Because of severe flooding and construction South of Waco I decided to get a hotel room before they were all gone. Being right by a Cracker Barrel was a plus too! Very nice experience...felt like I was on vacation instead of being stranded. Friendly and efficient staff, clean, comfortable and lovely rooms, great breakfast. I will return!

In town to go to Magnolia Market and this hotel was right off I-35 in a great location. The hotel was nice but had a bit of a musty smell. I'm guessing due to the high humidity in Waco. Front desk staff were very helpful and great buffet breakfast. You can even make a waffle shaped like the state of Texas!!

This hotel is an excellent location. While I-35 is a nightmare, the hotel is located on the north end of Waco with a fairly easy access to downtown., etc. Our stay was made very nice due to Erica and Tori at the front desk. Erica gave us invaluable driving info to help us motor around town and Tori was very helpful as well. Our two night stay was excellent, and their complimentary breakfast was also excellent! Nothing but KUDOS!!

A bit dated hotel convenient to Baylor and surrounding areas. The property shows its age but balanced by great and helpful staff. I stay at many many Hilton properties and this was probably the worst one I have stayed at. The hotel smells like a old, rundown, smoke filled hotel. Choices were limited the night we stayed and if I could have checked right back out and left, I would have. I don't recommended staying here unless you ABSOLUTELY have no choice. The beds were not comfortable, the hotel stunk, and when I left, my clothes and everything I had just smelt terrible. The staff was nice and check in was a breeze. Starb... Read more

Time for some capital expenditures to give this well-run, clean and well-positioned hotel a new lease on life. The carpets and hall ways, especially, look very dated. Some TLC and this place will be as good as any other Hampton Inn.

As is expected this Hampton inn exceeded expectations. I can always get a great relaxing stay at a Hampton. Room here was cold with a great bed, breakfast was hot and had multiple choices for picky eaters! No problems at all. If at all possible, we only stay at Hampton Inns when traveling due to their quality and courteous staff. This visit was no different. Everything was up to our expected standards. We only rated the sleep quality as "good" because the mattress was a teeny bit uncomfortable. Having said that, I have health issues that make me sensitive to things "normal" folks wouldn't. If you want a clean, quiet hotel, pick the Hampton Inn. One of the reasons I pick it is because they say that the duvets are cleaned for each guest--and if you are cozying up to the comforter, you want to make sure it's clean. I have not been disappointed. That being said, if you want a good breakfast, skip it. Hope that there is a Denny's or Starbucks close by. They seriously don't use real eggs and it's just nasty. While traveling in Texas we had to relocate a one night stay to Waco. Hampton Inn was kind enough to let us cancel our reservation at another location and we got a room at this location in Waco. The only complaint I have is by the time we got it all worked out our room went from $120 per night to when we actually booked $149. While this seemed a little unfair the room was nice and clean. Love the digital checkin you get with Hampton Inn. I love being able to pick out my room when I check in before I arrive. The front desk was very friendly when we checked in. The room was very roomy. Bed was very comfortable. We stayed on the third floor room 300. It was at the end of the hall and very quiet. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

This hotel is located off of I-35 in the northern end of Waco. It is amongst a whole collection of comparable hotels located along the edge of the highway with very little within safe walking distance. There is a Starbucks and Cracker Barrel within walking distance and also a gas station and a great local Mexican. It was obvious this was a popular hotel with schools and teams competing in the local area. The hotel common areas are tired, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The AC / hea... Read more

Our room cost over $200 and was not worth that amount. The breakfast buffet was not up to Hampton Inn's usual standards. The hotel did have a nice outdoor pool area . It was also within walking distance to a Cracker Barrel restaurant.

Hair in tub, torn, worn and stained old smelly carpet throughout the hotel. I am a Hilton Honors member, travel throughout the year and am very disappointed in this hotel experience. Does not live up to the standards of other Hampton Inns I have stayed at, including HVAC controls on the unit instead of utilizing a simple device called a thermostat on the wall. Definitely needs renovation and will not stay here until/or unless it is renovated.

Really need new beds! And rooms should be checked to make sure all lights work. We had a whirlpool room, and a light above didn't even have a bulb in the socket. One dial was missing on the whirlpool tub. Mostly, the mattress was not very comfortable.

Roaches in bed, furniture in very poor condition, leaking faucets, dirty vent in bathroom, poor reception on TV. The breakfast selection was not good. The canopy on side was all torn. The place needed paint and remodeling. The sink caulk job looked like a kindergartener had done it. The place was not well maintained at all. We have stayed at many Hamptons. This one was extremely disappointing!

Unfortunately this is the worst experience we have ever had with a Hampton Inn. While the lobby is nicely updated the room are terrible. Stained walls, beat up furniture and old out-dated decor. See pics for reference. The breakfast was disgusting! We usually enjoy breakfast at Hampton but this was inedible. The only saving grace was the helpful and courteous staff. I would have given it a one if it hadn't been for the staff.

Lobby is gorgeous. My room was shabby. Touch up paint was ten shades different than wall. Mold in shower. Desk chair was hideous and furniture was worn. Was surprised because I've stayed in some really nice Hamptons. Oh, worst pillows ever. I used all four and still hated them. Since it's close to the college, it's probably average. However, the staff was very friendly, genuine and most awesome.

It was ok nothing special but clean. Could use updating. I will be back next week breakfast pass on the eggs tasted like the carton they came in.Coffee and hot tea was nice to have when we got back late from a cold night at the football game. The staff was friendly and spoke to you when returning. We requested a first floor room and they accommodated the request. We plan a trip next week and made reservations again for another weekend of football.

I stayed at this hotel for business purposes. Unfortunately the WIFI signal was too weak to use in my room (325) and the TV had no available HDMI ports for my laptop to practice my business presentation.

This is the 2nd time in a little more than 6 months that we have stayed at this property... Basically the same opinion as the last. Room was sufficient and adequate, beds were comfy. Might be time to do a more thorough cleaning of the rooms rather than just the quick one in between guests, but nothing that would make me feel it isn't clean. At least I can say the breakfast options were better this time around... last time, the hot food was combined into one, leaving no alternative. This time... Read more

This is my final night here for my trip, and the last time I will ever stay here in the future. This hotel was nothing social to begin with - shabby rooms and common areas, halfway decent breakfast, staff was friendly enough. But sufficient for my needs. Until the last night of my stay, when I woke at midnight to a roach crawling in my bed! And now I see other reviews from other recent guests staying the exact same thing! Deal breaker!!! Plz update and fog these rooms if you want to keep your cu... Read more
