The Lazy River, pool basketball and volleyball. You can grab a couple of bikes for free and ride around the property. You can explore trails through the woods. The Flowrider is also fun but a bit pricey. The property also has 27 holes of beautiful golf links. I was able to play 18 for a very reasonab... Read more

We stayed at the property from May 20 -23rd for three nights. We had three rooms for our family. We had the standard room with a view of the playground. We have stayed at this hotel three times within the past year and have really enjoyed the property. There were only a few things that disappointed me this time. One was we booked the room for two adults and two children and every day we would only have enough towels for two people in our room. We had to continually call housekeeping everyda... Read more

San Antonio has several resort properties like the Hyatt. But the Hyatt remains our favorite. We have been here multiple times over the last 15 years. Our favorite way to come is to bring guests of ours for one or two nights. There are so many extra things that the hotel does that we don't get other resorts. We love the Smore's, movie on the lawn, flow rider, lazy river and putting golf balls on the golf course. The resort seems so much more intimate and secluded even though it's in San Antonio... When I checked in Brian Neihaus, the front office manager, made sure we didn't miss a thing and even encouraged me to try their FLOW RIDER. The tennis courts are well kept and cold water was available court side. The pools were clean and the pool cafe offers many goodies to choose from. Nestled in the western reaches of the historic Alamo City lies an Oak studded retreat representing the very best of what Texas has to offer for families on summer vacation! This enchanted land farmed by indigenous people, conquered by Spaniards, held by Mexicans, settled by Germans, ranched by frontiersmen and former slaves is a fitting place to relax, renew and appreciate indomitable spirit of the Lone Star State and the American Southwest. We recently visited the Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio and were thrilled at the service the hotel provided. The staff was fantastic from check in to check out. They treated our 19 month old like she owned the hotel. It is very family oriented and has a variety of options to entertain the family on premise. It is located very close to Sea World and the Antlers restaurant on site was a high end quality. Will definitely stay again.

Bathroom not done, Soap and champoo not replaced, Hoover not done, trash bins full, toilets not cleaned with urine stains on the floor, no fresh air in the room. As guests at the Hyatt Regency Hill Top Resort in San Antonio, we found it to be a very safe and serene place to relax and have fun floating down the lazy river on a tub, playing sand volleyball, eating s'mores, biking or just take a walk around the beautiful property. There were 17 members of our family so it was like a wonderful reunion. We dined at the Antler's Lodge, Springhouse Café, and Papa Ed's Pool Bar finding all the food delicious.

We had a good time here for a few days away. The hotel is nicely nestled among great big trees throughout the expansive and well maintained scenic grounds. The onsite food is only ok (we didn't eat at Antlers the fancier restaurant). There are good size breakfast tacos in the general store till 11a daily. Service throughout is a bit hit or miss - for somewhere that I think strives for excellence. A nice gym, although compared to the rest of the hotel I'd expect a bit more. They do have a $30/... I spent about 6 months staying at this hotel every week, returning home on the weekends. I got to experience just about every type of room in the property -- from what felt like "decent" rooms on the first floor (your standard hotel room, but nothing special -- though they could have used some modernizing in the bathroom with a tile update for example) through unbelievable multi-room suites. The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa will not and does not disappoint! The rooms are very nice, but the rest of the hotels and grounds are spectacular. This is our go to place to stay when going to San Antonio. It is about a 15 minute drive (without traffic) to the Riverwalk/Downtown and about 10 minutes to Sea World, 6 Flags and shopping at LaCantera. I highly recommend staying here, whether is is for a romantic getaway or for your family!!

We stayed here for a couple of nights with our two small children (1 and 3) and had the BEST time. The pool/lazy river is amazing. The landscaping is such that it actually feels more like floating a real river than a swimming in a pool. Our kids loved the beach that they created with a gentle entry into the lazy river. Last year we went to the one in Bastrop but when we were booking this one in San Antonio was $100 less per night. Beautiful setting on the edge of the Texas Hill Country. Large resort with golf (if you play) and some water features. Definitely for families as each day has activities planned for the children. Although the facility is pleasing to the eyes, on weekends it is overrun by noisy families with no travel experience. I couldn't take advantage of any of the water facilities as it was basically a dirty, floating band aid. Walls are paper thin. Management is too young & inexperienced to really change much. Very Nice place. Good for a small to medium conference. Food better than other conference food. Good golf. Very helpful staff. Second time I have stayed here. All of Hyatt themed resorts are worth staying at.

I loved the feel of the main lobby--everything is big and comfortable in Texas. I have always have loved Texas ever since I was a child. I only get to Texas infrequently now and each time try to relive old pleasant experiences and make new ones to relive in the future.

If you are going to San Antonio, you must stay here. Safety, security and comfort. You can't get in this property unless you are a guest so no one breaking into cars and such. Beautiful resort feel. Nice folks!!

