The Good: Hotel is walking distance to Common Ground and Baylor. The really, really, really BAD: Hotel taxes at checkout, I was expecting 13%.,Local tax was charged 50%, TX state tax was charged 50% so yes folks....hotel was 100% more expensive than expected. NOT a pleasant surprise.

The bath area was poorly maintained, didn't feel comfortable taking shower. The sheets did not fit the bed. The price was not high but WAY overpriced for the value received. We have always held LaQuinta as places of good quality at a reasonable price.

The hotel was not a new building but they keep it in good conditions. Our room was clean. Pillows and bead comfortable. The bathroom was old but clean and keep in good condition with clean towels and soap. Good water pressure in the shower . The only thing I did not like was the water in the bathtub was not draining well so by the end of my shower the water was all the way to my over my ankle. The water later went down. The next morning the breakfast area was well organize , with plenty of brea... Read more

Poorly kept facility, water overflowing in tub as you take a shower. Staff was ok, but I was not hearing anything after I sleep one night in that facility. I had a meeting and could not find a hotel in the area where I needed to attend.

We went during the Silobration for Chip and Joanna, and rooms were sold out. Was able to book a room here, but ended up reading awful reviews and we were very concerned. Our room was great! It was a corner and was huge with a sofa seating area (clerk said it was one of their best rooms). A clean room and bath, very comfortable westen style bed. To say that we were relieved was an understatement. The clerks were so nice and accommodating. I wanted to buy water and was just given some for f... Read more

Most inconvenient was no elevator to load and unload baggage. Thank goodness it was not raining at the time. One couple checked out after first night. Could not sleep for traffic noise. Within 30 minutes found a roach and a tic in room. Overheard people on 1st floor complaining of bugs in room. They told management about the problem.

checked in late, after 2am. I called ahead to let them know i would be late, manager said no problem. upon check-in my reservation was cancelled. staff did not know how to reinstate since i was using my points. almost 2 hours later we were finally in a room. not the room i was told we were getting. just 1 big room, not a suite. this was the 2nd room we were sent too. the first had 1 bed. there were 5 of us. I asked if she could just give us the rooms i booked and we would sort out the point thin... Read more

I was not pleased with this hotel. Our first room smelled like cigarettes. The staff did accommodate us but the rooms were still not updated and had a stale smell to them. I would not stay here again. It is in a great location and close to the Baylor campus. The pool was small and not clean.

As stated earlier, the hotel is showing her age and is not very well cared for. The food for the buffet does not have very much variety and the cereal was stale that was served. The cleaning staff was polite BUT did not clean well. They missed a piece of paper I planted for 3 days. Bathroom was mouldy and the faucet was rusted through. Not a great experience over all. We much prefer the La Quinta in Woodway. Cleaner, more modern, felt safer and loved the staff.
