I love this hotel for it's friendly staff, clean luxurious rooms/suites and all the amenities it has to offer. It's like a mini resort with a big clean pool and Jacuzzi in full sun! It's so comfortable that I could enjoy just staying in, but the area also has a lot to offer with the outlet mall, river, university and near Austin and San Antonio. It's the perfect getaway!

Check in was the only thing that went smoothly. There were dirty dishes out in the hall that remained there until we checked out Saturday morning. There was even a cleaning person on the floor that MOVED the dirty stinky dishes around the corner to push her cart down the hall Friday afternoon. I took my daughter to the pool area to swim. Please consider moving the smoking area from the pool area. My daughter has severe asthma and smoking is not good for her to be around. We had to promptly... Read more

Great Hotel. Very Clean. Like New. Free breakfast can't beat. Will stay here again for sure. Great staff. Easy digital early check in with ability to pick room. Size of the room is big. Free wifi as hilton honors. Would recommend embassy suites for any or your future stays. Have already booked reservations for another location on our next trip. Embassy suites will be our top choice on any future travels

Hotel was okay. Blanket was overused and dirty. Shower could have been cleaner. Had a lot of black stains. Very Dusty room. Had to request for more towels and pillows. Restaurant food was okay. Food brought out cold when it should be warm.

The Hilton Embassy Suites was a great place to stay on our trip out for our nieces graduation. The hotel was clean including our room. It was also very quiet and we were very comfortable. Free breakfast and our server just really took care of us and even asked if we wanted to take extra drinks, breakfast rolls or fruit with us :).

This Embassy Suites location was an absolute joy to stay in! I was there for an event at there conference center. The hotel has great conference rooms with ample space for large events and a customer driven staff. The rooms were large, clean and quiet. Definitely a great place to stay! upon arriving at my room after check in, the door was ajar with the lockbar holding the door open. I went and told the front desk and they stated "it was probably the cleaning staff, so everything is fine!" This is one of my favorite hotels and I stay there about every othermonth. Had kids at TX State for the past 8 years. Always stay at this hotel. Two weeks ago when I checked out the hotel charged me for parking in the parking lot. It was not for valet. Not sure if this was new but never remembered for using the large parking lot. I asked at the front desk and they advised that they make a charge for the parking lot.

This is one of the few hotels I have been to where they actually care about your pre-arrival requests! We had asked for 4 extra pillows for my bad back, some extra towels, and for a 6-pack of diet coke in the fridge. Everything was there when I walked in the room!

I always use online check-in at this hotel, but I have NEVER received the room that I have requested via online check-in. I find on-line check-in useless at this hotel. Clean hotel, a little high priced, OK location. I will be moving to alternative hotel when Hilton Garden Inn is available for booking.

I bought 3 rooms for our family to attend a Galaxy event at the hotel. One family member said " great room - spotless ". Reservations were flawless and checkout was easy with one credit card paying for the 3 rooms. The free breakfast was maybe the best we have ever had at a hotel . Would stay there again, and again. A great Gala event for 300 with a super meal BTW.

I attended the TCCA conference in October 2016 at this hotel and would highly recommend this for a business trip or a family vacation spot. The location is convenient (just off IH-35) and close to the outlet stores for those who would want to "shop". Downtown San Marcos is less than 7 miles North of the hotel. The staff were friendly and accessible. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Instant hot water was a convenience I wasn't expecting but was great !! The free breakfast is truly... Read more

The pull out bed mattress was not comfortable in the slightest. We stayed on Saturday-Monday. Our room was not serviced on Sunday until after 6:30pm And no, we did not have any Do Not disturb on our door! When it finally was serviced, the bare minimum was done. No clean towels left, no coffee, no clean glasses, trash was not removed! When we called down to complain, they did send housekeeping up with supplies we needed. By 6:30 on a Sunday night, the room SHOULD have been taken care of and... Read more

My arrived at 5:15 for our one night stay. The friendly staff informed us of the complimentary happy hour that started at 5:30, so we went and dropped our belongings in the room and headed to happy hour. The had a large selection to choose from and offered snacks as well. We saw a brochure for the spa special so we booked a massage and pedicure for $100. We grabbed a glass of wine to go and went to our room to rent Bad Moms. Which is still in theatre. We went to the spa the next morning and eve... Read more

Reception is a joke and unsanitary. Breakfast is bland and unappetizing. Rooms do not get serviced in a timely manner. Location is fine, but the value for what you pay is lousy. Drive up the road to New Braunfels and spend your money on a cute B&B instead.

