We were booked to this hotel for a large sports tournament at the convention center. The hotel was at full capacity and the staff was stretched to handle our large group. The lobby is small and unimpressive but the rooms are large and very nice. Self-park in the garage across the street is high at $25 so Valet parking ($30 overnight) appears to be around the same value. The hotel agreed to keep the restaurant open late accommodate our large group for dinner after our tournament ended. We were th... Read more

We came down to San Antonio the weekend on Jan 6 2017 for our son 10th birthday. My son was so excited because he has been wanting to use a hot tube. We got there in it was " down for maintenance". He was really bummed, that was our whole reason for choosing this hotel. When we checked it It wasnt mentioned to me that there was a $50 hold a night (It wouldn't have been an issue if it was mentioned at check-in) all that was discussed at check in was how to us the card and initial here, here and ... Property was easy to find as it was a first visit for a few us! We were able to find the popular Cafe Blanco which is in walking distance. But it was the parking debacle that was terrible, NO room service menu to be found in the room. We kindly asked our neighbor...

Comfortable rooms. the bathroom was not completely clean..and the tub had a bit of a draining problem beware 25.00 for self parking 35.00 a day for valet refrigerator and microwave daily charge and 150.00 incidental hold for stay also the properties typically don't run my card before I arrive for the reservation it is this properties practice to run you card before arrival.

The hotel is rated as a 4 star hotel. Personally, it's more like a 3.5. It is a decent hotel with a small lobby that is average. There is a charge for self parking $25 which is across the street in a parking garage. The hotel is located "on the riverwalk" but further away from most of the restaurants, etc. The room was as expected and the rooftop pool was slightly heated.

I read reviews here before I booked and so was a little leery due to some of the negative ones. However, our stay turned out to be just fine. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and spacious, and the hotel is maybe 4 blocks away from an entrance to the River Walk. Be careful of the friendly 'concierge' who greets you as you come in the door, though. She tells you to come back to see her because she has discounts and coupons for attractions, but it's really just a sales pitch for Wy... Read more

All of the staff at this hotel were excellent and very attentive. I was there for a conference. The only negative that I have was that I booked the hotel with a conference code and I was given an adequate room but there was not a closet or iron/ironing board. I was there for five days. Good thing I packed the morning I arrived. I did not call for an iron/ironboard, they probably would have delivered but with the cost of the rooms I wouldn't have expected to have to.

Bed linen was dirty on arrival, asked for it to be changed and marked sheet when I returned to room note said it had been changed but the mark I made on sheet was still in same place. The morning after 1st night all towels removed and not replaced. Ice bucket on arrival still with water in bag from previous guest still in room! Carpet in room stained and dirty looking.

The cleanliness of the room was truly lacking. One of the beds in the room had dirty sheets. The floor in the bathroom hadn't been swept, much less mopped. The mirror on the door to the bathroom was filthy. The toilet had to be flushed 2-3 times before it would actually flush. We had an adjoining room and asked if they could clean that one room, after one of our colleagues fell ill with strep throat. Not sure what they actually did, but the beds had been made, however it appeared that some... Read more

This hotel has a Riverwalk price, but is not comparable to other similarly priced hotels in the area. There did not seem to be adequate staff available during a peak time at the hotel. Room service was unreliable and forgot our order (they ran out of two or three entrees we wanted to order and the food quality should have been better). The valet, however, is SUPERB (although it costs the same as the Ritz Carlton, btw). They also charge for internet.
