Been staying at this LQ for the last 20 years. This will be my last. What a dive. To start with, my reservations were messed up. The only good part of the stay was the desk clerk. Very friendly and helpful and fixed the reservation up. Down hill from there. The room was just ok. The next day the maid did not carry out the trash, pick up the used towels and cloths, did not replace toiletries, no coffee and left trash in the room. The breakfast was a joke. The shower barely ran water. ... Read more

I will stay at this La Quinta the next time I am in the Texarkana area. I have stayed at this motel in the past and always been pleased with the accommodations. All the personal were very pleasant and helpful. The channel selection on the tv was a little lacking so I tried to stream a movie but the internet was a little slow until after nine then it was fine. I have recommended this La Quinta to family members who were going to be in the Texarkana area and they were also pleased with the mot... Read more

I was with a large group of 20 people on a geologic field trip throughout Arkansas that ended with an overnight stay in Texarkana, TX. Such a large group can be quite overwhelming for the front desk, but Karla was fabulous and handled it with precision and patience. A few of us were not pleased with our rooms and she graciously and quickly reassigned us to new rooms, this in spite of the fact that the hotel was close to full capacity. The items that caused us to want to change rooms all seeme... Read more

It was reasonably priced. Stayed there with friends on our way down to Texas. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was quick but had variety. Would definitely recommend this and would stay there again.

I stay at this hotel when I'm travelling home or to my work assignment in Texas. It is the halfway point. I enjoy staying here. Staff is friendly. Rooms are always clean. It is a welcome rest spot on a long drive.

Good location, great bed but room was old and not up to LA Quinta standards. Love that they take pets at no extra charge. There was no hot breakfast and minimal cold choices. Don't like that there making me write 200 words fir a review

We stayed at this pet friendly location for 1 nt as we passed through en route from Houston to NW Arkansas. We regularly choose La Quinta's due to they are pet friendly. The price was more than fair! $55 on hotels.com. Our bathroom door was literally falling off the hinges. We arrived late and were out early the next a.m. so we did not ask to have it fixed during our brief stay. We did bring to their attention upon departure. ' Linens were clean. Shower was a bit dingy, but not bad.... Read more

We were not sure about this place as the room rate was $52 which is pretty low for a king sized bed in the area. The room was clean and everything worked. They did not charge for our dog which was nice. The place is a bit run down on the outside but we were only there for one night. The room had a nice table for eating our dinner and still had a good amount of room to move around. The place is right on I30 so ask for a room on the inside court area which was quieter and easier to sleep. Did not ... Read more

For a one-night stay this motel was tolerable but not up to the La Quinta quality we are used to. The good news: plenty of parking for trucks and cars towing trailers, pets are welcome, nice outdoor pool, the breakfast staff server was cheerful and attentive The not so good news: the place is tired and worn, our tub/shower combination would only work in the tub mode, the front desk clerk in the morning seemed under trained and had no one to help her resolve issues with our billing. Pros: low cost, good bed, TV works well,, convenient ice machines Cons: prepackaged breakfast food, waffles only hot offering, sugary cereals, no stopper in sink, all rooms stink from smoke, outside entrance, next to highway (noisy), tub doesn't drain, lobby is the pits. I've stayed at over 30 different Laquintas over the past 15 years. This one is the worst.

Very good check-in experience, room exactly what I expected. Room was very good, location also very good! The grounds were well kept up, and good breakfast in the morning. I also received a text while in route that my room was ready.

This is a pretty old LaQuinta. It needs some paint and updating on the outside. I was in a room upstairs by the highway. I am a senior woman traveling alone, and I wonder why I was not put in a room downstairs so that I could be close to my car. The property is massive and I checked in early...I could have asked but it's nice when folks use common sense when giving out rooms. Upon arriving at my hotel late Friday night when we got to our room from driving four hours, the beds where clean but NOT the floor or bathtub. We did not report it to the front desk until the next morning because we just wanted to go to sleep since it was so late. What we found upon entering the room: The room smelled like marijuana, there was paraphernalia on the floor and the dresser, a dirty sock at the edge of the bed, a dirty wash cloth hanging on the shower rod, the tub was dirty with uri... Not a pleasurable experience. Updates/upgrades and accountability by the housekeeping crew needed. The room was unclean; the carpet was gross; electrical outlets would not accept plugs; the mattress was like sleeping in a bowl.

The room smells of cigarettes, there's mold on the shower curtain the beds are stained. I don't even want to stay here. The fan in the bathroom sounds like an airplane taking off, the toilet barely flushes and the towels were stained. This place needs shut down.

