Great choice for overnight stay in Sugar Land, TX / Southwest Houston. My husband and I were attending a social function in the Richmond, TX area and chose to stay nearby in Sugar Land. Although we do live in Houston, the proximity to our function was a wise choice since we were driving late at night. Hotel is also a great choice for business purposes, as the location is excellent if you are in the Sugar Land area.

The hotel is newer, clean and very nice for a small hotel. The price is great too. The service ranges from really good to average, lot's of turn over apparently... Lot's of problems with lost and found and/or stolen items. This last time, a LARGE PINK hair dryer was claimed not to be found. I was to be included (CCd) on email correspondence about the missing item, but that never happened. Still unresolved to my knowledge. A similar issue happened before. Then they found the item, but there was n... Read more

We came to Houston for a possible relocation trip. This area is in the heart of where we would look for a home. The hotel was one of the first buildings in this stretch of Hiway 6 and is now almost hidden from the highway. The night we stayed the weather was awful. We were their on the local prom night as well as during a high school baseball and softball tourney. The hotel served as one of the primary lodging locations for the event. I offer this only to say we were expecting lots of nois... Read more

Our experience with the Hilton Gardens Hotel was totally excellent. The Staff were very helpful, especially when we had to travel to a meeting in other close by towns. Every employee from front desk to house keeping were excellent in every way possible.

For the money, and the location I really expected better. My friends we're booked for the wrong day and they would not change their dates. The front desk clerks were rude, and seemed as if they had much better things they could be doing. The bar opened, and we were never served. A friend brought a beer for us, and we were kicked out. The rooms are not a decorated or "clean feeling" as the freshly renovated downstairs lobby perceives they will be. They are dated and a bit musty. For the area and ... Read more

I had a small group staying in Sugar Land for business. This HGI was recommended by one of my colleagues. We stayed at the hotel for just one night...Friday/Saturday. I was extreme surprised how busy this hotel was for a weekend. The hotel seemed like it was hosting a couple events as well as being convenient for a couple of weddings. I thought the staff was friendly, but a bit overwhelmed. Every time I needed stop by the front make a request or buy something from the sundry shop th... Read more

This hotel is conveniently located near stores, and restaurants. It is about 40- 45 minutes to the airport. Cleaning and reception desk service can be improved. We stayed here for a family event. Sales manager failed miserably to impress us. She did not return multiple calls and voicemail messages. Very unreliable, not to mention being unprofessional.

The hotel is centrally located if you have business in Sugar land. It is close to severas eateries and across from a major supermarket. It is also across the street from Fadi's mediterranean restaurante which I Highlanders recommend. The breakfast buffett at the hotel was quite good. Staff is relatively helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and We did not have any isques with housekeeping. We stayed almost 3 weeks. I would certainly return again.

We recently stayed here for my sister's wedding and the service was atrocious. Every interaction with the front desk staff was poor including to my sister on her waiting day. The cafe staff was great, the hotel is clean and updated. I would recommend this hotel were in not for the front desk staff. I'm a frequent traveler and have never had an experience such as this. Customer service training is definitely in order.

It's an okay place to stay in Sugar Land but not worth the cost. The rooms are just okay and the service is spotty. The workout room is very nice. I did not use the pool/spa. The bedding is my biggest complaint. Heavy quilts year round (even when it is very hot outside). The A/C works better in some roooms than others. No complimentary breakfast. Most places have something to offer. They have a breakfast buffet, which looks decent but it costs about $11-12. And, there is no charge for ... Read more

The hotel is actually quite nice but service is lacking at the front desk. The housekeeping staff was lovely and the rooms were pretty comfortable. The front desk however did not appear to understand that their attitude could make or break a guest experience. Needs a major overhaul in this area.

My family and I had stayed in other Hilton Garden Inns in the past and had love it. However, this occasion was different. We stayed three nights. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable so we did not rest at all. Electric Plugs were loose which it is dangerous for young kids. Pool was not clean. On the positive side, breakfast buffet was delicious and staff was friendly.

The hotel and room met all of my expectations. The service that the staff provided went well beyond my expectations. For example one employee not only recommended a place for food late at night, he drove us there and advised us on the best dishes. We had arrived late and were tired and hungry. Upon arrival it was found that the room I had selected with the digital check in had not been cleaned. The staff had to move me to a different room. During the 3 days I was here the housekeeping staff only emptied my trash cans in my room 1 time. The hot water pressure in the bathroom for the sink and the shower was so poor, due to management decisions to save money, that it was impossible to get a quality shower and rinse the shampoo and soap off. The room was nice, staff were nice. Ate a good meal there at the hotel (one of the reasons I like the Garden Inns especially when coming in late.) Had loud neighbors so the night was not as good as it could have been. I realize it is not the hotel's fault on that account though.

This hotel is relatively new and located in the Telfair neighborhood. We were there for a wedding and the hotel was a convenient and affordable place for the group to gather. Breakfast is not included but there is a buffet in the lobby ($12.95pp). For a few extra dollars you can book a suite that will give you a nice sitting area as well. Small, outdoor pool and small gym onsite.

Lobby area was very nice, but that was the best part of my experience here. There was a gentleman working the front desk who seemed very distracted by a woman (maybe a girlfriend) who was hanging around the desk. I was given keys to a room that was already occupied. I walked in on a man who was laying in the bed. This understandably made me nervous the rest of my stay that the same thing would happen to me. My room had a beautiful view of the roof and AC units. Hotel is so nice and staff are very friendly. They really can't do enough for you. I love that Hiltons have Neutrogena bath products. The hotel seems newer and very clean. Nice breakfast buffet. I have 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. The pillows on the bed are miniature and if you are a light sleeper, you may have a problem because the heat/AC is kind of loud.

This is my 3rd time staying at this hotel for business, and I believe my last. When I stayed a few months ago on a weeknight, it was extremely loud inside the hotel as people were partying in the parking lot. Management finally got them to be quiet. The next morning, I had no hot water for my shower. The manager apologized and refunded my money, so I gave them another try. Arrived Friday night, 10/14 at 11:35pm.
