Adding to my sparkling previous review of this hotel, it is amazing. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and the breakfast situation has vastly improved. Your only option used to be ordering from a limited menu, and with the number of people in the hotel, breakfast could take longer than expected. NOW they have opened a breakfast buffet, complete with hot and cold items for $9.95 (adults). It's delicious, hot, and coffee/water/milk/juice is all included. The service is impeccable and Toni was espe... Read more

There are only a few nice places in Waco, this is one. Very clean, beautiful setting and close to everything. It's also about 10 blocks from Baylor university. There is a great staff that really wants to make the stay perfect.

This is a nice, clean hotel. Seemed updated, I had not stayed here before. King room had a curved couch that pulled out to a single bed, which my Baylor coed enjoyed after packing up all her things for the summer. My only, but significant complaint, is the fact that the Courtyard brand has turned all beverage and food over to the management of Starbucks. No free coffee in the am, folks! No refills on the way out the door. And if you happen to remember the wonderful omelette station and really n... Read more

The hotel is very nice. The staff at the front desk are warm and friendly and helpful. Only negative is that they do not have free breakfast. Everybody has free breakfast these days. The location to downtown is very good. Walking distance to both downtown and Baylor University.

We stayed at this hotel for a graduation. All I can say is "All Good" about this hotel. Great staff, clean and comfortable rooms, nice dining area, pool and workout room. Going back for a college visit in July and can't wait to stay there again. Clean, clean, clean

We used the Marriott app on our phone to check in the morning of our arrival telling them we would be there around 2:00 pm. They were supposed to get our room ready for our arrival. Regular check in was 3:00 pm. They are supposed to text you when your room is ready. We never got a text but thought that is ok because we were running late and would not get there until after 3:00 pm anyway. When we arrived after 3:00 pm, our room was not ready. So we had to wait until they could find us a room... Read more

Management of this establishment held back no expenses at rolling out the hospitality and accommodating my needs during my stay. The Lobby can be loud at times, and if it's during the warmer months of the year, might not wish to find a reading spot by the pool, as either the heat or humidity will deter you inside.

We stopped in Waco for a couple of nights on our way to San Antonio. We were warmly welcomed with a genuine smile by the GM Vilma and her assistant Daphne. Vilma asked if there was anything she could do to make our stay more comfortable. The front desk agent, Stephen was very accommodating and gave us several great dining and sightseeing ideas, in addition to showing us how to get to Magnolia. The lobby is beautifully updated and appointed, and features several seating areas to work or share w... Read more

I stayed at Marriot Courtyard over a weekend in May 16 to attend a high school reunion. The property relatively new and is clean and well maintained. It's well located. The staff are friendly. The room was very comfortable especially the bed. So what could be wrong? Just three things: the free wi-fi was unusable because of security issues that prevented Google from allowing me to use the service ( I had to use my phone data); I never got a fully range of complementary toiletries ( ie never any ... Other than the location, this hotel does not offer anything very special. The hotel is within walking distance to the shopping downtown, including the Silos and Spice Island. You can also walk to the Dr. Pepper Museum. The bathroom and shower area were very clean and nice. The beds were very comfortable. I liked the room - it was a balcony overlooking the courtyard/pool area. There was a very nice guy at the front desk who was cheerful and helpful. Overall it was clean. Those are the posit... We came to Waco to see Magnolia market. Courtyard was convenient. Clean & pleasant staff. Great for the price. Room set up was awkward. Pool was great after a hot day. Small fitness room but just enough. Clean.

Hotel was good, clean and acceptable. Buffet breakfast was a joke. Same as a normal continental at other hotels. Biggest problem I have with this hotel is they charge for everything others provide for free. I like the Marriott hotels but the courtyards are not worth the money. Look for a Springhill or Fairfield and you will get the same but more.

Needed a room near Baylor and this fit the bill. Close to both BU and downtown Waco restaurants and market. Plenty of good parking. Check in was quick and friendly. The room was clean. The AC compressor was out of commission on check in and the room was hot. That said, they had the entire unit and room cool within an hour so can't complain about that. The only issue was the $10 pp breakfast which was pretty gross. Cold eggs. Basically just a standard waffle, bagel and fruit service included at ... Read more

Great location to Baylor & Magnolia Silos! Lobby/Bistro area is nice with lots of seating. We purchased a meal from a good truck at the Silos & came back to eat in the hotel due to the Texas summer temps! We sat in the lobby in an area with our own TV. Very cozy & comfortable! The cleaning of our room for our second night left a little to be desired, but overall I would recommend this hotel.

