My wife and I had a great time at the Hotel Contessa. The staff was great and you can tell they enjoyed working there. On Saturday we were in and out of the hotel often and the bellmen were hustling every time we came in. Its location on the river is beautiful. If you like to jog or run steps this is the perfect location. We will definitely be back when in the area again. One pretty cool thing we saw while grabbing a quick bite at a nearby restaurant was seeing a police officer come inside to g... Read more

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Contessa for a two-night anniversary getaway and had a great experience. Every staff member was courteous and went above and beyond from well before we even arrived to well after we left. The property was beautiful, well-maintained, and filled with amenities. We will certainly be back the next time we're in San Antonio. We couldn't expect more in a hotel.

The impressive Contessa Hotel provides visitors to the Alamo City with a splendid little respite in the heart of this busy city. With so many properties from which to choose, you will find the Contessa large enough to meet your needs but small enough to offer a true touch of that famous South Texas hospitality. The atrium design makes for great people watching from the centrally located common spaces. Close to almost everything that brings visitors, this San Antonio hotel is well worth a trip.

I came in late morning and wanted to check in 5 hrs early. The staff was extremely polite and tried to accommodate me. My room wasn't ready but they did a pre check in and called me an hour later to tell me I could get into my room. All staff were wonderful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with great views.

We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary here and we are very pleased with that decision. The staff are courteous from check in to check out. They are welcoming and even sent champagne in our room to celebrate; what a nice gesture. The place is well kept and very clean. They are right on the riverwalk which is such a nice view. They are on the quieter side of it which we really liked. This hotel is absolutely worth our stay. We would recommend it.

Stayed three nights for a convention. Hotel is centrally located. It is close to the riverwalk, mall and convention center. All walking distance. Front desk was very friendly at check in. Rooms are all suites. Very spacious. I chose a room with a riverwalk view. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was nice and clean. Modern hotel with modern amenities. I really didn't get to enjoy the hotel as I was there for a convention but the bar seemed to be busy every night I was there. Will definitely come stay... Read more

This is a eight minute walk to the Gonzalez convention center and on the river walk. Every person we spoke with in the hotel was very nice and helpful. The morning buffet was reasonable with juice and coffee provided. I would stay here again.

My husband and I took a weekend away to San Antonio for our babymoon and husband's birthday weekend. The hotel was nice and check in was super easy. They have a rooftop hot tub and pool, which was nice and quiet. We used the spa and they had great massage service. The booking was quite simple. At the end of our massage, they also gave us a small gift which was a very nice gesture. The concierge was helpful in providing a list of what we could do around the town. Since it was my husband's birthda... Read more

We had a family gathering of 11 people 6 rooms for Thanksgiving 2016. The rooms were nice we all had suites I had a King suite overlooking the Riverwalk. Room was comfortable but furnished like it was IKEA. Couches were like there were from a college dorm room, had high table and tall chairs to sit on in the lounging area as well as a desk. The room was very cold or hot no matter how I adjusted the temperature there just was no middle. There was really no comforter or blanket, except in the ... Read more
