One of the best hotels we have stayed in. The staff was terrific. Be sure and splurge for the balcony room overlooking the riverwalk. Be sure an set outside to enjoy Sunday breakfast right on the riverwalk. You will not be disappointed!!

This hotel is in the perfect location. Rooms are spacious and clean. This is not a "cookie-cutter" hotel. The property fits the style of old SA and the history in the architecture is beautiful. We'll definitely stay here again.

This hotel has a great location right on the riverwalk. It doesn't have a great entry and the lobby is quite cramped. Our room was a decent size and very pleasant with a shared balcony looking over the riverwalk. The bathroom was quite small though. We had a lovely turn-down service one night which was a nice touch, but not repeated the next night. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the lovely restaurant. I just wish hotels wouldn't deal with breakfasts on a voucher system. Most 5 st... Read more

In 2 1/2 days, I had 11 keys that worked once. I continually had to get new keys made (which would not work) and then get security to let me in. I was told they were "French" doors and were problematic. Otherwise, the hotel was okay. It could use a little more insulation from noise and some updates... but otherwise it was okay. After asking upon checkout, I was given a $75 credit for the hassle. It's a good location, just needs some updating for the price.

We stayed 3 days and 2 nights. Hotel location is amazing. Walking distance to pretty much anywhere, including The Alamo , restaurants and pubs alongside the riverwalk, The Mall, theaters, museums and Las Villitas. Hotel grounds are really beautiful and access to the waterway is a breeze. Cute pool area with a fire pit but where never able to sit around it since it was always full. Here comes the reasons I gave it a 3 star. Rooms and bathrooms are small. We had a river view king size room and ... Read more

Nice hotel to be so old but don't try to hang your towel to reach from the shower or park your car for less than $40 per night; park across the street for $9. I have stayed here a few times for the proximity to the River Walk. Staff is friendly. It is clean, just old.

The Omni La Mansion del Rio is a classic. This hotel continues to excel in offering a romantic getaway or a quiet business trip. Upgrade to a low floor on riverside. Room 121 has an extra large balcony and is in a prime location for people watching. The pool is quietly located in an interior courtyard. The hotel is historic, quaint and full of charm. My family and I stayed here right after Christmas. From trying to check in to leaving was a nightmare. Arrived a little early and was told my room was not ready and they would call. Check in was supposed to be a 3 at 430 I had to call to see if my room was ready. I paid for turn down service for my children i had to call and remind the front desk both nights. I will not be staying here again. I would recommend staying at another hotel.