I chose this hotel for the location and I am so glad I did. Right across from the Convention Center, Indian Springs Park, and Suspension Bridge. Easy access, good parking, beautiful outdoor pool, on site bistro, breakfast, super clean and comfy room, and free wifi. You can walk to the Silos, but in the 100 degree heat, I recommend driving the 6 or 8 blocks.

We just spent one night. The room was spacious and we both got a great night of sleep. Our toilet had a drip, but other than that it was a very pleasant stay. We skipped the provided breakfast to check out the local scene. The pool area looked very inviting.

The room was the perfect size and all was good. The cleaning staff and nighttime bartenders were great, really great! The maintenance crew that never came to fix the dangling canister light and the wheelchair life into the pool- not so great. Location makes this hotel completely worth it!

We traveled to Waco from San Antonio to Dallas. Spent two nights in this property. The location is excellent. Walking distance to restaurants, park on the river, convention center and downtown. Very nice rooms, albeit seems slightly smaller than other Courtyard properties that I have stayed. The bathroom was great with a wonderful shower stall instead of the standard tub/shower combo. Beautiful lobby & pool area. The front desk staff were very informative and helpful regarding locating lo... Read more

This was a great hotel to stay in, up to date, clean, nice outside area, comfortable beds, etc. My only complaint was with the breakfast. The wait was awful and the orders in my party were incorrect. We all had eggs made to order and different styles (sunny side up, over medium, over hard, etc) and none of us got what we ordered. The breakfast is very expensive for that type of service.

We spent one night at this hotel on a Girls Trip to the Magnolia Market. The hotel was convenient to the Silo District Trolley which delivers you for free to the Market and neighboring stops. We literally parked our car at the hotel and didn't get in it again until we left Waco!! The beds were great, and we didn't hear noise from other guests. The in room mini fridge was perfect for storing beverages and snacks. The staff was very helpful in suggesting nearby restaurants. I'd highly recomm... Read more

Drove to Waco to check out the Magnolia Market and decided to stay the night. Easily found the Courtyard near by. Easy check-in, great comfortable room. Loved the patio right near the pool. Beds were very comfortable. Room service was quick and good. Highly recommend this hotel.

I would agree with other reviewers that the breakfast was not great, but the hotel itself is modern, well-kept, and in a great location. The front desk staff is amazing and were so kind to let me hang out at the pool, after check-out, because I had a late flight out of Dallas. If you are coming in to see Magnolia, it is literally about three minutes away. I am glad I flew into Dallas and stayed in Waco, just so I could swing by Magnolia. This is a nice hotel located about a mile from the new Magnolia Market. It is within walking distance of the antique village shops and restaurants and right by the river. Lots of places to walk to and see things in the area. Our room had all of the things you would need and was on the first floor with easy access to our car. The staff was friendly and helpful. I guess there was a convention going on directly across the street, so the hotel was booked solid. It was a madhouse, trying to cram an entire hotel into the morning breakfast buffet--which kept running out of coffee & food & honestly wasn't very tasty. Still: The room was small, but clean. Layout & decor a bit outdated, but functional.

We visited Waco for the first time on a Saturday for a one night stay. The Courtyard was a perfect location. Our room was what you would expect from a Courtyard. Clean and comfortable. We had a nice courtyard view overlooking the pool area. We enjoyed being across the street from the Brazos and had a nice walk around the park. The Bridge over the Brazos, impressive. We stayed here because we liked the location across from the convention center. The room was clean and no bed bugs! The employees were all very willing to help make sure you enjoy the stay. I was very disappointed with the breakfast. It was a small buffet with scrambled eggs floating in liquid and that as far as I made it. We decided to go to a restaurant for breakfast. There is a little bar area with mixed drinks and beer. Several good restaurants in walking distance.

RIGHT across the street from the Convention Center. Excellent front desk service. The Bistro breakfast offer a buffet which is a cut above most "breakfast included" hotels. Housekeeping did a great job. The AC was a little loud, but worked wonderfully. No problems, but the rooms were not ready for check-in for longer than I hoped. Great place to stay!