The hotel was very clean and would probably stay again if I was in the area. But the staff needs some more training, check in took to long for a reservation. Also very basic breakfast not even any fruit.

Hotel is worn out. Dirty and filthy. Staff is unresponsive to needs. I have stayed in this location in the past was always pleased. This was not the case this time. The room was downright disgusting. You could literally stick to the floor from the filth that was on the carpet.

First off the room smelled musty. The bathroom was small, the air condition was not working properly so the room got hot. On another note the beds were soft and the breakfast was soso. I travel alot through Texarkana but i will not be staying here. Also the front desk lady had attitude when checking in. This is not something I would expect from La Quinta!

Felt dirty, had dead bugs in bathroom. Ran out toilet paper and not an extra roll in the room. After staying at Valdosta, GA, in December and first time stay and very, very nice, this motel was a big letdown and almost cancelled the reservations in different cities for the rest of the week. Must be a regular motel for workers and truck drivers because it was very loud in the morning with them all leaving.

The building needs up dating, the outside needs to be maintained and windows and side walks and parking lots need to be repaired and cleaned there are spider webs and pot holes in the parking lot! Leaves everywhere and trees not trimmed. The rooms we were in had a musty smell and the vents in the ac had not been cleaned. Room checks and maintenance need to be maintained.

This location is definitely not up to the LaQuinta standards most of us who travel regularly have come to expect. This may be an 'old school' La Quinta but I have stayed at other locations that are much older than this one but are in far better condition. La Quinta is usually among my first choices for a hotel but this one leaves a lot to be desired. The photos I included in my review reveal the room number (163- a king non-smoking room) as well as a stained, worn out carpet and a dirty tu... Read more

Excellent bed, very helpful front desk both at check in and departure. Coffee holder on the coffee machine was missing. The towels supplied were excellent, soft and well laundered. Standard la Quinta Breakfast was good, well presented, and lacked only fruit. Room we had needs a lot of maintenance, the pool was shut but this was after heavy rains so was understandable. Absolutely not your standard La Quinta! We stay regularly at LQ's but this one is below average. Very old needs torn down..ceilings look like mold painted to try & cover up. Room Smells musty. tv did not work, no refrigerator or micro-wave, furniture old. Couple came in after us their room was not even cleaned. The lady at the front desk was very apologetic. We stay in La Quinta Inns all the time and most of them are pretty good, even when they are older. Not this one. We requested a non-smoking room, which they assured us ours was, but we had to keep the fan running all night to keep the room from reeking of cigarettes. The upholstered furniture needed cleaning. The bathtub was really nasty. The bottom of it looked like it had the remains of glue from where they took up a mat. The whole drain apparatus, plug and rim were sitting on the edge o... Read more

As others have said, this is a pretty old LQ. They are in the process of changing out mattresses; when we pulled up to our room there were about 10 new mattresses on the curb with workers there bringing them in to various rooms. I'm hoping they are also in the process of painting/updating a bit as the walls in our room had stains and the carpet was quite old. This hotel has been our usual stopping place in Texarkana for over 20 years. I'm sad to say we probably won't stay here again. It has really gotten run down the past few years. The front desk worker was very nice and efficient. But the room was dingy and the bathtub was stained. The beds were not comfortable. You would probably do better to spend a little more on the LaQuinta on the Texas side of the highway.

Old, Smelly, Dirty, Horrible Mattress, No Iron in room, just unsafe. My stay was for 2 nights. I arrived at 9:PM-ish and checked out at 2:30AM due to the above reasons that we just could not make it through the night so had to check in at another hotel in Texarkana in the middle of the night. Wasted money $$$. Very upset and this property and will NEVER use it again.

Although we were tired from traveling, this hotel had us beat. An older location, it was simply a bed and a hot shower and we were out within 8 hours. On the lower end of the cost spectrum, we should have realized why before we booked it.

Located at the interstate exit--noisy. Smelly. Run down. Did not feel safe. The staff was good and helpful. This hotel has just moved into this building and they are currently working on it. My suggestion is to tear it down. This was my third reservation and stay at LaQuinta in Texarkana, Texas. The first two stays were very nice so I booked the third. Will not make that mistake again.

Awkward location to get to. Crowded parking. The room had so many stains and sticky carpets, it looked like a futile cleanup effort of the Pillsbury Dough Boy explosion in the original Ghostbusters movie. Apart from the crusty occlusions on the mattress, the bedding was quite firm.

Very old and a little creepy. Doors faced the outside like a motel and not a hotel. Carpet was stained and toilet ran constantly. Bed was ok but bedspread was fitted at the bottom and would not come up high enough to cover shoulders. Front desk staff were very nice and friendly.
