This is the third time we stayed in this hotel. The place is still the same: clean and friendly. The beds are very comfortable, and the only problem we had was the barking from a dog in the room next door. The breakfast is okay but there is no hot water to make tea. Although there is nothing around that area except for a Mcdonalds, it is a convienient place to stay at for people who are on a roadtrip. All in all our stay was pleasant.

WE reserved a room online earlier in the day. When we arrived late in the evening, we were told they no longer had any rooms like we reserved. They offered us another type of room at a higher rate. Being very late in the evening there wasn't much option of turning their offer down. When questioned about the rate, the clerk offered a slightly lower rate that was still higher than the original reservation rate. I have stayed here 3 times over the last two years and have had good experiences here. I have stayed in rooms with just a king-sized bed and a room with double queen bed. The rooms were clean and the service at the front desk was good. The double queen room was good sized while the king-sized room was small but comfortable. I would stay here again.

Had reservations as a Hilton Honors member. Entrance was partially blocked by two cars that had parked and were just visiting inside, not registering! This hotel is "nowhere" and has "nothing", except ATTITUDE. After finding out they had no Pantry, like many Hamptons do; and no adequate dining options close by, we asked if we could just get credit towards a stay in the next town of Ft Stockton, TX. They just laughed. Something like they did, when we asked about a "Pantry". One even asked w... Read more

Everything was fantastic especially the bed and pillows. Just make sure you don't arrive late in the evening because they only have 1 person working at the desk. We arrived at 11:30 p.m. exhausted after being on the road for 18 hours and had to wait 15 minutes to check in because there was a problem with the reservation for the guys in front of us! We shouldn't have had to wait at that time of the night!

Room was pretty clean other than the last visitor's soap left in the shower which makes me question whether the sheets were changed or if shortcuts were taken. Rooms super small but quaint. Walls are paper thin. A/C worked great. Not sure it's worth $116 but not much to choose from in Van Horn. No restaurants close by but I highly suggest Van Horn Cattle Co.

Our GPS could not find this place....we passed it twice. It is in the middle of nowhere and there is nothing to do in the area. However, if you are passing thru and need to get off of the road to sleep, this place is clean, courteous and pet friendly. The room was nice, the staff went above and beyond (we needed a wine opener and the manager offered to go home and get hers for us to use), and there's plenty of outdoor space to walk your pet.

This Hampton is conveniently located for I-10 travelers wishing to avoid staying in El Paso. It's also pet friendly which is a big plus. It's typically Hampton-comfortable, but as with many new modern construction hotels, a bit noisy as you'll hear your neighbors nextdoor and above.

This hotel is nice and hopefully will correct a couple of problems. This place is fairly new and is clean and comfortable. the breakfast was burned and the floor was sticky, but is a simple thing to remedy. There is a large dirt lot next to the hotel for truckers or anyone with trailers. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance.

Filthy pool and hot tub, almost blew an otherwise good reputation. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hot breakfast was average as far as hot breakfasts go. Very small room. Hands down the best option in Van Horn, and vacancies were very limited. My family and I prefer room access from an indoor corridor vice exterior entrance. If there would have been a Holiday Inn Express in town, it would have been our first choice.

Overall I am pleased with the service and amenities at this Hampton Inn. We arrived a little before check-in and found our room was ready. We were pleased with the size and cleanliness of the room, the beds were quite comfortable. The staff was very friendly. We spent time at the pool / hot tub -- this is an indoor pool area, so the chlorine levels were VERY STRONG. My only criticism would be that the breakfast was average, at best.

Very nice place to stay in Van Horn. You can't go wrong here -- unless you're up for an early morning swim as they don't allow swimmers in until 10 a.m. If you work out as much as I and like to get it done early in the day, the weight room is excellent. Beware of roadside hotels. Room smelled, stains on the carpet, mold on AC standards. Outside appearance not the best as it wasn't well cared for.
