We stayed at this hotel last summer and had a room on the first floor. Everything was clean. This year we stayed in a room on the second floor and my husband said we won't be staying there again. There was mold in the shower. The drains in the sink and tub were extremely slow. Especially in the tub. The chair to the desk had a big spot of something on the upholstery. The hallway walls were scuffed and the carpet looked dirty. The internet connection was very slow and the tv had very few c... Read more

Our family group reserved 4 rooms for a Baylor U. graduation. We knew it wasn't the best, but affordable & very close to Baylor. I didn't even check with Trip Advisor because whatever the group decided was fine with us. However, I would not recommend you choose Super 8 unless you must have the cheapest or everything else is full. It is dirty, especially the halls & our tub/shower was deadly slippery, even slimy, despite having a special anti-slip surface. Smells are subjective, not objective, bu... Read more

Recently we lost beloved mother and needed to find a hotel for family. Normally there are no problems with the hotels, however this time it wasn't the hotel but the staff. My sister said enjoyed the room but complained about the front counter staff not assisting guests.

Room was clean but could use a deep cleaning. Toilet was crooked and rocked when sitting. A guide to tv shows would have been nice (had a printed guide to channels but not specific daily schedule). Helpful and friendly staff!!!

The property is old needs a remodel but the room was clean. Furniture was old carpet was old. The room was very clean. The lobby and breakfast area was very small. The free breakfast was very very limited. Overall not too bad for the price.

We stayed here many times during the six years our kids were students at Baylor. It was a bed and a small breakfast. Price was not too bad - but it increases when Baylor has something going on. Some of the rooms had smokers previously in them. Not my favorite hotel in Waco.

I checked in as usual when Im at Waco Super8. Room looked normal and when I used the bathroom and shut the door, I noticed bloodstain on the wall that was on the bathroom tissues side. I told the person at the desk and she just looked at me and said she was sorry and she would go cleaned it personally herself, obviously she didnt.

Room was actually nice except for the fact that I found 3 roaches in the room, with one finding its way to the top of the bed I was laying in.. Also say roaches in the hallway outside the room. Staff personnel who received us was anything thing but nice, looked like she really dislike working there.. Some extremely shady characters showed up later that night, must be the reason they ask you to double bolt your door. For $50.00 dlls I guess you get what you pay for..???

To start off the hotel is not super clean, and I'm not sure the air conditioner works. BUT the worst thing is waking up to bugs in bed WITH YOU! When I told the front desk they had bed bugs she sent a maid up "to check" and that was it. I am super unimpressed by my entire experience here, but BED BUGS really is the icing on the cake. Do not stay here!

We asked for a non-smoking room but was given a room that was clearly smoking. When we asked the front desk, she told me it was non-smoking and had been cleaned that day. Later when I asked the desk for febreeze, a different person asked why and upon my explanation he responded that room was a smoking room. They had no other rooms available for us. This experience was not pleasant as we have a child with asthma. The febreeze helped a lot but it was still foul. On another note, the breakfast wa... Read more

This super 8 has officially done me in from all super 8. I think we had 8 channels that had a lot static. Broken soap. No Condictioner ... no trash bags... breakfast a joke. Not welcoming! Ice machine had standing water under it. Had trouble getting into our room. Another guest had same problem.

I was very please with the condition of this motel. Our room was clean and updated. The AC worked well which was important since it was in the 100* range outside. Breakfast had many selections and was kept stocked. We did have issues on check in and it took nearly 30 min. to check in to the two rooms I had reserved. In all fairness, she was trying to get our rooms close together. But then mixed up the rooms each of us was paying for. I finally asked if she could refund the room and charge... Read more

Everyone from the manager, front desk staff, to housekeeping, and custodial staff are just wonderful people who do a great job with what they have to work with. This is a great value for those who just need an inexpensive overnight stay and are not handicapped. This review focuses on issues dealing with a wheelchair at this motel and should not diminish these great people who work very hard and are very customer service oriented. It was OK for the price. The carpets desperately need cleaning, the hallways were HOT. Breakfast was OK. If you need something printed, make sure you print it before you go there because they don't have a printer hooked up to the computer and if you need very much printed they will charge you.

Competitive price during high demand weekend. convenient location near south border of campus. 1 mile walk to stadium. Excellent and courteous staff.

My friend booked this room, knowing it was probably older more used hotel. I was just surprised of the cost. There were 10 of us and 4 rooms. We had such a busy weekend that we didn't mind that its design was very out dated, walls, furniture, bathrooms. They still kept it as clean as possible. Considering we where not quiet with so many of us. The rooms are very sound proof.. One room, did not cool as needed and that particular room kept getting the having to rekey the door. Kudos for a good breakfast selection - oatmeal, kolaches, the TX waffle my hubby adores, fruit, muffins, yogurt, cereal, juice, etc. King bed was comfy, pillows were nice, bathrooms were improved. Clean. Great front desk service and breakfast attendant was cheerful. One suggestion: Please offer a password protection for those using your hotel's wifi. There was a guy outside you... Read more

It was late when we got to Waco and checked in to the Super 8 on S Jack Kultgen Freeway. The carpet was dirty, the furniture was so dirty we could not lay anything on it. We dared not walk on the carpet without shoes. There was a hole or indent of huge proportions on my husband's side of the bed. The internet did not work thought they insisted it should. Desk clerk was not friendly. Check in was fine. Room smelled bad upon entry. We ordered and picked up food from Applebee's and upon trying to reheat it, the microwave already had someone's open plate full of food inside. Informed the front desk clerk upon checkout who called someone from housekeeping to "check it out!" Nothing else was done about it. It was definitely unsanitary. Won't stay here or recommend to anyone else.
