Great Staff. Very accommodating. We drove in late at night, after a long day's drive, and was greeted by friendly, refreshing and accommodating staff. The hotel is conveniently located near Texas State University. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served in a beautiful lobby / eating area that gave everyone plenty of room to enjoy their meal. Bobcat parents recommend this hotel to other families.

Rooms are quiet (didn't hear any freeway noise on 4th floor.) Rooms are VERY clean, bathrooms VERY clean. Common areas very clean. breakfast is good, unless you want eggs, or some alternative to gluten/bread. then it's not for you. Nicole is very helpful. The rest of the staff is ok. Don't swim in the pool - there are underwater bugs all around the sides that swim towards you when you reach out to touch the sides!

The service is friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. The business center is definitely one of the better ones that I've used. My favorite part of the whole experience is the breakfast which is delicious. One of my favorite places to stay and it's conveniently located around the downtown area. Whether your there with family, some couples time, or business, the Hampton is the perfect spot

The location is good. The quality of the furniture and cleanliness of the carpet for the price paid is average at best. I've experienced higher quality Hamptons for lower prices. The service at check-in was good and the food was good. The management was friendly and allowed us to utilize the lobby after checking out.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at this hotel. As with the other stays, we were not disappointed. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, complimentary breakfast and around the clock coffee for those of us who need a little pick-me-up in the afternoon. I think the only thing that should be noted is that it's easy to miss the driveway as the hotel is set way back from the highway. Look for the LUBY'S sign and turn into that driveway. The hotel is located on the right a little ways down the road.

This hotel has a great location whether you are staying in San Marcos to shop at the outlets or are on your way to Austin or San Antonio. The service and staff are friendly and courteous. The room was clean but the furniture and the carpet were old and there were visible damages on some of the furnitures. The breakfast is limited but has little bit of everything. There is coffee and tea available but the hot water was lukewarm in the late afternoon. Also there were large sport groups in the lobb... Read more

Great staff, great cookies! I just wish they had better pillows, as the beds are comfortable but the pillows are flat and don't hold their shape. I had to sleep with 4 pillows! This is very close to the university and right off of the highway so it was easy to get everywhere.

old looking in serious need of updating new furnishings. The location was the main reason I chose this hotel. But wish I had looked more, while the atmosphere of the hotel was ok service was ok , I truly expected a much nicer room for the price I paid, was disappointed the size was good and while it was clean the furniture was very dated and did not match. It was very worn and faded chairs and sofa, the dresser was scratched up one would expect much nicer furniture.

Good location...if you can find it. The hotel is situated in a "cluster" with a few other hotels and the developer wished to maximize the land to th fullest. Parking was a bit strange with a service road running behind it. Once we finally figured it out, we were met by a most attentive staff and the traditional (and filling!) breakfast in the morning. As a Hilton Hhonors member, the WIFI was free.

We had two rooms that were connected, for the kids. One room had a king size bed and a fold down couch, the room connected had two queen size beds. Awesome set up for groups or like us, several children. Rooms were clean and had plenty of linens. We were only there for one night so I can't vouch for much else. We'd stay again if we were in the area!

Location of the hotel is decent, a few restaurants close by. The hotel itself is in good condition and better than some Hamptons. The breakfast was a very big let down. No eggs, no sausage, no bacon, hardly anything. My daughter wanted to get up specifically so we could eat breakfast there and all she ended up eating was a donut. Let down. The lobby is nice and has plenty of seating for morning breakfast. I have a few areas needing improvement but not a deal breaker. Televisions need to be upgraded and include DirecTV. This was the worst $300 (2 nights) that we spent all summer. The beds are harder than the floor, the phones did not work, breakfast was cold and the second morning there was no protein option at all. The second night the neighbors were loud until 3 am and staff did little to help. Everyone that works in this hotel should be required to sleep one night on one of them beds.

Hotel has been a wonderful place to stay on previous occasions. However, it is no longer great because it has not been cared for. It's still clean, but it needs to be cleaned and updated. Good coffee in the afternoon, nice staff; room furnishings are like some old grandma's house. Not modern like lots of competitors, we were surprised. Bathtub had a burn on it and everything looked poorer due to the many fluorescent lights. Loud but effective air conditioner. The room rate (over 180) was too high for this level of hotel. Very nice Hampton Inn. Standard rooms and public areas. Very clean and well-maintained facility. The breakfasts seem to be getting better at Hampton: several hot food choices, along with the usual pastries, fruit, yogurt, juice, etc. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful.