My Mom, three sisters and I had a very relaxing day of pampering at the Wildflower Spa at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort. We had massages, facials and body scrubs and our therapists were all first rate. Our hotel room was spacious and the Starbucks Coffee and bottled water was a treat. The service by the hotel staff and the spa staff was the best we have ever experienced and that is saying a lot. This isn't your typical resort-you have wide open spaces, nature surrounds you, there a... Read more

This resort offers about anything you could want . . . outdoor venues, restaurants, golf, pool, bars, convention space, well-appointed rooms, and an amazing staff. The resort is gated and you have to have a pass (or viable purpose to be there ) to get in. The layout of the resort seems spacious while having everything within a reasonable distance. The room I was in was a little dated (décor), but was very clean and well maintained. The meeting area was very nice with outdoor patios and pa... Read more

The grounds are nice and the water park looks like fun but beware that you are paying $30/day resort fee plus nearly 23% tax on your entire stay. The hot tubs are a good hike from the rooms. The bikes are fun to use if you can find one that works. The rooms are nice but the towels were ready for retirement. The staff was good and everyone was generally cheerful and helpful. If the weather is cool, the water park is still what you are paying for. Golf and spa fees are quite high on top of the r... Read more

Very beautiful property and the staff was very accomadating and friendly. Only complaint was the room quietness. Could hear people in the hall, in room next door, and outside. Needs to work on soundproofing rooms.

We stayed for 2 days 3 nights. Unfortunately due to an influx of orders we did not receive our pre-ordered room service. Overall our experience was good. Valet service was outstanding! We tipped nicely!

The resort grounds were very beautiful and well maintained. The service was average but the rooms were dirty. The bathroomseemed like it had not been mopped in a long time and there was hair on the floor and the door. Housekeeping forgot to replenish supplies and we had to wait almost an hour to receive them when we requested face towels.

This is an excellent resort to stay at when visiting Sea World. It is located right across the street. The hotel has excellent amenities: multiple pools, lazy river, kid activities, spa and golf. The food is good and the staff is excellent. This is a must stay for a family vacation.

This is our third time staying at this resort. It's a great place for a family vacation. There are a ton of hotel activities for the kids and the location to Sea World, across the street, can't be beat. The staff is friendly and professional. The resort amenities: lazy river, multiple pools, spa and golf are excellent.

Great family resort with a number of amenities. The pools are awesome, there was a bounce house for down time, and bike rentals as well. Beautiful grounds as well for just going on a walk. We all had a blast and plan to visit again, hopefully soon!

This hotel is really huge! The decoration is more rustic and cowboyish but has a charm about it also so its size doesn't overwhelm but you could easily get lost here. The outside area is also huge with many paths to walk and bikes to rent. There are also many pools with fun things for kids. We hope to go back with our grandchildren when they are older so they can really appreciate all the things to do. The one thing we would do is go to other restaurants to eat since the ones they have in the ho... Read more

We enjoy the atmosphere and room with a view! The food was good but we felt the Thanksgiving buffet was overpriced. We were able to relax, if your trying to get away from kids this is not the place as they cater to children wonderfully. You are cared for very well by the staff and if your a golfer the facilities are excellent!

My wife and I stayed at the hotel over the Thanksgiving holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed the family atmosphere even though we did not have children with us. All staff were attentive. The grounds are well maintained and fun to explore. We will definitely look for an opportunity to share the experience with extended family including grand children in the future.

We just 'discovered' Hill Country. And have, at this point, stayed once last month. And again, this month. Plan on going again next month. Our little ones (6 and 8) absolutely love all the activities they had on site. It was only 2 times, so maybe they will get bored. But we will chance it. :) My only two 'not perfect' comment would be 1) slight smell of smoke and 2) there was a small (higher pitched) dog barking for about an hour at night. I didn't complain about it so it was not on them to f... Read more

Great hotel, a very family friendly property that is a great pleasure to stay at. All our needs were taken care of and the staff said hi and hello everytime we were seen. I have stayed at the jw it's ok I think the Hyatt is better the one thing is when you roast marsh mellows jw has some kind of heating element where as the Hyatt uses mesquite wood fire pits. The jw is elegant but compact feeling that your in New York were the Hyatt is warm and cozy and that's what the hill country is all about

We stayed here over thanksgiving 2016. The hotel has a fantastic authentic Texas feel. Everyday over the thanksgiving break they had lots of different activities on for the kids. Such as arts and crafts, bounce houses etc... they also added extra stuff to make it feel really special like singing cowboys in the lobby and the closest thing to the real santa i've ever seen, smores movie nights. The pools/lazy river/surfing were all constantly heated, free bike rentals, walking trails etc.... I coul... Read more