This was the third time I stayed at this hotel. Each time has been to attend a business conference. This hotel is one of the best conference venues that I have visited. Easy access. Very comfortable rooms, excellent service, friendly and accommodating staff. Highly recommend this hotel. The beds are great, had a good night's sleep.

Nice room, the staff was very hospitable. Had problems with the internet. Can never get it going on my tablet in my room. I guess you have to join the Hilton Honors to receive it. The room was nice. Although the bathroom could use a 'Fan' as I do take hot showers. I found no switch or any button. It does have a nice happy hour. breakfast bar is okay, better have one of the cooks make your omelet for you.

Great Hotel. Made my stay wonderful. I would come back and stay at this hotel again. It was a great experience. It was great to have such a wonderful breakfast to start my day and it was free. I have been to other hotels that would charge $20 or more for a breakfast buffet. I recommend staying at this hotel.

Very nice hotel with clean rooms and great service. We knew the traffic to the race would be a nightmare so decided to stay a bit further away and flow against the Austin race traffic. Beware some of the main roads are toll toads. This hotel is wonderfully located between San Antonio and Austin with a very short distance to the San Marcos outlet mall. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the mall until 10pm.

We stayed here when we attended the Formula One race. The hotel was very lively. I was worried that the presence of the college football teams, and the cat walks, would cause our room to be noisy, but had requested a corner room, and were on the 9th floor, and it was very quiet (the outer room was a bit noiser, according to our son who was sleeping on the pull out couch). This is just a very well kept and run place and its caters to business, but it has hall the amenities that any five star has, if in the area, stay there and go for it. In the tradition of the Suites this has a little more modern approach, and the conference rooms are very well moveable for any size group.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel in San Marcos, Texas was great. I stayed at the hotel for 5 days for a conference and had a very pleasant experience. The complementary happy hour was a nice touch after a long day. I experienced one small inadvertent bathroom malfunction and the issues was immediately resolved. I will be returning in the future and recommend this hotel.

I accidentally left my expensive sonic are toothbrush in my room after a tiring 2 week stay for business. When I got in touch with staff, they assured me they would check for it and get back to me. I had to contact them a month later, at which point, employee Ruth Buck assured me she had been given permission to reimburse me. I sent her my information, and let her know how much I appreciated her help. It has been one month and she has IGNORED all my attempts to contact. UNBELEIVABLE.

Repeated requests for service went unheeded. Digital Key could not be delivered as advertised. Maintenance of room facilities never arrived. Staff seemed stymied and unable to make things happen. When I displayed my displeasure and annoyance, nothing was done to make sure that I was satisfied. And then the problems kept growing. Not a Hilton experience in the lower end of the brand.

"I can't help you" is their theme. Jerry "the manager" repeated that three times when I called to see if they had my wallet, and directed me to their lost and found page. Their lost and found page sends an email which is the equivalent of "don't call us we'll [email] you." So now I have no credit cards or ID two days before Thanksgiving. I was there for a one day conference, and already wasn't impressed with the hotel. Their courtesy changing of the men's room to a women's room near the confer... Read more

This hotel is not kept as clean as it once was, and needs to receive more attention since it is an area where more tourists/shoppers frequent. The restroom, throughout the night smelled like sewage, and when I complained to the clerk in the morning, she stated that an engineer would look into it. Upon returning to my room that day, the smell spilled over into the living area. I then went downstairs to check-out and complained again. Another clerk said, "Thanks. As San Marcos is fairly quiet by comparison it means you're split for choice which way to drive in the evening, an easy hour or so (traffic allowing) in the car to either city.
