The lounge was very nice - as was the convention facility. The housekeeping for my room was the worst I've ever experienced. The restaurant was woefully unprepared for lunch on the days we had training classes. The food that was prepared for our breakfasts was quite nice, and the dinners were good, too.

Valet was super nice however you have to walk down with your ticket to get your vehicle you cannot call ahead. Bryan in front desk which I was told was a supervisor was horrible! Weeks in advance I put a request for a room on a higher up floor and with a view so my daughter would have something to entertain her. Bryan gave us a room on the fourth floor with no view, we had a view of the AC units and a parking garage across the street. When I asked Bryan he said they were fully booked. Came to fi... Read more

Wyndham San Antonio Riverwalk was in an excellent location. Hotel is beautiful, but there were several problems with the visit. First day, the room Was Not cleaned and No clean towels. Second day, the room Was cleaned, but No clean towels left. Third day, we were going to use the pool and the pool water was Green!!! When speaking with the Front Desk Mgr, John,. we were assured the water was tested and safe to use. He also promised the return of my Rewards Points used for the last day, but after ... Read more

Hotel was nice...breakfast was confusing, sort of a hybrid of buffet and table service/wait to be seated. Valet parking vs self parking was a $5 difference? Seemed odd that it was that small a difference. One thing I DO NOT LIKE about Wyndham, and they have gotten me TWICE on this in San Antonio is the pitch the make about their "CLUB" which you pay like $99 and you get a two night stay in various hotels in the area, a $50 dinner voucher, and a few other things in exchange for listening to ... There was an issue when we got back to the room after an evening out our first night. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke. We notified the desk, an attendant was in our room within 5 min. He verified guests in room next to us must be smoking. (In a non smoking hotel). He left, came back in 5 min.with luggage cart, and helped us to a new room. The rest of our stay was nice. The staff, very accommodating, clean room, nice bar, room service was good, good breakfast but pricey, wifi costs extra, in... Read more

All the hotels we stayed at with Wyndam and even the National Park at Grand Canyon had refrigerators or iron and board. I'm sure they would have provided iron if we requested. Why does this Wyndham not have refrigerator? I can't answer that. Service was top notice. As other reviewers stated it is on the riverwalk but not on main strip where restaurants are. Approximately 1 mile down the street. The parking fees for Wyndam rewards members and guests are above average ($25/night) when lookin... Read more

The toilet in our room would not flush because the tank would not fill up. Every day we asked for it to be fixed and while a temporary fix was made, it would only flush correctly once and then for the rest of the day, would not flush correctly. We ended up using the public restroom on the 2nd floor.

Attended photography contest. Housekeeping hard to find, had to ask desk to get oom cleaned after missing 2nd day Ina row! Pool area ok, but paint peeling, lights need repair. Spa nominal. Restaurant overpriced and service slow. Most visitors left for meals. For anything other than Mexican food, be prepared for a hike, Uber, or drive. Will not return.

First, to clarify, we stayed here while attending a conference. First impressions, it is a very attractive, clean, upscale hotel. Our room (1 king + sofa) was large and comfortable. We did have some minor issues with housekeeping. Once they took our hand towels and forgot to replace them so we had to call the desk. Once, we asked if we could have our room cleaned "now". They said no problem. We will be there within the hour. Well, about 4 hours later, it was cleaned. Bed was very comforta... Read more

Arriving there were belle hops standing inside, but when we got out of the cab no one helped. I have never before touched my luggage at a Wyndham. The worst for cleanliness at a Wyndham. Black hairs on floor in bathroom. The room maid showed 5 minutes before we were leaving. We told her this, she asked if we were checking out we said no just need garbage removed, a fresh wash cloth. Returned 6 hours later to find nothing done. This is at 7 pm. There were a few displays of attitude by wait staff... Read more

I traveled to San Antonio recently for a payroll class and stayed at this hotel for six nights. The staff was very friendly and my room was nice and clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Antonio for a class at the American Payroll Association. The location was convenient to both the APA training center and the Riverwalk.

I stayed at this hotel for 9 nights, helping and attending a conference at the hotel. I had a wonderful room on the 21st floor, with a nice view of the Milam building, the first air-conditioned high rise in the US - 1928. Without knowing, I was on the VIP list so I got turn down service and free water each night. Loved it but there was 2 nights I didn't have the service. The hotel is green, so they only change linens and towels every 3 days, which is fine with me. There are 3 elevators and ... Read more

My room was perfect! Staff was fantastic!! I was there for 3 nights and 3 days for a conference. There were a couple of times I used the hotel restaurant instead of driving or walking for a meal. The buffet for lunch was "bbq" brisket and ribs. They tasted like rubber with bbq sauce poured over them. Also, sodas are not fountain. You're paying $2+ bucks for them to pour a canned soda into a glass of ice. My breakfast in the restaurant was pleasant. I would stay here again!! The valet s... Read more

If the coffee and water service is only for the first day you should have that listed plainly in the room. Bath tub was not cleaned daily did not have a bath matt the last day. The room was comfortable and very clean. The parking took a little getting used to, but it was actually pretty convenient. You have to use your key card to activate the elevator. The staff was friendly and very helpful when needed. Hotel was clean and comfortable. My only two complaints are that they charge $9.95 daily to access wifi and the hotel restaurant food was mediocre for price. It is a good choice if you want access to the river walk, but can't afford the rates at the hotels that are in the heart of the busy sections. It's a little far from the real action of the river walk.

This hotel has a Riverwalk price, but is not comparable to other similarly priced hotels in the area. There did not seem to be adequate staff available during a peak time at the hotel. Room service was unreliable and forgot our order (they ran out of two or three entrees we wanted to order and the food quality should have been better). The valet, however, is SUPERB (although it costs the same as the Ritz Carlton, btw). They also charge for internet.

The cleanliness of the room was truly lacking. One of the beds in the room had dirty sheets. The floor in the bathroom hadn't been swept, much less mopped. All of the staff at this hotel were excellent and very attentive. I was there for a conference. The only negative that I have was that I booked the hotel with a conference code and I was given an adequate room but there was not a closet or iron/ironing board. I was there for five days. Good thing I packed the morning I arrived. I did not call for an iron/ironboard, they probably would have delivered but with the cost of the rooms I wouldn't have expected to have to.
