Well I have lived in Dallas for more than 30 years, but I buried my mom 3 weeks ago in New Boston, and I guess I just need to get away since it was spring break, and so I decided on Texarkana. I just happened to mention my reason for my reflective visit to the staff and they were sooo overly protective and very accommodating to my every need. They were wonderful from the beginning since it was the 2nd day before it just happened to come up in conversation. I've always received excellent servi... Read more

Room was spacious with huge bathroom and comfortable beds. Staff were courteous and called me by name every time from check in until my check out. The front desk was able to accommodate my very early check in which allowed me some relaxation prior to meeting clients. Michelle, one of the staff members, goes out of her way to make sure every customer is treated with respect and enjoys their stay. I spend 75% of my week in a hotel and have not found many hotel staff that are as kind and respec... Read more

My wife and I recently travelled from Houston, Texas, to Branson, Missouri for a mini-vacation. We left Thursday evening, and drove 5 hours to Texarkana, arriving at 1am. It was halfway, we were tired, and it seemed like a good idea to stop. I'm so glad we did. The Courtyard Texarkana was a wonderful hotel, wonderful room, but the best thing was the time, attention, and hospitality of the night manager - Anthony. He made our stay very enjoyable just by his professionalism and courtesy. I g... Read more

Some of the staff are professional and friendly, but some things did not work at all. Rooms were left uncleaned very often. Early breakfast was not there even though it was requested with details previous night. One occasion my laundry was ruined, because it was washed using too hot temperature. Weekend stay, all right, but not for business traveler.

It's nice, the folks are nice, the rooms are good....but....the gym stinks and they only get one newspaper. It's as expected - but nothing special. It's easy to find and the internet works good. The beds are a little soft. I keep coming i guess that's good.

Stayed here one night last week on the way to Dallas. The staff was really nice. The room was ok but looked a little worn. The A/C was stuck in one temperature and didn't realize it until late into the night. Didn't get much sleep. I talked to the girl at the front desk when I checked out and she was going to make an adjustment to my bill and email it to me later that day but didn't. I called the next day and got another lady and she made the adjustment and emailed it to me within a few ho... Read more

Slight upper level Marriott lodging just down the road from Christus St Michaels Hospital. Just across Interstate 30 from the Mall. Other shopping short distance. At least 4 mediocre chain type restaurants within walking distance. Plenty of parking unless there is a tour bus then tight as I learned one night returning from the hospital. Desk and bar/dining staff at breakfast and dinner are very nice and informative about the area. No lunch there. The menu is standard Marriott Courtyard eggs, waf... Read more

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. The 1st time was with a friend, this time was with my daughter as a stay-cation weekend. I thought that maybe I was being a little critical but it was proven that I wasn't when my 13 year old said she would NEVER stay there again. The front desk clerk was rude (Allison....I got the name this time). I don't know what it is about this location but they focus on the reasons why you are staying at their hotel. The number 1 question is are you here on business... Read more

Last minute stop after 6 hours on the road. Staff were very nice and friendly. Had a couple of drinks in the bar, delicious and relaxing. Our room was spacious and clean. Loved the balcony and pretty view.

My father was in intensive care at Christus St. Michaels Hospital, which is very nearby. I stayed at this hotel several nights while going back and forth to the hospital. The staff was gracious, kind and attentive to my every need. They always asked about my father and made sure I was well cared for. The hotel is clean, and the rooms are nice. The staff makes this place special.

I travel through Texarkana frequently for work. I normally stay at a similar hotel which offers clean rooms and great service but no bar. I found this hotel and selected it due to the fact that I could eat/drink without having to leave...BIG MISTAKE. When I arrived, the desk attendant was friendly and made it a point to push the fact that the bar area was newly renovated and had happy hour specials for its guests. I checked in without any problems, located my room, and was DISGUSTED with t... Read more

The hotel was actually not too bad considering the massive renovation they are doing in the main lobby/ front entrance area. The section of the lobby that they kept open was a nice place to unwind and was very comfortable. Overall the cleanliness was good, however I did find some old McDonald's fries under the bed skirt. Nothing too serious. The hotel was close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. So that was a decent plus.

Stayed last year for a family reunion and had a wonderful stay. This year was very disappointing. Started by keys not working, once in the room it was as if half the furniture was missing. We brought lawn chairs we had in our trunk for additional seating. Breakfast was marginal, it is free and you do get what you pay for. WiFi is very slow but also free. We stayed 2 nights in the 2 bed one bath suite on the 2 new floor. Even though there is a kitchen they do not have trash cans, just the ... Read more

After 14 hrs on the road we made a quick overnight stop. This hotel meet all our needs and we were well rested after a night in extra comfy beds. The rooms were extra large with many spaces to stretch our legs and recharge. The shower in our room had a bench in the shower to sit which was a nice homey, upscale feature in my opinion. Huge closets would make a longer stay on this hotel quite enjoyable.
