, fruit, yogurt, cereal, cinnamon rolls and breads each morning. The hotel was also very clean and well maintained. Bathroom had a large, well-lit vanity area. Beds were very comfortable. Desk staff was always very helpful with restaurant recommendations and notifying us when evening cookies were ready.

Clean, new, modern feel. My teenagers loved the pool and hot tub. Perfect for our quick trip for a gymnastics state meet. Thanks! I would definitely stay here again. It's on the edge of town, so not accessible by walking, but convenient for getting right On the freeway. It was perfect for our needs. I have never been disappointed with a holiday inn express. Always clean. And I over their beds.

Stayed at this hotel several times in the past, and it has not disappointed as yet! Always clean and comfortable. Only thing I would have to say is that I almost always request a suite, and the suites are next to the stairway. During the night, you hear everyone that is walking up and down the stairs so it is kind of noisy. I have a noise making machine that I always take with me while travelling for instances like this, and it works like a charm.

I wish I could give this place a better review but I can't. It's a good hotel that is under renovation on the third floor. I'm a light sleeper and requested a quiet room. I arrived and found the hotel located within a half block from I-15 with no trees as a sound barrier. They at first gave me a room on the Highway side of the hotel, which I rejected as soon as I walked through the door. The traffic noise was very loud. I had prepaid for a King suite and they told me the only king suites were o... Read more

This Holiday Inn Express is a very nice hotel to stay at. It is Close to I-15. Bryce Canyon National Park is about and hour and a half drive over scenic highways to the east. Zion National Park is about and hour and fifteen minutes to the southeast. Zion Kolob National Park is about a half an hour away to the south. The room was clean and roomy. No noise from the interstate could be heard. Very good restaurants are in within 1 to 2 miles away. I would return to this hotel should I find m... Read more

Stayed over a long weekend (3 nights). This was a nice hotel nice rooms. Clean and good service. Nice pool. Good breakfast. Close to many business and food options. My only complaint was that i am a Spire member (top status with Holiday inn) and i was placed in room 219 which is a standard king room with the exception of about a 1/3 of the room being taken up by an external storage room which meant i did not have an easy chair to sit in (I spent too much time having to sit in the bed which i rea... I love staying at holiday inn express hotels. Always consistently clean and comfortable and usually for a reasonable price. I stayed here whilst travelling through Utah and was a cozy night in this quiet town. Location was fine just off the freeway, you do need to drive out to the bars and restaurants around town though and without an uber presence and a lack of taxis that could be difficult if you wanted to have a few drinks. Room was clean with a good shower. Self service laundry facilities... Read more

We stayed here on the way out from California to Colorado. Our room was large with a huge bathroom and shower for two. The air conditioning worked well and the breakfast was typical for HIE. Although we didn't use it, there was a Keurig coffee machine in the room.

We stayed here on a Thursday night on our way to California. The hotel has a pool and hot tub which were prerequisites for the kids and we were able to get a room with 2 queen sized beds in it. The best rate we were able to get was through calling (not on the web) and with a AAA membership. The property itself is a little older but very clean and had a great breakfast for the whole family.

We gravitate to HIX as we find their prices reasonable, breakfast very good (especially the cinnamon rolls), and beds very comfortable. This one is on the south side of Cedar City, so not walking distance to the Shakespeare Festival, but also not right on busy Main Street.

Typical hotel chain. Nothing Outstanding. Staff was congenial. They accommodated our late arrival without issue. Why they put the senior citizens on the third floor is a mystery. Lots of restaurants close by.

In addition to all of the expected amenities, we were impressed with the staff. We particularly found Shawna to be warm and caring. We encountered her in the breakfast room and then also saw her working in the laundry as we exited. The desk clerk also was welcoming. Thanks!

The room was clean, and that's where the good ends. There are no black out curtains, the room is facing the road, and the only curtain is white and see-through so I couldn't even change without going into the bathroom. The maid tried to come in even though I had a do not disturb sign on the door, so I can guess that it was to rush me out even though it was before my check out time. And the wifi didn't work. A (nice) in-room coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave make this a perfect hotel for either families or a business traveler. There seem to be a good supply of outlets as well. I consistently stay at HI expresses, and this is one on the bottom of the list. I checked in at midnight from a very long day of travel. Night auditor was very nice and helpful, however, that is where the good ends. The hotel is very loud, and you hear everything in the hallway; especially the tour bus of foreigners at 7 AM. To top that, you have what I assume was the laundry staff because they walked up and down the hall "shouting" laundry! The shades would not close all the way leaving about a... Read more

We stayed at this HIE property on our way home after staying at two others. We were looking forward to Cedar City as it is a favorite stopping place and we were celebrating our anniversary. We were disappointed that this HIE is looking a bit shabby. The check-in staff was most likely at the end of her shift and acted like we were just a number to deal with, then get out of her hair. And by the bathroom area, a shelf for your laptop, tablet or phones with USB charging ports. It was quiet, and front staff were very friendly and helpful. We definitely will stay again. Easy access from the interstate and Main Street. Standard rooms and standard breakfast with room rates somewhat above standard. The desk staff did not have a city or restaurant map for guests' use although in past years when we have stayed here guests were given a copy of this useful map complete with a description of Cedar City restaurants.

We had a reservation so Check-in was very quick. The room was spotless, very modern, but not super roomy. No big deal. The bathroom mirror with surrounding light on all 4 sides was pretty neat! It was a very comfortable room, fresh and modern. This was the highest priced hotel that we stayed in on our weeklong trip--close to $200. We met family at this hotel. It is right off I-15. Close to shopping at the Southern Utah University. Loved the brand new feeling of the hotel. Great meal for breakfast. Nice and responsive staff. And there was forest fires in the mountains behind Cedar City the weekend we visited. The ventilation system thankfully kept all that smoke smell out.

The bed was very comfortable and we like having a little separate sitting area. The TV is viewable from the couch or bed, which is nice. Two negatives. There is not a closet, so they have placed a rod on the wall next to the bed. If you did hang any clothes on it, the bedside lamp could not be used, as it would be behind your clothes! Second, the lighting around the mirror is fluorescent, and way too bright. Actually, rather scarey!

This is a nice hotel which takes pets, (though pet room was on second floor.) It's currently at the south end of the long main street, with similar chain hotels on same strip. It has a pretty lobby. Here's my complaint, and it's not just about this hotel, it applies to many of the US chain hotels: Why do they boast about the free breakfasts? The breakfasts are AWFUL! Our room was recently renovated which made it extremely fresh , clean and inviting. Changes made to the configuration were good and made sense in removing the closet yet still allowing space to hang clothes. The breakfast however was far from good. Tasteless eggs in an omelette filled with a liquid process cheese of some sort. Sausages were too salty and a grey colour. All served on paper plates with plastic cutlery. Not appetizing at all. Recommend skipping the breakfast.

When we got to the hotel it was obvious the hotel was having refurbishments. It was cold and the reception was also doubling up as a breakfast room.
